| Badger, Vale, Thicket, Galaxy |
It had been a day since the invasion of RockClan. Drought had obtained several wounds; some of his cuts were still bleeding by the time he'd arrived back at his den. He'd patched himself up, despite his lack of knowledge on the topic of healing. Unlike Cloverstar, he didn't have the luxury of multiple lives, and dying was not an appealing thought.
No, I've just gotten started. I can't allow myself to end up dead after my first battle as a leader. There are still many things that I have to do.
It was around noon, and the spotted tom had been hanging around his tree for the majority of the morning. He hadn't sent for his Elites, but he expected that they would arrive in search of his guidance. After all, they'd just conquered a Clan. The future was full of opportunities, and Drought knew precisely what he wanted to do.

Galaxy had just caught a mouse at the far edge of the woods and was dangling it from its tail. The mouse squeaked in terror and flailed its minute paws in the air, letting out little squeaks of fright. Grinning, Galaxy swung the mouse around, forcing more squeaks out of the pathetic creature. He was heading to his den on the other side of the forest, past the Leader's tree. Suddenly he stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes focusing on the black and white tom in front of him. Drought. Dropping the mouse, he pinned it down with one silver ticked paw, and lunged for the neck. The rodent's squeaks of terror were cut short as his teeth buried themselves into its soft flesh. It sagged and went limp, its once shiny eyes dull. He padded toward the leader, dipping his head toward Drought. "Just passing through." he meowed, "I will be on my way now."

Congratulations on the victory against the Rockclanners. I knew they would not be a challenge. I hope we attack again. He was eager for action against the clans. He needed to feel the thrill of battle once more and the warm, stickiness of blood on his claws. No he was not an evil cat, one who just wanted a piece of the action. He looked over his leader and took note of his various wounds. I am going to assume you took on the leaders. How was this replacement of Hawkstar? he asked.
He merely wanted to talk to Drought. Maybe there was more to come after all. Perhaps more victory and more valor to be gained. If only he had an idea of what was next.

He had given his leader a full day to rest, recuperate, and sort out the next bit of business for Deathclan. The victory at Rockclan had his mood even higher than when he had learned of their new leader, and he pranced up to Drought's tree, circling around the three other toms that had already gathered as he thought about the battle from the day before.
"Well, good day to you all!" He purred, stopping directly in front of Drought. "And how is our little Leader Killer doing today, mm? Didja get some rest for phase two of the plan?" He asked, tone coming out sarcastic, even though he truly meant what he was asking. Drought was about as close to a friend as someone could get to Badger, and sometimes, like yesterday during the battle, Badger even felt a little worry for the tom's health, both physically and mentally.
Before giving Drought time to respond, however, he turned to the two younger toms, eyeing Galaxy up and down very briefly. "Shame you two missed it yesterday. I do hope you'll both play bigger roles in the future. I can't wait to see how our group of Elites acts together in a battle." He cooed, now a bit more serious than he had been when he waltzed in.

Galaxy padded back into the circle of cats as he realized there was some sort of meeting. He sat down on the grass, curling his tail over his paws. Galaxy looked around and realized Badger was staring at him. He leaned toward the grey tabby, locking his own gaze his the tom's. "Just because you joined the first battle doesn't mean your in the next one." he meowed matter-of-factly, "Just because your old then us doesn't mean you can predict the future. Just wait and see. I'll join the battle sooner or later."

Drought watched as three of his Elites gathered around his tree. He'd been expecting Vale to show up as well, but apparently the Russian Blue was busy somewhere else. I hope he'll turn up later. It would be good to have him at this meeting.
He twitched his torn ears when Thicket spoke. "We shall, indeed, attack again," the leader meowed. "But our next target won't be RockClan. No, I've got them under my control for the time being. I could return to finish off Cloverstar... however, this isn't the time for more killings." He flexed his claws, not enjoying the feel of the dried blood which was still between his toes.
The black-and-white tom purred quietly as Badger pranced over. "Phase two... yes. It's nearly time for that to begin," he murmured. Raising his voice slightly, Drought now addressed all three of the cats. "So, do any of you want to try to figure out what our next move will be? Go on, guess." He grinned wickedly at them. With RockClan weakened and a kit being held prisoner, there were so many things to do.

