HollypawFawnspring had woken at dawn. She had yawned, and stretched, then ate a squirel, so that by the time she was done, it was sunrise, and Fawnspring was padding towards the apprentices' den with a shrew for her apprentice, Hollypaw, as golden sunlight suddenly lit the camp. She silently entered the den, and sliped through it untill she found Hollypaw, curled up in her new nest. The lithe she-cat dropped the shrew in front of the black apprentice's nest. "Time to wake up," she said. "Got a shrew for you."

girls oh girls WAG YOUR TAILS TO THE BEAT A chilly breeze enveloped the young she-cat as she weaved between the trees, the moon being the only source of light in the starless sky. Ahead of Hollypaw raced a pure white rabbit, it's feet becoming blurry because of how fast it was running, trying to escape it's hunter. Hollypaw herself felt she was running so fast that she was practically flying, she felt as if her paws were barley making contact with the ground below. "You can't run forever," she purred challengingly at the rabbit, feeling a burst of energy coarse through her. She was beginning to catch up to the creature when a voice awoke her.
"Time to wake up," a familiar voice rang, and Holly stopped her chase, confused as the dream around her began to melt into darkness which was replaced by reality, "got a shrew for you." It took a moment for the she-cat to adjust to the sudden weight the world around her gained, but once she did she was glad to be met with the scent of prey. "Thank you," Hollypaw murmured softly, her voice wispy from sleep. She gave Fawnspring a sleepy, yet appreciative glance before getting onto her paws and giving a short stretch. I wonder if I'll get a chance to groom myself before we start training? the she-cat thought, knowing there must be at least a few rumples in her pelt. She always liked to look presentable, whatever the occasion was. The apprentice picked up the shrew her mentor had brought her, quirking a questioning ear towards the entrance of the den, silently asking if she should go outside to eat.

Fawnspring nodded, then looked at the golden sunlight waiting to submerge the apprentices' den.
(Short because I can't think of anything else to type, and because I'm busy.)

girls oh girls WAG YOUR TAILS TO THE BEAT It's fine :3 I don't really have anything going on this week, which is why my replies are currently pretty long
Hollypaw twitched her ear in recognition to her mentor's nod, tightening her grip on the prey hanging her jaws before trotting swiftly out of the nursery, careful to keep her paws from treading on any of the sleeping apprentices. I wonder what we'll be doing first? the black apprentice thought as she finally reached the entrance of the den, her eyes blinking a bit as they got used to the change of light. She took a seat next to the entrance of the den as she waited for her mentor to exit, wrapping her long tail around her paws and set her shrew down as she began to eat. She had the pleasure once of tasting a minnow one of the apprentices had managed to fish out of a stream once, and Hollypaw had to admit that she rather enjoyed the scaly meal. Too bad TreeClanners don't fish, she thought, swallowing a piece of shrew. Although, I'm not to keen on getting my paws wet.

Fawnspring padded out from behind Hollypaw, and waited for Hollypaw to finish her meal.

girls oh girls WAG YOUR TAILS TO THE BEAT <3 Hollypaw's ear twitched at she heard her mentor exit the den, her tail tip twitching in acknowledgment while she focused on her prey. The she-cat was used to laying leisurely in her nest while she ate her meals, watching the other kittens run around and play. She herself wasn't very fond of games, they seemed a little to foolish for her to partake in, and it was much more amusing too watch other cats make fools of themselves than to join in herself.
Licking her lips as her shrew was successfully devoured, the young apprentice took to giving her pelt a quick brushing over. "So," she took a break from her grooming to give Fawnspring a questioning glance, " what's today's plan?"

Fawnspring smiled. "We're doing a territory tour. Tomorow you'll get to choose what we do. But it's no use doing anything if we just get lost!"

girls oh girls WAG YOUR TAILS TO THE BEAT Hollypaw nodded, signaling she had heard what her mentor had said. A smile flickered across her features for a moment, Fawnspring's cheerfulness was a nice change to her usual thoughts, which spoke passive tones inside her head. Mainly just observations of the world around her, which, while it did make her more alert, weren't very interesting to listen to.
The apprentice only spent a few more heartbeats making sure her ebony pelt was acceptably neat before she looked back at her mentor and gestured towards the camp entrance with her tail. "Well then," she got to her paws and tipped her head to the side, "shall we go?"

"Yep," Fawnspring told Hollypaw, and padded out from camp into the lush forest, signaling for Hollypaw to follow. She paused a few fox-lengths ino the trees. "First, we'll go to the stream, then, we'll go to the... abandoned camp, and after that, the borders, then the north, east, sout, and west parts of our territory. Do you know what happened to the abandoned camp?" Fawnspring tested.

girls oh girls WAG YOUR TAILS TO THE BEAT Hollypaw trotted after her mentor in a both eager, yet composed manner. She drank in the sight of the forest with attentive eyes, admiring the beauty of the soothing colors as she listened to her mentor speak.
"I've heard rumors, but I'm not quiet sure which ones are true and which are false," the apprentice answered Fawnspring after a moment of thinking. Hollypaw herself was never fond of listening to other's tell tales, preferring to forge her own stories, so she had never actually bothered to pay attention to the story of how they abandoned the old camp before, though she knew an old camp existed. "Although," she twitched her ear thoughtfully, "I've heard the camp was near the FireClan border. And, considering who their leader is, I'd wager it had something to do with them? Either that, or it was a natural disaster," the ebony she-cat deduced, satisfied with her answer.

girls oh girls WAG YOUR TAILS TO THE BEAT It's fine :3 I've been out on vacation anyway Hollypaw let a faintly smug smile breach her features as she heard she was correct. "Koisplash... she used to be the deputy, right?" the ebony apprentice thought aloud. Hollypaw believed she had heard that from one of the older warriors, apparently the older she-cat had retired to the elders den.

(Sorry, I'm very busiy these days. Took a few, short, almost no internet vacations too, Hollypaw.) "Yep." Fawnspring said. Trotting over to the stream, Fawnspring lapped up some water, and beckoned with her tail, for Hollypaw to join her.

girls oh girls WAG YOUR TAILS TO THE BEAT it's fine :3 Hollypaw nodded thoughtfully. wondering how partial the older she-cat would be to telling her the story sometime. I'll probably have to check her for ticks at some point, the apprentice thought, waiting while Fawnspring took a drink from the stream, I guess I'll ask her then. The she-cat was particularly interested in the story, yet she knew that now that she had heard of it not knowing the details would bother her.Trotting over as her mentor beckoned, the ebony-furred apprentice looked down at the stream, not feeling particularly thirsty. "How much further until we reach the abandoned camp?" Hollypaw questioned, glancing up at the sky. Luckily it was still before early, but she knew how easily the day could slip away. Leaning down, she started lapping up a bit of water. Even if she wasn't thirsty it was better to stay hydrated.
