If you want to sign up you can do so here
Some people were in the car driving. Some people were watching tv. Some people weren't lucky enough. The message showed up the first week of the summer break. People were happy, but the message wasn't happy. It conveyed a message of monsters invading the city, monsters from fiction that weren't supposed to be real. Zombies are in the city. There was a second part to the message. The hospital is safe. And it was. So the people that heard the message went to the hospital, along with military personnel flown in to protect the citizens. It was a large hospital, but it wasn't meant to hold half the city. It was cramped and people were scared, fights were bound to break out. The people who didn't hear the message didn't get to the hospital and who knows what happened to them. What will happen to you? What will happen to us?

Finely was laying in her hospital bed staring at the ceiling. Her head hurt, but the bandages were comforting in a way. She didn't have the tv on and she didn't have the radio on so she didn't hear the message, but she was already in the hospital so it didn't matter to her. Finely sighed to herself and then stood up. She grabbed the crutches at the end of her bed and used them to hobble over to the window where she sat down. Finely saw people on the streets coming towards the hospital. It was the beginning of a new era and Finely couldn't really understand it without the message. At first she thought that there had been a fire or something devastating like that.
Then a helicopter landed outside the hospital and she decided it wasn't a fire. There was a helicopter pad on the top of the hospital, so it would have landed there normally. People began filing into the hospital in a more frantic manor. Finely shut the blinds and walked over to her door. She peeked out into the hallway and all she saw were people rushing back and forth. Finely saw a cart beside her door and grabbed something off of it before she closed the door and locked it. In her hand Finely held a scalpel. It wasn't much, but it would do. She sat on her bed and looked at her bandaged legs. They didn't feel very comforting now. Whatever happened she would have like to have the full use of her legs.

That morning when everything went down had originally felt... well normal. Les had gotten up at approximately 7 am, showered, dressed and was now slaving over the stove as his omelet began slowly burning to a crisp. The boy of age 22 had never been a good cook, living off ramen and bar food was a daily custom. He would work a shift of 11 to 5 on weekdays, then on the weekends he would work graveyard for the hospital. It was a huge place, but they always seemed to be short on staff during the later hours and there were merely things in his past that wouldn’t allow the sick and injured to go unattended.
Today was one of these weekend days, of which he had alternative rock blaring as he finally flipped the crisp onto a plate, a damp towel resting upon his broad shoulders. And it was at this moment that he heard it, almost missing the broadcast because there were almost never warnings in the city. Earthquakes maybe, but never anything big he really had to worry about, until today that was.
At first it seemed like a practical joke, zombies were fictional. Made up by moviemakers who had low budgets and wanted to make something of them selves in the genre of horror. Les had to pinch himself to make sure he was awake, making sure he did so at least 5 times for good measure before he accepted reality. There were zombies, real… walking dead zombies. In all this chaos there was only one place that was deemed ‘safe’. This being the place he would work night shifts, the place he was every weekend visiting patients, handing out medicine, sorting files… this place in particular being the hospital.
Without further speculation the overgrown boy slipped on a navy blue t before he stuffed his grandfather’s old pistol in the back of his jeans, slipping his shirt and cargo jacket over it. Along with his bowie knife in a black backpack, and the one thing he couldn’t leave without. The lucky lock-pick he preferred to carry around everywhere he went. It was beginning to rust but if he really needed it today it would definitely come in handy. So with that Les Greene bolted out the door, shooting out a hand to grab a solitary water bottle before he started up the street to the hospital.
(Started getting a little lengthy so I'll just wait for the next time I post to continue, love where it's going though <3)

Summer had to be one of the luckiest people in the world right now. She was listening to her favorite morning radio show when the message sounded. She got up immediately and rushed to the entrance, in which since she was fast like heck she reached there in about three minutes. She opened the doors and waited to let people in, since they were just gonna open hospital at this time on a normal day. She let people in, she never caught the expression on theirfaces, but she made out the most frightened people she had ever seen.
Including her.
She stared outside, it looked dark and gloomy. Summer had never seen a zombie, but she didn't want to. She forced herself inside from her curiosity and waited for others to come.