Badger's lips curled into a snarl as Galaxy spoke at him, and he was about to correct the ignorant pest when Drought stepped in to talk about the future of their plans. Giving Galaxy one final glare, for the time being, he smiled back at Drought, twitching his ears as a sign he had heard the tom speak. When he admitted that it was nearly time to begin the plan, something he had pretty much already known, he grinned even more.
But now it was time for a quick guessing game, and he got to his paws as he eagerly pushed to pitch in not his guess, but his own personal desire. "Are we to burn Treeclan down, and then eat the Rockclanners on their burnt camp?" Throughout his life there had been two major targets for Deathclan to fight with; Rockclan and Treeclan. He wasn't sure why cats like Fuzzy or Scarlet had never attacked Iceclan or Fireclan that often. He had raided Iceclan as a kit, and he was aware of the fact that Drought had taken a raiding patrol to Fireclan only a few moons or so prior. But for some reason, Badger despised Treeclan. Too many bad cats there, and too many bad memories had been Badger's best guess. Then again, he had led a Treeclan she-cat to run off with him during his youth, so perhaps that's when it started.
If only the other cats in the group could understand his unknowable hatred for Treeclan. Then they might actually agree to burn their entire forest down. But Badger highly doubted that'd happen.

(You beat me to it. Nooo) Galaxy glances down at Drought's claws, crusted with dried blood from the previous battle. "You should wash them in the river." he suggested, "the cold water will wash the blood off, plus it will soothe sore pads. Believe me, I've tried it, and it seemed like a miracle." He got up and started to pace, agitated. "I agree with Badger. Treeclan seems like a worthy target. And my opinion is that we attack Fireclan after, with those vain and stuck-up excuses for cats. Get rid of their pride." He paused and looked at Drought for his approval.

I think Fireclan could be taken down far easier. Treeclan's own strength is in numbers. However if Rockclan was to forced to aid us, since we have their precious kitten, he could easily take on Treeclan. If only there was more they could do. He was not at all questioningt the strength of Deathclan, but taking down the weaker clans would be a far smarter move. If the weaker clans plus the brute strength of Deathclan joined forces, they would be unstoppable.
Drought, now that Treeclan is in the possession of Deathclan, how will we administer that area?

"I'd assume we could obviously play on the whole RockClan kit premise. Are we playing threats with RockClan into stage two? I'm estimating we are going to involve them somehow. With this kit opportunities have been delivered at our paws." He nodded with a grin. "Hmm.. If I had to take a wild guess are we going to aim for another Clan perhaps? Are we going to use this new little kitten source to our benefit as well?" He sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws. The russian blue glanced at his fellow Elites, and his leader.
"Alright enough guesses from me, what do you have planned, leader?" It had been the first time he'd ever called Drought that word, and it made him feel happy somehow. "I'm interested to see what you have planned. I'm sure we all are." He flicked his tail.
"What are we to do next?"

Drought was pleased that his Elites weren't idiots. He twitched his whiskers faintly in response to Badger. "I heard that TreeClan had a big fire several moons ago. They're probably terrified of flames... so if you know of a way to burn down their forest, go ahead and tell me." As much as the leader would love to simply torch the enemy's territory, he wasn't sure how to go about doing such a thing.
Shrugging it off, he returned his attention to the rest of the group. Galaxy was attempting to offer remedies for his paws. "Did I ask for your advice, youngling?" Drought half-hissed, his eyes narrowing. His tone left no doubt that he was warning Galaxy. I'm starting to have my regrets about naming this young fool as an Elite. He had better prove himself soon.
The black-and-white cat twitched his tail-tip as a signal for the other cats to stop musing over what would happen next. "Yes, indeed, we will be attacking another Clan... and this time, we'll be targeting those pathetic tree-dwellers. The RockClan kit is to be used as leverage to make demands. For now, we're just 'borrowing' some free labor from the RockClanners. Why waste our own time and energy fighting when we can use the conquered as pawns? Eventually, I'll be sending one of you to oversee RockClan." He took a breath as he let these words sink in.
"I expect to see some of you during the battle against TreeClan. We'll attack soon. For now, you may part ways and hone your battle skills." It was more of a command than a suggestion. Drought wanted his cats to be sharp for the next fight. He cast his gaze over the four, waiting for any last comments or questions.

Galaxy didn't feel deterred by Drought's biting comment. He knew exactly what he was signing up for when he was chosen Elite. He silently scolded himself for not choosing the right words. Fire? How in the world were they supposed to make fire? Twolegs did it, but they were the crazy twolegs they always were, playing with fire. Galaxy made no sound about that. He had already endangered himself enough. He had a feeling that this meeting was coming toward an end. Galaxy looked at the other for their reactions.
