Swiftstrike was up surprisingly early this morning. He wasn't usually one for mornings, but he figured he could take out Talonpaw in the morning and his other apprentice, Ivypaw, at night for some night training. Maybe he would drag Talonpaw along as well, if wan't too tired already. "Talonpaw! Training!" the black-and-white warrior shouted into the apprentice's den, then trotted over to the fresh-kill pile and picked out a plump mouse for his breakfast while he waited for his newest apprentice to show up.

Talon, blinked sleep from his eyes. what? Getting to his paws he quickly stretched for a moment. Padding into the camp he looked up, so early... With a few more blinks he spotted the warrior assigned to him self. "Swiftstrike, what do you plan to teach me today?" he flicked his ears. Looking at the fresh kill heap not sure if he was welcome to eat he sat down and groomed waiting for his Mentor.

"Well, we'll have to go by the borders first," the big black-and-white tom mewed, licking the mouse-blood from his maw, "that'll take a chunk of time. After that we can either do some tree-climbing or hunting. It's your pick," Swiftstrike then leaned down to continue his meal and flicked his tail towards the fresh-kill pile, inviting his apprentice to eat as well.

He listend as the plans were layed out, well today sounds like a rought one. He thought. He didn't think it was his place to good hunting or climbing the time being so he only dipped his head greatfully as he chose a small Squirrel from the pile. His favorite of all the prey's. He quickly munched on it. Once finishing it and carfuly laying the bones to rest he glanced at him mentor eyes glimmering with excitment. "What clan are you going to show me first?"

"Why don't we go by the... RockClan border first," Swiftstrike mewed, naming the first clan that came to mind. It had been awhile since he had been by that border, and a part of him missed the fresh mountain scents that blew over the RockClan border. He got to his paws and walked towards the entrance of the camp once Talonpaw was finished, gesturing with his black-furred tail for the younger tom to follow.

He grinned, RockClan nice. He thought about the clan it's self others had told him very few things about it but from what he gathered they were a strange banned of felines. SwiftStrike got up and made his way to the enterance. Talon stood with a quick shake of his fur; he padded a pace behind his mentor. "So umm, What are they like? Rockclanners that is?"

"They are tough cats, to say the least. Their territory is probably the most harsh of all the clans, although I've heard that they've moved camp, so hopefully things are going better for them," his eyes latched onto RockClan territory once it came into view. The high, snowy peaks lay just below the clouds. Vaguely, he wondered if RockClan cats ever climbed up that high, and what it would be like to feel cold stone beneath his paws instead of soft undergrowth. He pushed the thought away, instead focusing on his apprentice. "Most RockClan cats I've met are nice enough. They tend to be bigger, with strong legs for digging and climbing the mountain," Swiftstrike himself had inherited the big build and strong legs from his father, Spruceclaw.
"Do you know who their leader is?" the black-and-white tom tested Talonpaw as he slowed to a halt besides the RockClan border, signaling for his apprentice to do the same.

His eyes went wide with wonder of such cats. Larger than us? I thought we were big. He tilted his head as the tom went on. "They sound powerful, oh and CloverStar isnt it?" he said as he was asked the simple question. He thought for a moment and asked. "Do they hunt things like we do.. I mean being so high up would make trees more scares how do they get prey with out climbing?"