[ Of course this starts when I decide I should go to bed, lol ]
The start of the day had been the usual for Alice. Wake up early and make breakfast before heading off to work. The young woman had waken a few hours prior to the radio forecast, and had gone to work before then. However, it wouldn't be long until the short-haired woman heard of the walking corpses, while she didn't know what to say. At first she had thought it was some sort of trick, until she was shown a news forecast. It featured these strange creatures, and made it clear that this was no joke. Only a mere few seconds afterwards, she and a few others got geared up and shipped out to the place they were assigned to. Alice was partially familiar with the place, but mostly mapped the city on her way in.
She was well armed, a sniper being strapped to her back, a pistol in a holster on her right along with a sheathed bowie knife. An alignment of small packs were placed along her left side, some holding ammunition, others just empty packs. Her blonde hair was cut short, prior to usual, and her eyes were scanning out the window of the helicopter as it began descending a few feet from the hospital. The first thing Alice was looking for was vantage points, like how the roof of the hospital was perfect for sniping, but she wasn't sure yet if it was necessary. Once the helicopter landed, Alice stood, taking a few seconds to stretch before leaving the vehicle. However, what happened as soon as Alice stepped out was almost unexpected for her. People flooded past her, trying to get into the helicopter before it would fly off with the new batch of people. Alice groaned as she elbowed past the many people flooding past her in a crazy attempt to get to the helicopter.
"You can't be serious." Alice growled to herself as she shoved past. Once she managed to get past the main flood, she partially stumbled, but she managed to get out of the way. Alice grumbled a few times before searching for her radio with her gloved hands, but there was one issue. The radio she used wasn't where it was suppose to be, in fact it was no where to be found. "Dang it!" Alice hissed quietly. The small radio communicator she had brought just have gotten dislodged while she was pushing her way through the flood of men, women, and children. Her blue eyes scanned the area before staring up at the hospital's roof, then at the flood of people. It would be nearly impossible for her to shoot through this many people, but on the roof she could get a vantage point and aim for these walking corpses she had yet to see. With that, the young sniper made her way towards the hospital doors, hoping that she could get up to the roof easily.

