(Sorry if I tagged you two wrong, I'm kind of new to tagging.) "Time to get up, Crowpaw!" Spottedheart mewed loudly into the apprentice den, he had plans to start the first day of training much as his mentor had so many moons ago. It was an easier time back then and he had to really focus to steer his thoughts away from his past. It haunted him, especially how he had abandoned his clan. Every night he wondered if it had been the right decision. He wasn't going to let that stop him from being a great mentor however. It seemed like these two were eager to start their training. Hopefully it would stay that way, after all he hadn't always been an eager and excited apprentice. The last few nights were the hardest, especially the assessment but it was all worth it in the end and he felt a burst of excitement to help set these bright young cats down the same path to being loyal warriors. This was also a very important step in proving his loyalty to his new clan.

Crowpaw was up early, both eager to start his first day of training and remembering that Spottedheart had told him not to be late for his first day of training. The small, dark-furred tom had been grooming before his mentor called him and Acaciapaw out. "Good morning," the tom-cat mewed to Spottedheart when he exited the den, dipping his head respectfully.

Spottedheart nodded back to his apprentice, a small grin on his face. Crowpaw was off to a very good start by the looks of his pelt he had been grooming for some time, indicating that he had also woken early to prepare for training. "Very good, Crowpaw." The black and white tom praised, inspecting his well groomed fur. The apprentice had obviously been trying to make a good first impression and he was succeeding already. Hopefully he'd keep up that behavior once they were outside the camp. Back on his first day out of camp he had been looking and sniffing every single rock and snow pile. Then again he had waited longer than most cats to become an apprentice. It was like the clan forgot he existed or something. That was in the past and he blinked a few times to clear it. "Come on then you two, let's get out of camp while its still early. Sun is killing me." He mewed lightly, a genuine smile on his face. Having apprentices to train would help keep his mind off his old life and help prove himself to TreeClan, today felt like a good day.

Crowpaw straitened up his posture and grinned at his mentor's praise, trying to keep himself from bouncing on his paws like a kit in excitement. He couldn't wait to see the outside of camp! He wondered vaguely if they would run into Goldenpaw and his mentor, but brushed off the idea as he knew it was unlikely. His tail lashed in excitement as his mentor said they were going to leave camp. "What part of the territory are we going to see first?" he meowed, his amber eyes flicking between the camp entrance and Spottedheart.

"Let's head to the stream, I'm parched." Spottedheart suggested. He could literally feel the excitement pulsing off of his new apprentice, it brought a smile to his face. In his memory there was still fragments of his first time out of camp with Destinedspirit, she had been a very good mentor to him. The memory of meeting her during the move in IceClan still remained fresh in his mind, it felt good to talk to someone he knew again. That was in the past, as he had to keep reminding himself. Those days were gone, he needed to focus on making sure that Crowpaw became the best warrior he could be. He met Crowpaw's gaze for a second before motioning for him to follow with his tail and making his way through the bracken entrance.

Crowpaw followed after Spottedheart with curious excitement. He cough feel his throat grow dry as he finally set his eyes upon the territory. Everything was so big. He knew that the trees blocked some of his view, but their was a strange vastness to the world outside the camp walls. An endlessness that was both unsettling and enticing to the young tom. "Woah," the small tom-cat mewed under his breath, amber eyes taking in as much as the territory as they could before he directed his attention back towards his mentor; excited to see what the warrior had in-store for the two of them.

"Okay, first, let's see if you can find the direction of the stream." Spottedheart instructed, opening his mouth to scent the air. The unusual smell of moist moss and wet earth flooding his senses. There weren't a lot of plants in IceClan and getting all these scents at once was a little bit overwhelming. He stood upright, trying to pinpoint the exact direction. Hornetstripe had shown him the way already so he knew it by sight, but not smell. "Once you've found the way point to it with your tail." The black and white tom mewed. "Think with your nose not your eyes."
