(Whitesky started this with her poem, she's just inspired me to write one about Riki and Baldwin. You guys can write and post a poem-or poems-about your spirit animals here if you'd like. I read that filling your room with your animal, painting your animal, and things like that will strengthen the connection by letting them know they're welcomed. So y'all should try. =D)
Eagles in my Mind
Soaring high above the treetops, Wind and rocks and dirt and sand, They fly like kangaroos can hop, The eagles on their secluded land.
Two of them, brothers they are, Dip and duck and screech in the air. Together they can go so far, Alone they can go nowhere.
Breathing in the winds of the sea, Strength floods their bodies whole. Representing the Land of the Free, Forced with justice, we pay the toll.
Whispers in my mind confront me, Shadows in my head emerge, In my world I climb a tree, Spirits and beings begin to merge.
I stand there waiting, so alone, They come flying, flew, flown. They take me on their backs to the sea Where we land and I can breath.
With knowledge they fill my head. Wise and brave, they tell me what's to come, Secrets of the past, stories unsaid, Of good times, bad times, sadness, and fun.
I thank them kindly as they fly away Into the never ending sky in my mind, Again we will meet, another day. Leaving me bits on Earth to find.

The Swans of Me
The graceful beauty of swans The dignity of their image It seems that doesn't last long For surely, they are bound with heritage
But alas, their beauty is everlasting As they sail the peaceful waters Who knew that they would be so entrancing As this beauty has been passed down from mothers and fathers
They can be different as night and day Like good and bad, fire and water, darkness and light Lets look at these swans and see what they say, For each swan is unique in their own sight
The white swan, as bright as the morn Its white feathers floating like down As the they fly through the sky and first dawn This swan is surely no clown
Then the black swan, the rarest of all Black as the night with no stars They are not as bright as a great crystal ball But at least they aren't behind bars
These two different swans like day and night They guide in the ways of dignity and grace Brother and sister that cause no fright Siren and Reil I like to call them as they leave no trace
I know it doesn't make a lot of sense, but I gave it my best.

Meeting with the Bear Eyes drawn to a bear, Tall and proud, he stands, Looking at me, with great care, In this distant land.
We do not approach each other, But stay far away, As if afraid to bother, Yet he takes no delay.
A name was spoken, Luis, his name, And soon I awaken, Not at all the same.
I tried.