[So I'm going to say we should have a posting order and new people can just join in whenever they want and that can be their spot in the order. Wait a few hours for the next person and if they don't post then the person after them can go. Anyways its been a day so imma post.]
Finely had been sitting on her hospital bed in silence just staring at her legs and the scalpel she had just grabbed. She then turned to look at the small TV in the corner of the room. She got up and hobbled over to it. She flicked it on and caught the last bit of the message that had been playing on repeat for a while now. "The hospital is safe." The television explained before it cut out. Finely looked out the window at all of the people rushing towards the hospital and the helicopters that looked to be letting military personnel out of them. She was about to wonder what the hospital was safe from when the message started up again. Zombies are in the city. The hospital is safe. The TV repeated this a few more times as Finely stared out the window in disbelief.
Once she got over the initial shock Finely looked down at her legs and the crutches she was leaning on. She was doomed. In every zombie movie the safe place was never safe for long, and there was never a girl with legs she could barely use that survived. If the hospital every became unsafe then she would probably die. Now Finely was pretty happy that she had grabbed the scalpel, even if it was just a small weapon. If she had to die she wasn't going to die weak and useless. So of course she grabbed the backpack sitting in the corner with a change of cloths in it. She looked around the room and grabbed the blanket off of her bed, which she threw into her backpack too.
Now with some minimal supplies in her backpack, her crutches, and her scalpel, Finely decided she was ready. She took a deep breath and opened the door. Instantly she was aware that nobody was speaking in their normal voice. Nobody was calm. People were yelling, people were whispering, and people were angry. Finely started to swing her way through the crowd in the opposite direction they were going. She assumed the crowd would be going towards the centre of the hospital where they assumed it would be the safest. Finely needed quick escape so she went towards where she assumed the elevator was. Nobody stopped her, but nobody helped her either.
[I'm just going to add this in here.]
Neo woke up nearly halfway through the day. He yawed and stretched before getting out of his bed and throwing on a sweater and jeans over his lithe form. Slowly he walked to the kitchen and started rooting through the fridge. Eggs, milk, leftovers, and much more were arranged by color in his fridge. He liked to arrange things in certain ways. Grabbing an apple from the red area in his fridge Neo closed the door and turned to the television, which he turned on. He then began rooting around for the remote. There was some zombie movie playing right now, but all it did was repeat. Neo wanted to watch something cooler than that.
Once he found the remote he punched in the number to his favourite channel, but nothing changed. It was still the same boring thing. Zombies are in the city. The hospital is safe. Neo began mimicking the voice as he searched for batteries in the kitchen. He found some in record time thanks to his organization of his drawers. Of course they weren't opened though. Oh no, that would be too easy. So the blue haired boy grabbed a pair of scissors and sliced opened the package. He began inserting the batteries into the remote when he heard a crash.
As a reflex Neo jumped and grabbed the scissors, hoping to ward off whatever intruder was in his house off with the small sharp object. When Neo poked his head around into his living room he found that his window had been smashed and a rotting corpse was now in his house. He wondered if somebody had thrown a dead body through his window. Then it moved. It began to drag itself up off of his floor and faced Neo himself. That was it, he laughed.
Neo was in hysterics as the zombie limped towards him. It was classic horror movie, but of course it was real. Neo, however, didn't realize the real part. "Oh my goodness." He exclaimed, "This is quite possibly the best joke I've ever seen." He was still in giggling fits as the monster drew closer. As the zombie got closer Neo finally really studied the thing. It was missing one eye, lots of teeth, and part of it's arm. It was a hard look to recreate that realistically. It dawned on him that maybe it wasn't a joke. The zombie lunged for Neo and Neo started jabbing with his scissors.
Under normal circumstances Neo would have been dead, but by some dumb stroke of luck he managed to plunge the scissors into the monster's eye socket far enough to hit it's brain, and everybody knows the quickest way to kill a zombie is to kill it's brain. The thing dropped like a fly and Neo pulled his new weapon out of it's eye. "The hospital is safe." He mumbled, and then it was time to run. He was only a mile or two away from the hospital and he decided he could run there fast enough. He just hoped he didn't die on the way.

The street was packed, horns were blowing left and right and Les swore his ears would soon bleed. Everyone was pushing and shoving against each other in a blind panic and somewhere a baby was crying. It was a terrifying cry; one that both angered him and gave him a painful guilt at the same time. Shoving the feeling off he pushed on, moving through the mob at a decent pace before there were several high-pitched screams and everyone was running towards him.
The 22 year old was soon knocked off his feet; hoards of people sweeping by him like a vast human river driven by fear and hysteria. And why was this? Why was everyone stampeding through the city as if they were a heard of buffalo in Africa... this being none other than the undead.
Scrambling back to his feet he decided on another route, this one being far longer but something that would hopefully get him around the flesh eaters. Weaving through the cars he took a left into an alleyway, seemed a little sketchy but for the most part he didn’t notice any walking corpses. Only trash bags and the occasional rat that scurried about his pounding feet.
After several more twists and turns he appeared at the back entrance of the hospital. Staff through the back windows looked distressed as they paced to and fro. Probably still comprehending the whole zombie thing that they figured was only a child’s tale and a cheap way for moviemakers to make a quick buck. Upon noticing Les was outside they immediately let him in, looking him down for bites and clearing him. The pistol and bowie knife on the other hand had taken a little more talking into but he had managed to get away with it.
Nodding off to them he took the elevator located off the first floor and rode it upward to level four. Feeling the need to check on the patients and make sure everything was at least still being kept in some order. Rather than the first floor he had just visited, where no one knew what was going on and he swore at least 2 people had been bit (which everyone knew was obviously the first sign someone would turn). Writing a personal note to himself he lodged three words into his mind, level one quarantine.
Upon the door opening he met face to face with a girl, not too much younger than him. But obviously a patient, one he sadly couldn’t remember the name of due to the fact she was normally sleeping by the time he would pass by. So instead he grabbed her by the shoulder and stopped her where she was, gingerly saying “You might want to turn around.”

