Suddenly, the white began to darken, and Cody started to fade. "Wait! Are you real?" She called to him, wondering if he was just a representative of her mind. When her nodded, she smiled, then melted back into her real life. Gasping, April's brown eyes flashed open. Her gaze was distant, darting from one place to another. An ache in her spine grew, and she felt a bone pop. "Danielle!!" Her voice rang through the still air, and fur began to sprout on April's neck. "Help!!" This was the thing that was coming. It was.. A change.

April swiveled her head to look directly into her sister's eyes. She opened her mouth as though she was going to say something, but pain racked her body and bit at the base of her spine where a tail shot out. She squinted in pain, then turned back to her sister. "Run," she gasped. "I don't know what is happening, but RUN!" she was screaming now, and paws took the place of her hands and feet, ears grew, spine bent and rearranged. Brown eyes turned to a blazing gold, and brown fur blanketed the female.

Danniella gasped. She took her weapons, backpack, then she ran. She ran as fast as she could, as far away as she could. Her green eyes turned cold. What if April attacks her, she'd have to kill her own sister, her own relative, her own blood.
Danny found herself in a field, when she looked up there was a mountain. Then she shook her head. Wolves live in caves! Moron! She told herself. Then she looked to see the greatest hiding spot. Though there was less food, the wolf wouldn't come looking for her. Since there was not alot food. Hopefully, the wolf wouldn't find her.
She took her machete in her hand. Knowing it would do more damage than an arrow. It would take the wolf some time to get here, but she would wait for danger to arrive.

(Sorry was eating brunch)
The wolf stood. What is happening? April put one wolf paw in front of her, gazing at it with intense gold eyes. "Danielle!" she called out, but it sounded like a howl, echoing through the forest and into her sister's ears. Great. You probably scared her. Suddenly, April realized that she had control over her body. Deciding not to try and change back, she began running, trying to catch up to her sister. I just hope she realizes it's really me!

He rubbed the spot where Danny had wrenched out the feather, hurt. He didn't want to put her on his to-kill list. He just couldn't. He watched as April morphed into a wolf. Great, just as he predicted, but everything turned out wrong. Why couldn't Danny just be out hunting? He hid his ashamed face behind his large ebony wings that gleamed as they moved. Never had he been so unsure in his whole life. The world seemed to swirl at his feet. He exhaled a shaking breath. He had made a terrible mistake. If the murderer saw them, it would kill them. He groaned. I was assigned to Danielle. I was suppose to protect her. He let out a wheezing caw, somewhat like a sob. He was going to get plucked for sure, and the world was going to end. Then he noticed what he was doing with a jolt. What are you doing, Mystery? Your no pigeon. Come on, and fix that mistake. There's still time. Another though flashed in his mind: I hope. He lifted his wings away from his face, a hardness in his eyes that he hadn't had for a long time. He was going to fix this problem, at no matter what cost. Without another thought, he launched himself off the branch and flapped after the two girls, fading into a mere shadow.
(Oh yeah, Petalpaw, your not the only one on a roll. XD)

(ha ha! Nice adjectives)
A low, moaning caw rang through the air, and April's new wolf ears picked them up clearly. Skidding to a halt, she turned her big brown head to the sky, golden eyes searching the horizon, picking out the shadows and sky as easily as she could tell the time with the sun. She depicted a black figure of a bird, so black it nearly was the shadow. Perhaps I can understand animals, seeing as I am and animal myself now? April wondered, lifting her muzzle to the sky and letting out a bark. "Hello? Raven, I know you can hear this. If you can understand is a different matter, but I wish to speak to you," She shouted with a wolf accent into the sky, "Please." The mountains bounced her voice around until it penetrated the Bird's ears.

(Thanks. They come naturally to me) (Heh. Gonna post something I wrote in the Writing club) (I didn't caw while flying. That's powerplaying. No, it's okay) He spread his wings wide, eyeing the young wolf with and intense stare. He smiled. The wolf/teenager was a bit green. Speaking can betray lots of things about you from it's tone and manner. So he stayed silent, secretive and knowing.
(Ahhhh my writing energy is fading......fading.....)

