Deerpaw
I sighed as I took paw steps out of the nursery It was bright and pretty outside No one was in sight though I padded towards the fresh kill pile hopefully to find a juicy plump mouse I scanned the camp to see if any warriors were watching My bright amber eyes fixed on my desire A plump fresh mouse I devoured it in a few seconds before I spotted Deerpaw Acornkit's sister I wanted to say hi so I went over to her "Hi" I greeted her What would she think of me A cat born outside the clans I was worried about how she would respond

aaaahhh sorry for this reply being so late (>;^;)> Deerpaw stretched languidly in her nest, her back cracking as it arched and her eyes fluttering closed blissfully before snapping open again. Her eyes scanned the near-empty apprentice den, finding herself to be the only one awake. As usual, she thought with a sight, padding out of the den and into the chilly leaf-bare air. Shivering slightly as the cold breached her short pelt. The apprentice's amber gaze swept the clearing, enjoying how everything looked against the pure white snow. Leaf-bare was turning out to be a rather visually appealing season, although the she-cat could do without the cold. Her eyes shifted towards the fresh-kill pile, planning on grabbing a bite to eat before they stopped against the lone figure of another she-cat padding towards her. "Good morning," Deerpaw greeted with a small, gentle smile. She wasn't sure she had met this particular kitten before, although there was something about the apprentice's company that seemed familiar. "Enjoying the snow?" Deerpaw asked, gesturing with her tail to the snowy ground around the two. Even though the other clans had been getting snow long ago, it was only just starting to pile up in FireClan. Without the shade of trees or mountains, snow tended to melt rather quickly here.

Deerpaw smiled slightly at the other apprentice's politeness, it seemed to be something the youth these days were lacking. Gosh, I'm starting to sound like an elder, the she-cat thought, slightly amused as well as slightly worried. Her amber eyes widened a bit when she noticed her and the other apprentice shared the same name. It wasn't the most common, although their was an heir of similarity about Deerpaw and the other apprentice's appearance, so she figured it wasn't all that strange. "It's nice to meet you as well," the brown-and-cream apprentice mewed, then tipped her head to the side slightly, her ear flicking in an inquisitive manner, "did I hear you say you know my brother? Are you a friend of his?" the she-cat held her tongue when she realized she was probably badgering the poor apprentice. Still, she was fond of her brother, and was eager to meet some of his friends. After all, while the other Deerpaw seemed like a nice, respectful cat the apprentice still wanted to make sure she wasn't going to be a bad influence on her younger sibling.
