Pearpaw bounded into the den, excitement washing over her features as she relished in the fact that she was an apprentice now, and she was an apprentice to the deputy, at that! She opened her mouth to scent around the apprentices' den for empty nests not taken by other new apprentices, or old apprentices. At the few that she had scented without actual cats claiming them, there was one near the entrance, one near the back, and one somewhere near the middle. The white she-cat with orange tabby patches decided against the middle, and padded towards the one nearest the entrance.
It was cold. Colder than she expected, really. Jolting out of the nest, she looked around to see if anyone had watched her almost stumble into a wall.

Vixenpaw entered the den with a smile on her face. The reddish brown she-cat trotted towards an empty nest. She placed down her fresh bracken and moss and fixed in up a little. Vixenpaw then spotted a cat walking into a wall. "Are you alright do you need any help?" |

Pearpaw shook out her fur, looking over to Vixenpaw and smiled. "I-I'm fine! I just got startled by... uh, the coolness of the air near the front of the den." Pearpaw looked down, "Which... you took, actually." Pearpaw waved a white tail with orange tabby patches, "Anyhow, I'm Pearpaw! I didn't get your name during the ceremony... what's your name?"

"No, No! It's fine!" Pearpaw mewed, bowing her head. "I... might actually go for one in the back. Nice to meet you, Vixenpaw." She smiled, "So, are you excited for tommorrow?! Are you? I mean, it's going to be our first real day as apprentices!"

Pearpaw smiled, nodding in her agreement. "Same here!" The she-cat mewed, waving a tail in the air. "So, I think I'll take a nest near the back... comfortable, like when I was a kit!"
