Flowerkit purred as his pale green eyes opened... but wait. There was no colour there. What?

Worried, the young kit backed away with a shuffle and blinked his eyes rapidly. He looked in front of him and saw his older brother. 'Oh.' he said feeling like an idiot as he had just had his face pressed against Quailkit's neck.

Quailkit was dreaming about sparrows and such when he felt movement around him. Then a voice, the tom-kit snapped awake and saw his younger brother. "You seem early, wanted to explore camp?" He asked, jumping to his paws.

[Minnowfin]

"Yes please!" the patched kit purred, a smile on his face as he tried to nudge his brother further away from the nest "Let's go!"

Quailkit laughed too, rubbing his eyes. "OK..." He meowed, and shot outside. It didn't take too long for Quailkit's tired yellow eyes to turned bright and mischievous. "Come on!"

"Hey no fair! Wait for me!" Flowerkit squealed, sprinting as fast as he could, which to be honest wasn't very fast at all, to Quailkit. The young kit looked up at the tabby, his small smile a lot bigger as he caught up, "Where now?"

Quailkit stared as his little brother followed him. He was so small compared to the older tom. He felt a protective feeling prick through him, must be his nature. "We can look at the dens, but not inside. The warriors would have our ears if that happened." He joked, starting to wander around.

Flowerkit cowered a little at the thought of a warrior clawing his ears off for going near their beds, although it was reasonable... They were very busy cats.

He nodded and spoke, "Where we going first?" He tilted his head, begining to walk.

"We could just look from outside, so I guess the apprentice den. We'll be their before 'ya know it." Quailkit smiled, trying to ease the mood. Looking around, he stared at Flowerkit again. "We can go to the fresh-kill pile afterwards."

"Okay!" the young kit purred, bouncing to try and reach their destination faster. He couldn't wait to see all the different dens and the fresh kill pile.

"What's it like? Are the dens very big?"

"Well, the dens are slightly smaller than the Nursery, as far as my adventures go." Quailkit answered casually, smirking. He stopped at the sight of the apprentice den, he could Invision him inside, hanging with some friends. If he even had more than two.

"Well. This is the apprentice's den, I think."

"Rad sauce!" Flowerkit exclaimed, poking his head inside to have a small look around. It was a little smaller than the nursery, but then again there more kits than apprentices and Queens had to stay in the nursery too.

"I can't wait till we're apprentices!"

Quailkit smiled and held back a laugh, "Rad sauce?" He asked, not really familiar with the term. He stood next to Flowerkit and peeked inside as well. He was eager to join here.

"Yeah, we'll be the best warriors this clan has ever had!" Quailkit said, his smile growing wider.

[Minnowfin]

Flowerkit giggled and grinned at Quailkit's reaction to his phrase, staring up at him with wide, pale green eyes.

"Totally! We'll be the best warriors in all of the clans!" He purred. Every enemy would fear him when he was older.

Small ambition burned inside Quailkit, they had to be the best warriors, they were kits of Tinywhisker. "Yeah, that means we have to train hard, but we still can have fun." He replied, he imagined himself and his brother getting their warrior names.

It filled him with determination.

"I'm gonna train real hard and become the best warrior I can!" He exclaimed, pride showing in his voice, "Every enemy will fear us!"