Aviana had been with her grandmother when the message came across on the radio. Luckily her grandmother was asleep. She didn't need her panicking, especially not now. Making her way to the small bathroom provided with the room package, she turned the light on, grabbed her things that she'd left in there, then headed out, making sure to close the door firmly behind herself as she slipped out.
People rushed past her, shoving and pushing. She grunted and turned back to take the stairs only to find out they were blocked off. Fantastic. Blocking off one of the more reliable exits would come back to bite everyone in the hospital some day.
If zombies were real, she needed to be sure. She knew asking would be redundant, considering how many people were in shock anyway. Once she'd reached one of the many elevators, she bumped into someone else, a guy it appeared. He seemed to have bumped into another patient leaving, and was confronting her. It wasn't surprising, seeing her condition though. She wouldn't survive a day the way she was. "Why are you leaving the hospital?" she asked, though unintentionally so. It happened to escape her, and there was no way she could take it back. Hopefully they didn't believe she was intruding on anything.
Sean had been treating a patient when the message went off on the radio. He was already aware the infection had begun though. His patient was infected. It was a little girl, who'd gotten lost in the chaos of it all. Her mother had died. Her siblings died too, a little boy and an older sister.
He placed a ginger hand to rest on her forehead, which was unbelievably hot. He was going to have to find a cure or she would turn, endangering everyone in the hospital. The last thing he wanted was for someone to kill the young girl. Her life was too short; she was seven.
Reluctantly, he tied her to the bed in case she turned, and made his way toward the exit of the room, then headed out, bag on his shoulder. He was met by crowds of people, occupying rooms and rushing down the hallways, panicking.
Shoving his way through the crowd, he used his card to open the stairs which were now locked, and rushed down them. He needed a zombie to test on, and he intended to get one. Once he reached the bottom of the stairs, he cast a glance back up the stairs. He would help her. Pushing the door open, he walked out of the hospital, and gripped the pocketknife in his hand. He was determined to save her and everyone else here, even if it meant his life.

[ Knotkit demanded me to post.... so yeah....]
Alice continued to make her way towards the hospital, becoming determined to get to the roof. It was the perfect snipping advantage after all. Upon heading towards the entrance, she immediately saw a man who seemed to the have intent to leave the facility. In his hand was a pocketknife, and for some reason or another he seemed to have plans to leave. She brushed back some of the blonde pieces of hair that had managed to get into her eyes. Her job was to keep the people of the city safe, and she was pretty sure letting one run out of the hospital with nothing, but a knife wasn't even close to the definition of safe. Alice let out a quiet sigh of annoyance while she approached the man with the pocketknife. She wasn't sure if he was hostile, but she planned to make herself appear as no threat to him. "Excuse me, sir. You're not suppose to be leaving the safe hold." Alice stated, crossing her arms.
She didn't bother to make up a plan for if the young man bolted away from her, since with all her gear it was unlikely she would be able to catch up. However, if he ran and was close enough for her to get in his way, then she would try her best to stop him from running off. Immediate impatience came over her as she tapped her foot, waiting to find out what he would do. Her blue eyes could just see the inside of the hospital, which included an elevator with three people by it. One of which was being held up by a pair of crutches. Alice just shook her head and began to focus on the problem at hand.

