[hello, and welcome to deathclan, you clanners. in this thread, you will be taking your kits back. every clan but fireclan has a representative. because of that, two treeclan cats are coming to take one kit back to treeclan and fireclan. the cats participating in this thread are Spidermask, Whitehawk, Nettleflight, and Reedtail. Spidermask will get Dogpaw, Nettleflight will get Swiftstep and @breezemeow for fireclan, and Reedtail will get Splashpaw. after you find and get your kit, you will run away. @drought will enter after you all receive the kits and disappear. keep a posting order and let's not take forever with this thread. i'd like for the older cats (warriors) to post before the hostages. thank you. <3]Lyric was waiting near the border that all the clans shared with DeathClan, or near DeathClan, at least. The gray and white she-cat paced down the scented line, her tail flicking anxiously. She hoped that before the cats that were representing the clans would leave as soon as they get their kit and that she wouldn't be caught by any cat of her clan. The female paused, hearing paw steps. She noticed four cats, and she nodded to them. "You are the representatives, yes? Follow me."

[Okey-Dokey]
Reedtail had slipped around through Iceclan territory. Dustpetal had sent him to pick up Splashkit, the hostage Deathclan took.
His audits twitching as he made it to the border shared with Deathclan and Iceclan. He found three other cats there. Retrieving there kit's to. He thought. He gave them a nod, and looked at Lyric. Flicking his tail as an answer he followed her.

Spiderleaf was sure Cloverstar wasn't particularly thrilled with the idea of a queen going into hostile territory, but she was more than determined to reclaim Dogkit. The black and white queen arrived at the meeting place at the same time as Reedtail and the others. Their choreography was impressive, but not important. Looking around, she didn't catch a scent of Fireclan, and yet there were four cats. It was unusual, but two Treeclan cats were present. "I'm here for Rockclan, let's get this over with."

Whitehawk didn't say a single word as he waited with the group. He was happy that his meeting with Lyric hadn't been the start of a trap, and he felt comfortable knowing he'd have three other warriors with him if this went downhill. Oddly enough he didn't see anyone from Fireclan. Pft, just like 'em too, not to get a kit back from a certain Hell. Whatever, surely someone would get their precious kitten back for 'em. Perhaps he'd have Nettleflight do it so they'd be in Treeclan's debt. As if Darkstar would care about debt, though.

Nettleflight stalked behind her deputy as they left the TreeClan camp, keeping herself as quiet as she could at a time like this. She didn't trust the DeathClanner who had leaked them the information, as it was very possible that this was just a trap. However, if that was the case, surely four well trained warriors would be more than sufficient to at least fight to escape.
Catching sight of the feline, she slowed, hackles slightly raised. She observed the two from the other clans; a warrior from IceClan and a queen from RockClan. A snort escaped her. "You had better not be fooling us," she warned, taking a step forward, ready to follow the cat wherever she went.

[okay, now i will lead the warriors to the kits. after i post, let the kits post. if a kit doesn't post within the next 24 hours, the kit will be skipped and have to catch up. i'll tag the kits again: Dogpaw, Swiftstep, @breezemeow, Splashpaw]Lyric sighed at the TreeClan warrior's comment. "I am not tricking you. We have to be quick." The gray and white she-cat trotted toward the sand pits, where she had been taking care of the clan kits. Once she reached the sandy ground, she crouched down, moving the objects she had covered the hole with the protect the kits. She counted them to make sure they were all there. "Here. All four are here. I don't smell a FireClan cat, so if one of you would be kind enough to take him back, I would be grateful." she replied, climbing into the hole. "Wake up. Your clan mates are here to take you back." she whispered, picking up Dogkit first. Lyric gave the tom to Spiderleaf, matching the scents. Then, she picked up Skykit, giving him to Nettleflight. Next, she grabbed Breezekit, handing him over to Whitehawk's paws, assuming he was going to take him back. Lastly, she got Splashkit, giving the kit to Reedtail. "You must run." Lyric warned, looking behind her.

