Freezekit paced back and forth restlessly. She was 6 moons old now, but still hadn't received her ceremony, so she decided to take this opportunity to say goodbye to her denmates. "Snowflare? Anyone?" She mewed, looking around for her mother and friends so she could say goodbye |

Heatherkit, who didn't know Freezekit but had overheard her calls, came padding up to her. "Hi." Heatherkit said. "I'm six moons old as well." She looked at Freezekit. "Any preferred warrior name, for the future?" She asked, to start a conversation. "I'd LOVE to be called Heatherfrost."

Freezekit purred "I want to be Freezeflame!" she growled playfully, then looked around wistfully "You know, I'm gonna miss it here..."

Heatherkit laughed. "it sounds nice." Then she looked to a distant shadow. "Oh, no..." The fur on her back prickled.

Freezekit chuckled and walked over to the shadows. She dragged out a very large moss ball "I believe this is your monster?" she mewed

Heatherkit chuckled nervously. "Ah..." She said. "So it is." She grabbed the moss ball and looked at it. "I was sure it was moving!" She said. then "AAARGH!" She screamed as a mouse ran out. "I knew it was moving..." She said, embarrassed at being scared of a mouse. How would she ever be an apprentice?

Freezekit remembered her brief training with Lionpaw, then pounced on the mouse, killing it with one swift bite "..I did it....I DID IT! My first prey!" She squealed

Heatherkit chuckled in approval. "Well done, Freezekit!" She said. "I could never do that!" She looked at the mouse in Freezekit's paws, madly jealous that her new friend could catch live prey.
