I went along the river. It was fast-flowing, although I was too young to know it would flood its banks now that the spring had come. The spring, though thankfully warmer than leaf-bare, brought heavy storms that drove many Deathclanners back to their solitary dens.
I pricked my ears, getting bored and instead becoming alert for the hunt. I strained my senses, but nothing gave itself away through scents. I scouted through the scanty undergrowth away from the river, and I finally picked something up after long minutes of fruitless searching. I stalked the prey, and the leaves twitched aside to reveal a small mouse. I moved slowly, but I was still an amateur, and the small animal heard me before I could strike. I leaped after it as it scurried away, but it had fled to the safety of its hole. "Curses." I hissed to myself, withdrawing my paw from the tiny hole. Then I could hear rustling. I turned around and looked, thinking that I might not have been the only one to spot it.

Galaxy had been stalking the same mouse, unaware that there was another person close to him. When a(Just going to make up what made the noise.) twig snapped, the mouse flung itself into its burrow. Galaxy hissed as he watched it's thin tail disappear into its depths. He stood up, muttering "I could have caught it!" and glaring at whatever disturbed it.

I heard a mutter, but I couldn't tell who it was or what they were saying by their voice alone. Although, I knew one thing; I was stalking the same prey, and they would most likely not be pleased. I quickly looked through the thin bushes, but saw an unfamiliar face. A gray cat... I did not know anyone who looked like this. Working up my courage, I spoke out to him. "It appears we were hunting the same prey." I was cautious, but not cautious enough to stay silent. (Lazy post, I'm tired after doing trigonometry packets )

(XD let me write you a homework pass....hmmm...it says you'll get detention all week ) Galaxy narrowed his icy blue eyes at the youngling whose pelt looked like the shadows. "Ah." he meowed, "I see." Galaxy stood up, smoothing his fur down flat. It was always better for someone to underestimate you then overestimate you. It's more fun, like a game of cat and mouse, only with the mouse thinking its the cat and the cat's the mouse. "So," he continued, "youngling, what's your name" (I have little homework, but my dad just gave me more. Nooooooo)

(Fuuuuu detention xD)
I narrowed my eyes when he called me "youngling". It made him a bit of a hypocrite, since he didn't look like he was past youngling age himself. But I kept my trap shut about that part. "My name is Ashes." I said curtly. "Although I don't believe I know your name either." I was mistrustful, and even apprehensive, because I couldn't tell what strength this cat had merely from size or age. So I kept my fur flat, and kept my face in what I hoped was a calm expression.

Galaxy sat down. He wasn't deterred by the cat's attitude toward him. He saw that all the time. After all, it's better to be safe then sorry when your in Deathclan, where the unexpected might just happen. "Galaxy." He replies simply. They were from the same clan, so there wasn't any need to keep it a secret. (Liked my poll? XD) (You'd better check the main clearing. There's something going on.)