When it started, Nikki Clarkson hadn't been prepared at all.
She had been sitting in her red and gothic-styled room with her stomach against the bed and her feet in the air behind her. Her hands tapped madly at the touch phone in front of her face, getting the paragraph done in a matter of seconds before sending. She had always prided herself on her speed and flawless outcome, except she tried to forget the one spelling mistake in her text. Ouch, that damaged her ego more than it should have.
She had her radio blaring a band she could almost call her favorite--ToP--and hadn't even been paying attention when the song she had been humming cut out violently. It was a few seconds of confusion and then rage before the radio returned to life, and instantly Nikki leaped up and prepared to change the station back to it's original, since her radio was just that much of a jerk to her. Only, she had paused for just a brief moment. A fraction of a second. Before she was even more enraged. They cut out my FAVORITE song just to play some hacked recording? she growled, slamming a fist atop the radio and grinding her knuckles into the buttons. Stupid radio! Turn this sound off! She pulled her fist away, having indented the buttons for a short amount of time, before spinning one of the knobs to change the station. She chose her second favorite station, since it played the same variety of music she liked and then some. But what she got was not music.
Zombies are in the city, the hospital is safe
Nikki was furious now. How far were these hackers going to take this? Did they really want to experience all that jail life? Jeezus, some people just don't know what to do with their lives these days. Nikki grumbled, ultimately clicking the radio off and springing onto her bed. She scooped up her phone in the process, running a finger down the cool zebra-colored case for only a few seconds before making the screen light up completely. She had a new message from her guy friend, and Nikki couldn't help but smile--despite the rage still boiling down in her gut--and unlock her phone. The text, however, wiped any happiness from her system completely.
The T.V. is blasting this zombie story. Parents think it's stupid and won't go, bro says he's packing his things because he's a rebel like that and it's a chance to leave the house. He's going to his friend's house, I know. What are your parents saying? Won't your mom force you to leave?
Nikki grounded her teeth against one another, clicked her tongue, and then forced the words onto the little space provided.
It IS stupid. Some hacker or something. Moms probably gonna grab the car keys once she sees the broadcast.
Nikki waited patiently for a reply. And then she realized something. She could hear the T.V. on in the living room. No, she could actually hear it. Her mother had a big pet peeve on blasting noise, and her own room was the farthest from the T.V. Unless neither of her parents were home, since her dad was strict enough to enforce any rules their mother created, and her sister was being her usual self again... it shouldn't be that loud. And certainly not repeating in a robotic voice the same words on the radio.
And then there was screaming from the kitchen. Her parents' voices were loudest of all, drowning out her sister's desperate and enraged cries. Nikki was shocked into silence. The words unheard but the meaning all the same, she couldn't process what was happening until there was a loud pounding on her door. She flinched, curling up into a tight ball as her father tried the locked door and then pounded again, demanding to be let in. Her parents never fought with one another—of course, they yelled at poor Nikki and her sister for being rebellious, but it never got this bad. Never in all her years did it ever get this bad.
That led to the mess of things. Her parents getting in the car to leave, despite her protests at first. They're screaming soon silenced both her and Maddy, her older sister, for most of the ride. Until they were forced to stop due to the road being blocked. Nikki still couldn't believe that most of these people were believing this garbage, but her parents seemed convince... and Maddy did, too. It seemed like the T.V. offered more of an explanation than the radio. The hackers really did a good job and making all this seem real... if they didn't get jail time before, then they best get it now.
Only... she should have believed them. Then maybe she wouldn't have suggested the idea of walking the rest of the way. “It isn't too far,” she had finally spoken up as her dad smashed his hands into the horn of the car. Her mother ran her trembling hands through her golden hair, and Nikki swallowed a tightness in her throat before going on. “Why don't we walk? We'll lock the car and everything.” And once you fools see your all being played, we can walk back and go home. She almost added. Then I can keep texting Dylan and watch the news on how these hackers get caught. And shove this nonsense into Mom's face while I'm at it. They should have never left the car like most other people were doing. Parents were herding children through the rows and rows of cars. Some strange loners decided jumping some windshields was a bright idea, thankfully not cracking any of them. Though that would have been a funny sight to see and laugh at later. If it had all proven to be false. A waste of time and effort.
If only... Nikki hadn't just stood there as what appeared to be a lone man approached her mother. If only she hadn't been so startled when he father drew a knife on him—a knife on a living person—and moved to attack him.
If only she hadn't screamed when the man tore into her dad's neck. Then maybe so many more of those monsters wouldn't have swarmed them. But her mother had screamed too. Her father went down by two of them. Her mother rushed to help him, not seeing another right behind her. A child, a little girl that didn't look dead at all. She looked lost and scared, seemingly to reach for the adult female was help from being lost. Only her fangs had sunk into her mother's shoulder without any hesitation.
She hadn't even been thinking as she raced around people, whether dead or alive. She had seen what had happened and didn't believe it. Was this some sick movie they were acting out? What kind of sick joke was this?
Maddy had been beside her the whole time until they finally reached the hospital. But, by that time, it had been too late. The two sisters had hidden in an alley way, debating their next form of action... or, Nikki had been. Only Maddy had been silent. So eerie quiet before drawing out a knife and taking her life there.
Everything was a mess. Nikki was broken. She still had Maddy's blood on her hands and across her shirt as she stumbled through the crowd of people shoving others aside to get to safety. Some didn't even care she had blood on her, and in a daze, she finally arrived at her destination. The hospital is safe. She thought, looking from person to person. She clicked her tongue. Then why do I already feel so dead?
{ sorry I'm late, I wanted to write this out on a computer and didn't have the chance this weekend. }

