Once upon a time there had been trainees in Deathclan. Badger had actually trained one or two cats, very briefly. He had also taught one tom how to use herbs when he was young. Fallacy had removed those spots, though. And then Drought banned kits from even joining Deathclan.
In short, Badger hadn't taught anyone in a while. But now he was doing it again, for whatever was motivating him to do so. A little tom named Sleet, who was probably eight moons or something like that. Badger padded out of his den, which was a small shady area under a rocky overhang that he had littered with moss. It was open to the world, which was nice, but still protected him from the rain and heat.
"Sleet, come on, I will not wait forever." He said as he padded into the center of the quarry. In truth he had no idea what he was gonna teach this cat, but he'd definitely like to start sooner than later.

Sleet heard Badger calling for him. The pale tom maintained a bored looking face, padding over to the leader of the group. "I was coming." he said back in a monotone voice, his multi-colored gaze half closed. The tom gave a sigh, turning his head to lick down a piece of fur sticking up on his shoulder.
"What are we doing, anyway?"

Badger ignored the cat's tone and moved on. "That all depends on what rank you want to fill later in life. I can teach you how to stalk and track if you want to be a Ranger, or I could teach you how to fight and play defense if you want to be a Blackguard. Also, if you want to become a Medic, I know a good bit about herbs." He said, giving a little shrug.
"So, you tell me. Sneaking around and learning how to be a good spy, or learn how to be an absolute brute out in battle?" He asked, matching the tom's monotone voice.

Sleet took a moment to consider his options. Be sneaky and spy or be a complete brainless brute. Well, I'm certainly smarter than the other cats around here. Perhaps I should take a medical path. No, what if we get whiny cats? Spy it is. The pale tom looked back at the older cat. "I will be a Ranger. It sounds appealing." he replied, tilting his head.

Badger nodded. "Ranger it is, then. First thing's first, stalking. We'll use prey as our..well, as our prey." He said, walking off towards the grassier parts of the quarry. The quarry itself had little prey, but he could still teach Sleetpaw how hunting different types of prey could be turned into sneaking strategies.
He stopped and turned to face Sleet again, smiling. "Pretend I'm a rabbit. Hunt me." He said, before pretending to start eating little things of grass.

Sleet was surprised at Badger telling him to hunt him. I'm not really good at hunting. I hardly know a thing. He kept his mouth shut, crouching down. He stalked forward quietly before trying to jump at the tom.
