@drought
It was sunhigh. Disturbed had been getting thirsty, so he decided to visit the stream. He started to walk there. Disturbed didn't encounter any other cats, which he considered good. Disturbed made it to the river and took a good drink. He looked around, checking for other cats. He saw possibly one cat, but didn't know if he should consider the cat a threat or not.
(Lazy.)

Drought didn't exactly love spending time by the river for several reasons, the primary one being that he couldn't fish. However, it was important to visit occasionally and make sure that it wasn't flooding. With much of DeathClan's land being flat, high water had the potential to be very dangerous.
As the patched tom arrived that day, he was relieved to see that the river wasn't too high. The only unusual thing in sight was an unfamiliar tortoiseshell male on the opposite bank. Another youngling? It seems like most of my Clan is made of younglings these days...
The leader stepped up to the edge of his side of the river and spoke. "Hello. You look like you're new around here."

Who is this?, he thought. The tom then greeted him. "Yep. May I ask who you are? I'm Disturbed.", he said.
I guess I'll figure out soon., he thought to himself. Disturbed wasn't looking for a fight and he hoped the other cat wasn't looking for one either.

Despite the large number of younglings who recognized Drought when first meeting him, it seemed that there would always be a few who were unfamiliar with the DeathClan leader. "Drought," he stated simply. Hopefully that would ring a bell for this peasant. If not... well, it would be quite the amusing situation for him.
The black-and-white feline padded closer to the riverbank and then leaped into the current; it only took him a few heartbeats to reach the side where Disturbed stood and shake out his wet pelt.

I'll remember that name., he thought. Wait, isn't Drought the leader? Disturbed watched Drought as he swam to his side of the river. "You're the leader, aren't you?", Disturbed asked.
(Ugh. Sad muse amount.)

Drought sat down a few tail-lengths away from Disturbed and raised a paw to groom it, keeping the youngling in sight. "Indeed," he rumbled when the tortoiseshell guessed his rank correctly. "I'm guessing you came from somewhere other than rogue territory? I seem to be fairly infamous there." It was possible that this cat was a former loner or kittypet. Drought didn't care as long as Disturbed could fight as well as any other DeathClanner and was loyal to him.

Disturbed shook his head. He had born a rouge and when he had gotten old enough, he had made the journey to DeathClan. It had been an accident actually, but he was glad he had found it now. But I'm sure Drought would get bored with my kithood, Disturbed thought. "You like being leader?", Disturbed asked.

Drought raised a cat-brow at this. Huh, a rogue who'd never heard of him? That was a new one. Maybe Disturbed had just lived under a rock for the first part of his life or something.
"I wouldn't say it's a matter of liking the job. Someone needed to step up and bring DeathClan back to its former glory. This place was empty at the end of Fallacy's reign - but I suppose you wouldn't know about that."

He nodded his head to show he understood. So there was a leader named Fallacy? okay., he thought. Disturbed looked at his leader. He looked down at his paws for moment. For the first time, he didn't have much on his mind. At least nothing the leader would be interested in. He then thought of something. "Has the season been treating you well?", he asked.

The scarred American Shorthair did wish there was a way to share DeathClan's history that didn't involve a lengthy lecture. He doubted that half of the cats under his rule even knew the name of Anarchy, let alone Viper. Drought himself longed to know who had come before Viper, if anyone - but that knowledge seemed to be gone forever. It was rather disappointing.
"Leaf-fall isn't the worst season. It's leaf-bare that you have to watch out for. I trust that you're taking advantage of these moons to practice hunting? You'll need all your skills once the first snows come and prey is scarce."

"I have been. I hope it will be short, but you always have to assume the worst.", Disturbed replied, thinking about the cold times to come.
The thought as the freezing weather worried him a bit. I'll be fine., he thought to himself.

Drought shrugged slightly and returned to grooming his pelt, which was still wet from the river. It wasn't really any of his business whether this youngling would survive the cold season. There would probably be enough prey for everyone to survive off, but the difficulty was in scaring mice and other prey out of their burrows.
"I should hope so. Leaf-bare is the best season for raids - the Clans are always at their weakest, and destroying herb supplies can really do a number on them. That's why I need all of my cats to be strong and battle-ready."