Finely had found the elevator and was waiting for the doors to open. She was holding the scalpel in such a way that nobody would be able to see it, but she could use it as quickly as needed. It seemed that nobody really cared where she was going, that is until the elevator doors opened. A man who Finely had seen a few times around the hospital looked straight at her and then stopped her from getting onto the elevator. She was trying to get past him when he said something along the lines of turning around.
Finely sighed and looked at the man who she assumed was a doctor. "Don't be stupid." She growled. "When was the last time you saw a girl who could only move around on crutches in a zombie apocalypse movie? What does that tell you about my chances of survival?" She was about to push past him and into the elevator when somebody else spoke. Where was she going? She was going to some place where she wouldn't be the first one to die. "That shouldn't matter to you now should it?" She snarled.
There was too much going on. Finely looked at the doors to the elevator only to find they had already closed, she'd have to wait again. She sighed and hobbled to the wall, which she leaned against. Might as well stay out of everybody else's way. She looked at the two people who had interrupted her. If she died in this hospital she was going to blame them. She closed her eyes now, trying to gain a solid plan. Avoid people trying to stop her and avoid death were her two main goals, but past that she didn't really know.

Neo was about halfway to the hospital when he realized that the streets were almost completely deserted. Did that mean that everybody was already at the hospital. Every now and then a car would zip past him and almost squash him, or he'd see a family hurrying along, but other than that there weren't really any people around. They all must be at the hospital. Neo slowed his pace to look around. Once he actually looked he could see the effects of people's terror. Stores were broken into, there were even a few corpses in the corners of alleyways. Whether or not they were zombies or humans Neo didn't know, but he didn't get close enough to find out.
When the hospital finally came into few Neo was amazed as to just how different it looked too. There were helicopters on the lawn and people were frantically trying to climb into them. The hospital itself looked to be pushed to it's maximum capacity. Neo decided that they didn't need another person getting in the way so he slowly wandered to the lawn and sat at the edge. He could watch for zombies. That could be his job in all this. Neo nodded to himself. It seemed like the best idea for him right now. He scanned the area with a scrutinized gaze, ready to shout if he saw anything coming.