"Wake up. Your clanmates are here to take you back." After a few confused mumbles and a small grunt, Breezekit opened his eyes slowly, the words Lyric had said still not processing into his mind. After a few more tired moans and more rolling around, Breezekit blinked as different scents wafted into his nose. Adult cat scents. What did Lyric say again? Clanmates are here to take us back? The little tom perked up almost immediately. They're here to take us back!
One by one, Breezekit watched as Lyric took the other kits and gave them to the cats that had came. When it was his turn, the black and white tom got ready to be handed off to a familiar FireClan cat. But, the scent of the cat was definitely not the normal FireClan smell. Sitting by Whitehawk's paws, Breezekit did nothing but look up at the deputy with a confused face. Who is this? But, he said nothing. I guess there's no time to talk or ask a question. The sooner we leave, the better.

hideaway with me some more. Voices pricked the insides of my ears, smells flooded the insides of my nose as my mine fluttered awake. I kept my eyes shut tight and body curled up into its safe little ball of orange and white fur. I felt the soft graze of a fur being moved, Lyrics words pumping into my head. I didn't want to believe it, it was a trap to get me to look up and see some sort of creature bend down a eat me up like a mouse. My clan had given up on me, a good decision on their half. I felt teeth nip into my scruff. My eyes flew open and I was able to see the impressive line up of cats.
Strange scents paired up with each cat, two familiar ones matching to a deputy and a warrior of my clan. I was handed to the warrior and I blinked up, amber eyes scrutinizing this plan. Was she really a warrior? She sure smelled like one, a nice scent of sap and moist tree bark. I wiggled around, trying to get comfortable. "Is this real?" I whispered. I looked over to the other hostages, cats who I had grown to like more than I dislikes. A small smile grew on my face and I shrugged. "Tough for me to say this, but I think I'll miss you all." |

Splashkit's eyes were shut tight, her small body curled up around her. The young kit flicked her tail and heard Lyric's voice. And... Skykit? Opening her eyes, she staggered up to her paws and looked with amazement at Skykit. Did he really just say that? She thought. When she felt a nip at her scruff, she calmly dropped back down to the floor at the IceClan warrior's paws. Looking up, she blinked. "Thank you, Lyric. And thank you." She turned around to Lyric and the warrior as she said this.

Lace up your shoes Here's how we do Run baby run Don't ever look back They'll tear us apart if you give them the chance Don't sell your heart, don't say we're not meant to be Run baby run, forever we'll be You and me | Dogkit was up as soon as different voices and different scents swarmed his senses. His hackles started to raise, muscles already tight with tension. The eldest of the hostages moved closer to the other three in hopes of being able to protect them if the unfamiliar scents proved to be danger. Keen blue-green eyes narrowed into suspicious slits, and his ears flew back.
But at the sight of a group of cats following close behind Lyric, Dogkit felt a sense of familiarity among them. They didn't smell like DeathClan rouges, and they appeared to be here for them. His assumption was confirmed when Lyric informed them that they were indeed from their homes on a mission to take them back.
Dogkit couldn't help but tense up again as Lyric hauled him out of the sandpit, the sensation reminding him greatly of Drought's firm grip. He forced himself to ease up when he was safely in the paws of Spiderleaf. The scent of milk and RockClan brought relief upon the tuxedo, but from moons of being held prisoner in DeathClan's paws had made him stay a paw's reach away from the queen. Whilst the other hostages were handed back to their clan-mates, Dogkit nodded his head in farewell. Skykit's words of missing the other three made Dogkit's lips turn up slightly. Indeed their time together had brought them closer than he thought, and he would surely miss seeing their faces.
He turned to Spiderleaf for a moment then back to Lyric. A solemn but thankful expression settled itself on his sharp features. "Thank you," Dogkit said. It was the only other time he had talked to the she-cat other than the day he was seized, and they held meaning as it was delivered to her. |

Whitehawk watched as one by one kits were given to their correct clan-mates. Except the third one, the Fireclan kit, was given to him. He sighed, conflicted. He could take the kit back himself, and just get out of Deathclan. Or...He grabbed the kit by his scruff and placed him at Nettleflight's paws. "Take both of these kits back to Treeclan. Give the Fireclan kit to one of the Queens. We'll take 'em back to Fireclan tomorrow, once the chaos is settled." He ordered, turning back to Lyric.
After all of this, Whitehawk finally began to understand Lyric's risk for all of this, and by the thanks she was getting from the kits, it became obvious she had truly taken care of them. "Thank you, for all you've done for our children...But I have to ask you one last favor...Where is your Leader?"

