The half moon shone in the sky, giving Fernpelt just enough light to find her way to the rocks with ease. She had been here often enough that she could probably pick her way to it in darkness, but the light was comforting. The monthly meeting with Cloudclan was tonight, but Fernpelt was positive they'd have nothing to say. TreeClan's territory had been burned down, nothing worse could happen now...right?

Waspwing walked slowly a couple fox-lengths from Fernpelt. He was miserable and tired, and just wanted to lay down, sleep and then go back to Iceclan. 'I can't even go home, great.' He thought bitterly, sitting down at the edge of the Shimmering Rocks. "I don't know why we bothered to come this time, Fernpelt." He muttered, looking at the brown she-cat. "Nobody else comes, anyway. Why might as well just go back, get a head start."

I flicked my tail in greeting to the two other medicine cats. "I come." I dipped my head to them. "Greetings. We've never met. I'm RockClan's new medicine cat, Snakefang. Who might you two be?" I asked in my most casual way. I was hoping to make friends with these two, and if not...Well, I just didn't want to make enemies in the future, in case we needed to bargin or something for herbs.

Clovepetal dashed through the grass, her russet pelt gleaming in the moonlight. It was her first Medicine Cat meeting! Her breathing was ragged from her excursion. She wasn't sure what Forestbreak was doing. When Clovepetal realized she was late, she had dashed out of the camp immediately.
Finally, some other cats came into her view. They smelled of TreeClan....and IceClan? She shrugged it off. She also smelled a RockClanner. She straightened her shoulders and presented herself.
"-Ahem-, I am Clovepetal. FireClan's new Head Medicine Cat."

I rush over, "I'm here." I say, panting. "Who are we missing?" I ask, looking over the cats. Tonight was my first night of a medicine cat meeting and I was excited. Excited being used lightly. (Sorry, I'm using my phone.)

"Fernpelt, Head Medicine Cat of TreeClan," the torbie said neutrally. Gazing out at the newcomers, she wondered what they'd be like. She wasn't particularly inclined to try and make friends with them, but then again she wasn't particularly inclined to make friends with anyone.
"Very nice to meet you, Snakefang and Clovepetal. Brightflame, I'm afraid I'm not sure. I still haven't met the newly appointed Medicine Cat's of the clans. Perhaps Clovepetal knows about her companion...?" Fernpelt trailed off. It was hard work being informative and not snappy. She felt as though she'd done more than her share, though, and was quite pleased with her accomplishment. The she-cat decided to let Waspwing take over with the niceties.

Clovepetal's tail flickered nervously as Fernpelt put the attention on her. A small breeze rustled through her fur. "Oh, yes, well, Forestbreak was still in the den when I left. I'm sure she'll be here soon...." she trailed off, because she wasn't sure if Forestbreak would be here soon...
Clovepetal had a right to be nervous! It was her very first Medicine Cat Meeting, she was a newly appointed Head Medicine Cat, and she was without her companion! However, she wanted to prove herself as a qualified healer. The young she-cat was, of course, only 17 moons old. She was the youngest Head Medicine Cat here, and that made the others intimidating. She was the age of most Medicine Cat apprentices!
Actually, that made her feel a bit better. She was so young, and Darkstar still believed that she was qualififed to save the lives of her clanmates. She smiled a bit and corrected her posture.
"So, what about the others?" The russet she-cat asked Brightflame and Snakefang.

Waspwing blinked at the other three medicine cats, too tired and bored to really say anything. "I'm Waspwing." He muttered, turning to the Shimmering Rocks. "Are we going to wait all night, or shall we just go ahead and get on with the meeting? We have one Medicine Cat from every clan now, after all." He said to the cats behind him.
He knew Brightflame already, seeing as how he was in Iceclan. The older tom was alright, and appeared to be a good Medicine Cat. Clovepetal looked young, very young. And Snakefang looked like he was around Waspwing's own age. Hopefully these new Med. Cats would keep up with the Half Moon Meetings, and not just come to their first.

Forestbreak sprinted into the clearing. "Sorry I'm late," she growled. "Got a bit tangled up in a bramble bush." Grinning crookedly, the tabby slunk next to Clovepetal and nodded to each of the others in turn. Fernpelt of TreeClan, and Waspwing, the Head Medicine Cat of the Clan. He'd replaced Crystal-something, as far as she knew. Crystalgrow or Crystalflow or something.
Then, the RockClanner. His name was Snakefang, as he had intoned. Who the other one was was unknown to her. And, finally, the IceClan one. What was the name?...
"Shall we get started?" Her impatient hiss was tinged with a serrated edge. The gray cat lashed her tail. It was her first Half-moon, and she was eager to get it going.

"Yes, why not? We should really get going. After all, we can't miss the Half-Moon meeting. The moons coming, and we should get there if we want to see our ancestors," I spoke up, then began to climb up the rocks and the way to Shimmering Rocks. I was better at climbing than the others, no offense to them, but I knew why, since I was a RockClanner. I kept on climbing up, jumping from rock to rock, using my claws to grip the hard surface of the rocks.

I nod in agreement, "We should follow him." I say. I lick a few pieces of grass from my paw and start padding up the rocky hill, easily leaping from rock-to-rock. I wonder if Waterheart is going to show up. I think to myself. Luckily I knew what to do, as he had told me earlier in the day, so I didn't feel completely pathetic. Ugh. I've had so many patients lately. It feels like I never have a moment to myself. I hope nothing else goes wrong while I'm gone. I look up, seeing Snakefang much higher above me. I rush to catch up with him so that I'm not left behind.

CLOVEPETAL Clovepetal let out a breath of relief when Forestbreak sprinted in next to her. She responded to the she-cat's crooked grin with a small smile and returned her attention to the other's speaking. "I suppose we should go now..." Clovepetal agreed. She was beyond nervous, but it was an excited-nervousness. She had absolutely no idea what was going to happen once she went in there. Skyflight and Heatherpelt were gone before they could give her any advice. Clovepetal padded over to the rocks, gracefully leaping from stone to stone. She stopped and faced Forestbreak, waiting for her companion to follow.

Waspwing slowly padded up behind the others, tail tip twitching in annoyance. Too much chatter, too many new faces. He just wanted to go back home, and not Iceclan. He wanted to go back to Treeclan. Especially since he felt like he had forgotten some important herbs, or something. Maybe he would try to get back in camp to see if he could find any remaining herbs.
Hopefully he could get there at all.

Waterheart had been advancing at a faster pace than usual. He knew things among the clans seem tensioned. Waterheart ran into Waspwing on the way to the meeting. He slowed to a pace as he approached Waspwing and managed to put a smile on his face. "Hello Waspwing," he said calmy "how are you on this night?"

Forestbreak followed Clovepetal silently, tail-tip twitching. She dipped her head to Waterheart tersely as he arrived. "Shall we quit our chatter and get going with the meeting?" growled the medicine cat, impatient. Her gray tabby fur was matted from the long walk there, and she wanted it to pay off dearly.
Really, it would stink if they ran out of time before the others picked their rumps up and hauled themselves into the realm of mobility.
Sighing, she twitched her tail, sinking onto her belly and crossing her paws nonchalantly.