[it's been a day, so...]
Aviana refrained from speaking up after the girl spat at the doctor, but found herself without words. Why she would risk her life leaving, she didn't know... but if that was really what she wished for, there was no stopping her.
During all the chaos, she'd somehow managed to catch the fact the elevator had closed. Grimacing, she looked at the two then shook her head. She needed to be helping everyone, not arguing over something this small... hopefully the stairs were open now.
Waving, she walked off in direction of the stairs, and lucky her, it was unlocked. Yay. Shoving the door open, she rushed down the stairs, though stopped abruptly in her path, nearly face-planting as there were two people talking at the door. She groaned. "Excuse me." she managed, then moved past them, making her way onto the lawn where she saw someone else sitting, watching. He had scissors. "You're not expecting to fight anything, are you?" she asked, laughing to herself, then plopped down next to him.
**
Sean was out the door. He made it without anyone stopping him. Giving a relived sigh, he slowed his pace, and began walking. He'd almost made it anyways. Stopping in his tracks, he turned a bit irritably to face the girl who'd stopped him.
"Look," he began, "I get that no one's supposed to leave, but I need a zombie to test on, so I can try to find a cure." then finished with a sigh. "I wouldn't expect you to understand." She was in the military. "You want to kill everyone infected." he said, feeling bitter.
Being childish wouldn't solve his problems. "What if I wait on the lawn with everyone?" he asked. "Then I can test on a zombie when someone kills it," proposing a different solution. Surely she'd want this all to end.

[ That moment when you almost finish a post, then the browser does something weird and gets rid of it. ;-; ]
Alice's foot tapped impatiently against the pavement, the military officer had places to get to in order to protect the people of the city. Her only chance of doing that being the roof of the hospital and doing the fine art of sniping. However, the man didn't hesitate to give her an answer to the question. He explained how he had a possible cure that could stop the infection. She could understand the want to help, so upon hearing she didn't and getting told that she wanted to kill every infected earn the man a glare from her. Just because she was military didn't mean she was a cold-hearted killer who didn't want another way to end all of this. However, he had a fair point, Alice was sent here to eradicate the problem entirely. She had been briefed about how she should aim for the head and about a few more things of how to kill these nasty monsters. He had given her a reasonable plan, but Alice took a glance around, she could see the panic issued chaos that had form around them. People were screaming, pushing and doing whatever they could to make it so they could do one thing, survive.
Alice released an annoyed sigh, the last thing she wanted to do was tell this doctor to not try and fix this. "Everyone is too panicked at the moment. You could get pushed over, hurt or get bitten yourself." Alice started, before going onto her next point. "And don't say that I don't understand. I get it, you want to be the hero and help everyone, but you won't be able to do so if you get killed." Alice stated, being blunt about the situation at hand. Blunt was her specialty after all, and if this man could fix the situation, then he needed to be safe. The next words that would come out of Alice's mouth would be the last resort if he was truly vent on going out amidst the chaos. "However, if you really feel like you have to go out there, I am coming with you." Alice said, she wasn't going to let this man with a possible cure go out there alone.

Through the loud screams and massive headache, Nikki found herself at the front of the hospital. She looked the place left to right, confused on which way to go and still not understanding the full situation. Everything still felt like a nightmare. One that seemed to have no intention of letting her wake from. But she at least processed one thing--the deeper a useless burden like herself was in the hospital's hallways and wounded humans, the better the more important people were.
At least, that was her first thought. Upon noticing two people sitting casually, if you could put it like that, on the lawn of the hospital made her interest perk. She was over the shock of her parents and sister dying, even if half the things she now saw and heard didn't register in her head until twenty minutes after it was noted. And the fact that two people weren't even trying to follow everyone else to safety baffled her. Did they want death so much? Maybe they held some sort of military license or combat training? Would they even want to talk to a simple girl like me she thought, and then turned her head sharply away. Heh, talk to them? I hate people. Just because the world is going to hell doesn't mean I need to suddenly get a purpose for socializing.
But... her curiosity almost got the best of her as she felt her feet veer off, just the slightest, from the path she had been walking. Though, three moments after, she pretended like it had been a simple unbalanced step. Nikki turned her body back in the direction of the hospital, staring straight ahead with narrowed eyes and hoping they wouldn't care about a 15-year old girl walking alone.
But, that was when she remembered she hadn't changed her bloody clothes yet. So it wouldn't be surprising if they assumed she were... well, a walking corpse, to put bluntly. And she did walk with a stagger.... If a bullet was soon lodged into Nikki's brain, then she would only blame herself for setting up her own death.