(it's not powerplaying to say you cawed. I heard your caw, which you said you did earlier, then you took off, so April saw you in the air.) (Mwa ha ha! I has energyz! -falls asleep on keyboard-)
April continued to stare at the raven ready to communicate. "I understand that you don't want to talk, but can you understand me?" She asked, hoping to express her thoughts and try to explain herself without being interrupted by an arrow.

(Okay) (XD) A warm draft pushed on his wings and he was lifted higher into the air. He raised his head and cawed a simple "yes". Of course he understood. Ravens and crows can speak the human language just as well as parrots, maybe even better. He flapped his wings faster and pointed his broad beak toward Danny, shadowed beneath the trees, running and panting. It was a simple signal: Try to catch up with your sister. I'll help you. He then dived, flying through gaps between branches, gaining speed on Danielle.

"Thank you!!" April called after him, barking in her snappy wolf voice. Her paws pounded the ground, and trees rushed passed her in a blur, but she didn't stop. Her fur streamed out behind her and whistled with the intense movement. Head lowered for speed, the brown wolf whipped through the forest, splashing through an icy river, darting across a large field, and finally stopping an hour later when she picked up the overpowering scent of.. human.

(Uh, I have no idea what's going to happen next, so I'll post this so you can get on with the story.) He stopped and tasted the air. There was an overpowering scent of human- too much for one person. A chill ran down his spine. Something was going on under him. He spread out his wings to stop advancing and dived. He had to get the Danny. Fast. (Okay, forget the earlier comment. I do know)

(XD)
Gunpowder. And a LOT of it. April skidded to a complete halt, baring her teeth and swiveling her head this way and that. Faintly, she smelled Danielle, but she was, at least she hoped, safe from these humans. Suddenly, an ear-piercing shot crashed like lightning, letting out a thunderous echo. Bullet shards wizzed past, just barely missing the brown wolf. Another shot, this time from behind. April sniffed the air again. Signaling for the Raven to come to her, for she did not yet know his name, she waited for a black shape to land beside her, or an increased weight on her spine.

A bullet went through his right wing, near the bone. He screeched in agony, scarlet splattering against the night of his plumage. Using the last of his strength, he swooped toward April, wrapping his wings around her flank, gritting his teeth(Ha ha he doesn't have teeth) to dull the pain. His breathing was ragged, his eyes were starting to glaze over. He was losing too much blood. With his last breath, he looked at the sky and thought: Tell Cody to give me one more chance. He signed. One more. With that, he fell limp, and everything became black.
(MWA HA HA gonna do a cliff-hanger here. At least two people reply before I continue)

Fear glistened in April's gold eyes, and rage soon began to cover her. Gingerly, she gripped the raven in her jaws and ran as fast as she possibly could to a nearby fallen tree. Placing his body inside, planning on retrieving it later, she turned back to the humans. She charged one, dodging a spray of the shotgun's bullets, and leaped with full force at him. He let out an agonized screech as the enraged wolf bowled him over, and blood pooled from his head where it had hit a rock. Instead of killing him, she watched as he shielded his face with his arms and peered at him through pleading eyes. She growled, pulling her paw off of him before yanking the gun away, tossing it into the trees and growling at him again. The man must have gotten the message, because he leaped to his feet and started off in the direction he had come, calling for his shocked companion. Giving chase for about a quarter mile to ensure they were driven off, April soon returned to the dead form of the Raven. Her form gave way and she slowly morphed back to a clothed human, tears welling in her eyes although she had had only ten minutes of positive time with him. Gripping the black figure in her bloody hands, she lifted him to her chest and sobbed. Gathering a plan in her mind, April decided to at least stitch up his wounds. Clutching the shotgun for good measure, she found a few strips of bark and quickly fashioned a makeshift bag in which she placed the deceased bird. April had pasted on some mashed leaves and grass to stop the blood flow and keep the wounds from infection.
(NOOOO! At least do what I was doing; talking to dead people )
