--For Jaypaw-- Minnowkit padded restlessly out front of the nursery, her thoughts lingering on her upcoming apprentice ceremony. I wonder what's it's like to be an apprentice, she thought, her pale yellow gaze trailing slowly to the apprentices den. She surly wouldn't miss having to nest with a while bunch of filthy little kits, and was looking forward to a nice orderly nest in her new den. Spotting a black-and-white she-cat emerge from the den, Minnow tried to think of a way to approach her without seeming too... her. She wanted to be prepared for her apprenticeship, and what better way to do that then ask an actual apprentice. Deciding that there was no point on putting on a facade, the dark silver tabby simply approached the she-cat. "Hey, you," she mewed, addressing the apprentice curtly, a lingering tone of curiosity lacing her voice, "what's it like being an apprentice?"

,, love; it's just a word; until someone comes along and gives it meaning ,, the fluffy tuxedo apprentice, jaypaw, emerged from the apprentices den. she annoyedly twitched her ears, not spotting her mentor anywhere. someday fei'lan. she thought.
the young she-cat had raised her paw to lick in, and it stopped in mid-lick when she heard another cat call her. heh, suprise. yet i though i was those weird loners.
jaypaw raised her head, and tried to look casual as she looked around. then she spotted yellow eyes staring at her. oh. "how is it like being an apprentice?" she said, basically repeating what the other cat, a kit, said. "well, you do miss the nursery for a while." she admitted. "you will miss the smell of the queens milk and your mothers scent, but you will get used to it" not knowing if the kit even cared, she continued. "you start training the first full day after getting apprenticed, usually your mentor starts you off with a tour, or thats what i heard." then she paused, realizing this was going to take forever. "um, way different from being a kit, i assure you. more priveleges, more consequences."

"I don't think I could ever miss the nursery-- all the whiny little kits in their are so immature," Minnowkit stated in a matter-o-fact tone, thinking over what the other she-cat had said. "Wait... 'Thats what I heard?', you said that didn't you?" the silver tabby repeated thoughtfully, tipping her head inquisitively to the side as she fixed her gaze on the unnamed she-cat, "so that means this you don't really know, I assume?" Ugg, so I went and asked an apprentice who hasn't even started her training, the pushy kit scolded herself in her head, good going Minnow, real helpful. But she figured as along as she was here she might as well have a conversation with the black-and-white cat-- that paired with the fact that it would seem pretty strange of her to just walk away.
