Sam bounded out of her cat door and ran down the street. She saw a huge forest and decided to skirt the outsides of it. She wasn't afraid, of course, But she wanted to save the delicacies for some time when she had a friend to go with.

As she bounded along the forest a squirrel rushed by. Without realizing it, Sam pounced on it and killed it swiftly. "Should I eat it?' Sam wondered alound. She decided to try and found it as delicious as Fancy Feast. She finished it off and bounded away.

She came to a tree that looked hard to climb. Well, if it's hard to climb, Sam wanted to climb it. She put her paws around it and tried to lever herself up, but found that didn't work too well.

Sam's claws found nooks and crannes in the tree, and after a bit, Sam found herself at the top of the tree! 'Yes!' Sam yelled. She didn't expect tree climbing to be so EASY!

She walked out on a low limb and jumped off from there. She licked her paw roughly and lay down in the sun.