Reedtail looked around at each cat as they received their kit. Not being around cats outside his clan, he wanted to get the kit and go. They could be playing a trick.
The warrior looked at Lyric and meowed a thanks before getting Splashkit. "Thank you. Thank you for caring for our kits." He gave a nod to the cat, and looked at Splashkit. "No Problem." He purred. He gently picked up Splashkit by her scruff, flicking his tail as one last goodbye to everyone, before disappearing into their own territory.

Nettleflight nodded as she grabbed the TreeClan kit from Lyric, keeping her teeth locked onto it's scruff. As she turned to leave, though, she was addressed by Whitehawk, and there was a kit sitting by her paws. She was to take the FireClan kit back to TreeClan. That was something she could deal with, though she wondered why Whitehawk wasn't leaving with her.
She set Skykit down next to Breezekit, gazing at him for a moment. "Don't get yourself killed, Whitehawk. If you aren't back by sun high, I'm coming back to get your sorry tail," she said, a smirk plastered on her face. She turned to the kits at her paws, and picked them each up by their scruff at once.
"You're getting big, Skykit," she meowed, though her voice was very muffled. Turning to see the IceClanner leave, the tabby took that as a sign for herself. Lashing her tail, she left the DeathClan territory, disappearing into the thick brush and trees.

Spiderleaf glanced from Dogkit, to the other kits who all appeared safe and relatively unharmed. Relief thrummed through her much like her blood did, and the queen similarly turned a grateful gaze upon the Rockclan she-cat. There was great risk in this, and while it remained unspoken, Spiderleaf doubted she was the only one considering the consequences of Lyric's actions. But that wasn't why she was here; it was Spiderleaf's nature to be concerned, but not when her orders trumped her heart.
Stooping to Dogkit, she noticed briefly how the tom seemed to be keeping an almost instinctive distance away from her. Normally she might have been a bit offended, but since the kit had spent far too long in Deathclan for her liking, and she wasn't even his mother to boot, it was obvious enough why he wouldn't be comfortable around her. Not that it mattered of course, she needed to get him home, whether the tom was comfortable with his carrier or not was a currently low concern in the grand scheme of things. "Let's get you home, child." Picking up Dogkit in her jaws, she lifted her head and watched the other three depart, Whitehawk going in the wrong direction. Again, not her place. Shrugging, she turned and began to pad away in Rockclan's direction, disappearing from the site of the hole as quickly as she had wished.

I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S WORTH IT ANYMORE STARLIGHT -- MUSE NOTES: Insert drama WORD COUNT: 307 ❥ BRUISED AND BLOODY from the fight against the rats, Drought wasn't going to be able to rest just yet. He had run straight for the sandpit after making sure that his cats weren't in any immediate danger. The leader knew that the rodents would probably have made a meal out of the hostages if they'd found them... and he hadn't seen Lyric at the fight, so perhaps she had been fighting to protect the stolen kittens?
As soon as the first traces of Clan scent reached his nose, the tom's lips immediately curled back into a snarl. How had they known that DeathClan was busy fighting against the invading beasts from Twolegplace? It was impossible. Surely he would see Lyric just ahead, clawing at those fools in order to keep them from taking back their young...
The leader brushed swiftly past some ferns and came to a dead halt. He could see a Clanner disappearing into the bushes with a kit in her jaws. And there was Lyric, not putting up any resistance as she spoke with the TreeClan deputy.
"Traitor!" Drought roared. In the blink of an eye, he had leaped over to the DeathClan female and sent a powerful blow towards the side of her head, hoping to stun her for long enough to deal with Whitehawk. Indeed, the Clanner was rather familiar; the black-and-white tom remembered defeating this cat during the invasion of TreeClan.
In a blur of motion, the enraged feline had slashed at the deputy's shoulder in the hopes of doing some serious damage. A temporarily-crippled opponent made for easy prey. "Run on back to Clan before I kill you," Drought spat. As if to make it perfectly clear that he was not bluffing, he sent another fast swipe towards Whitehawk's neck. I'll deal with this pest, then I'll make Lyric pay.
