Thorn. My sister's just over the top about it.

 A light gray tabby tom stepped into the shelter of the medicine cat's den. At first, he gazed around, mesmerized at the smooth rock walls and the dried herbs stacked in neat piles. After "a state your business" from one of the medicine cats, he snapped back to reality and quickly replied, " Uh..my sister, Burningkit, has a thorn in her paw."

Burningkit limped into the den, a trail of blood speckles behind her. "It hurts!" She exclaimed. "Pnease help meeee!" She lifted her wounded paw, where the pads were covered with bloodstains. In the very center was a large bramble thorn. Burningkit collapsed in sobs of pain. "I'm going to die!" she squealed.

[Sunblaze]

Sunblaze walked over to the kit that had just entered the den, wondering why such a young kit had gotten a thorn in her paw. "Where did you get that thorn in your paw?" She questioned lightly. "Were you outside of camp?" She asked. She walked over to the kit and instructed her to lay down then sat down beside her and took Burningkits paw inbetween her two paws and took the thorn inbetween her teeth and quickly pulled it out. She started licking right away to stop it from bleeding.

"Ow!" Burningkit shrieked. She tensed up for a while, but eventually relaxed as Sunblaze licked it. "I stepped on it in the clearing." She mewed, shaking her paw. The blood was already beginning to clot. "Must've come from the dens." Buringkit looked up. "Are the dens made of brambles?"

[Sunblaze]

She stopped licking for a second, realizing the blood had started to clot and it was barely bleeding anymore. She then replied. "Some of the dens are made out of bramble, but it was probably a warrior or apprentice who had it caught in their fur and brought it back to camp. I`ll ask for the next apprentice or warrior who comes into my den to check around the camp." She quickly got up and went to the herb store and grabbed some dock and webs to patch up the wound. She chewed up the dock and placed it over the spot where the thorn had been, then placed the cobweb over it. "Watch where you step when you are in camp now. Also stay off your one paw as much as you can the next few days while it heals" She gave the kits forhead a caring lick and flicked her with her tail on the nose.

Finchkit, who had been watching the whole time, thanked the medicine cat and led a limping Burningkit out of the den.
