Burned Up ________________________________________ Okay, so I don't know what it was, but I just had a very odd dream last night. Also, I only know how I looked because my dreams are always from someone else's perspective. So, I was lying on a beach, white sand all around me. I could hear the roar of water near me, but I knew it wasn't an ocean instantly. The water was made of stardust, and sparkled all different shades of silver and bronze. The moon shone above my head, silver and golden, like always. I stood up, and looked downward. I was in a pair of white skin-tight jeans, a white T-shirt, and a white hoodie. My shoes were white Vans, and my hair had been straightened out, and dyed so that caramel tints shone from it. My eyes were a calm, cold blue-gray. I took a breath, and smelled the glorious scent of sage incense. "Hey, Jordan." A voice said behind me. Sarah. I recognized the voice instantly. A reflex. "Hi, Sarah!" I said, with no control over myself. "'Sup?" "Nothing...just came here to bring something to you." She stepped foreward, and gave me a hug. "Don't forget; beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Oh, and no matter how great your poker face is, no one can keep one on forever. You ought to get rid of your gambling habits." She whispered, and the dream dissolved. I opened my eyes, thinking of only the sight of her brown eyes, and the smell of the incense.
______________
Now, my only question is what does it mean? The poker face thing is obvious. I already know what that means...but I'm not going to say it here, and only to certain people. Anyway, the incense is pretty obvious as well; sage is Sarah's favorite. It's also the name of my ex-because-dead-boyfriend. I think that represented him burning away from my life. I get that I've changed a lot, and this is the only place I can dream myself into. I'm pretty sure that--with an excessive amount of change--your spirit world can change. Any opinions?

1) Whats with the gambling problem part? That could be important.
2) Perhaps she meant its some sort of inner secret, something you've been keeping for so long you just don't think about it anymore.

Well obviously you need to let it out.
If your spirit world is changing, and you have a spirit or something telling you to do so, it might be for the best.

That is true...well, since no one I know in my school is here, I'll say it now; I'm a transgender. Physically, I'm a guy. But psychosexually...I'm not...

"Don't forget; beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Oh, and no matter how great your poker face is, no one can keep one on forever. You ought to get rid of your gambling habits." Gambling in a dream often represents the risk that is with a decision you make. I'll offer more ideas on this tomorrow... I'm tired right now...

Well I think the first part means that you choose who's pretty and who's not. Don't take other opinions until you see whatever it is. Pokerface might represent you, how you're hidden from the world because of your difference. Like Mintleaf said, gambling could represent a decision.
White represents purity, the stardust-ocean might mean wonderment or other-worldly. The fact the moon was full might mean a time-frame. A full moon is coming soon. Since Sage was your ex-dead, maybe it means the 'Other-worldly will visit during the full moon'. Sarah must be a close fright, which means that you should trust what she told you.

She is one of my best friends. I forgot to mention that I felt a different presence there. It wasn't really bad, nor was it overhwelming, but obviously there. I suppose I've a guide now...I've got it! The other day, I dized off, and was staring at one of those magic eye things. Rather than what it was supposed to be, it was a cat. A black cat, with blue eyes. I blinked, and it was gone, but a cat that looked mucho like the one I saw was staring at me from across the block, just yesterday. It nodded to me, and wandered off...