Finely was listening to everything people were saying around her. There was somebody shouting about how her daughter was supposed to be flown to another hospital for some surgery that Finely hadn't been able to hear. It seemed that her daughter needed the surgery within the week, but with the zombies it also seemed unlikely that it would happen. Finely sighed and furrowed her brow. "I have to get out of here." She muttered. Everybody in the hospital was probably panicking in one way or another and she wanted to panic outside of the hospital, away from everybody else. She took to staring at the doors to the elevator and waiting for them to open again.

Neo was slowly coming down from the adrenaline rush and had stopped looking out at the city with a watchful eye. He had instead switched to staring at his scissors, which had blood coating them. Perhaps the thing he had killed was just that, a thing, but every zombie monster portrayed them as once being human, and their blood sure did look human. No matter how hard he tried to justify it he still felt like he had murdered somebody. His head snapped up along with the scissors as a voice spoke to him. He slowly lowered them as he realized that she wasn't a zombie, just a regular person.
He gave her a small smile as she sat next to him. "I wasn't planning on it, but, well..." He trailed off as his eyes looked at the blood on the scissors again. His eyes then snapped up to look out at the city like he had originally planned. He was here to give warning to the people inside if zombies did show up, then maybe the military people could shoot them before anybody died. That was his plan.
"I'm really just trying to be useful." He added after and he turned to the girl who was now sitting beside him. "I don't really know how to fight, but I'm fast so I figure that I can watch for zombies and warn people when they're coming." He told her. Neo was about to state his name when he saw somebody take one step towards them out of the corner of his eye. He thought somebody else was coming to join them, but when he looked he almost shouted out in surprise. The person he saw was stumbling around and covered in blood.
Neo was about to shout to somebody that there was a zombie on the lawn when he realized that it wasn't a zombie, it was just a girl covered in blood. "One second." He said to the girl already sitting beside him as he got up to walk over to the bloodied girl. He approached cautiously in case she was actually a zombie or a murderer or something. He looked her in the eyes. "Um, hey, are you okay? 'Cause you're kinda all bloody and, um, you kinda also look like a zombie and, well, I'd feel pretty bad if you got shot just walking around out here." Neo was trying to sound comforting, but he wasn't doing too good of a job. "Do you want to come sit down?" He asked and motioned to the spot he had just been."

(sorry for the long reply, between school, work, and trying to keep somewhat of a social life outside of vdubs... stuff has been rough)
This particular girl did not seem like she wanted to listen to him, not one bit. In fact she had practically spit at him. Stubborn one she was, but stubborn wasn't always a bad thing ... most of the time ... but not always.
But as far as she looked now she wouldn't last a minute outside. People were coming in with all sorts of bite marks, tears and blood running faster than a river. Opening his mouth he was about to protest when other ended up next to him, seemingly having the same feelings as he did. That this teen should at least stay on the current floor.
Turning back to the girl he remembered as Finely he began to speak, "Okay, how about I make you a deal." He said calmly, taking his hand off her shoulder and attempting to make direct eye contact. "You can help me out around the place... but you have to stay where I can see you. We need supplies."
Pausing for a minute he thought for more words, only returning to the conversation with, "Oh, and I'm not a doctor by the way."
