...Where was she? Dewmask twitched her ears, sniffed the air, trying to determine where the heck she got taken to, and where the heck she was now. It sure smelled familiar, but the name wasn't really fresh on her mind. Her tail twitched, and she could actually sense a few mice nearby. Crouch down, swivel ears around, try to sense direction of any wind. This was familiar to her. Tree...Tree... She crawled slowly, trying to sense if the mouse moved. It didn't. Apprentice. You used to have one. You have kits.
She did, but she can't remember their scent by now. It's... such a weird thing, what being taken does... wait. Tree...TREECLAN! DID I FORGET ABOUT TREECLAN?
...Oh no. She almost distracted herself, but she had to keep her mind on track. She tried to lunge, but- ow, there was a tree in the way. The trees of this place really didn't help, and she could sense the mouse she was going after skitter off. Owwww, her head... "Stupid trees..." She mumbled, shaking her head. She had to get used to this place again, didn't she...?

Autumndust hadn't planned on going hunting when she left the camp to go out for a walk, but when a mouse skittered in front of her path she couldn't resist. She immediately chased after it, pouncing and landing on it (perhaps a little less gracefully than she could have), snapping it's neck to instantly kill it. She couldn't help but be a little proud of her catch, as messy as it had started, and took a moment to beam at her handiwork.
It was then that she noticed grumbling coming from the spot the mouse had been running away from, and she turned her head in the direction of the sound. Quickly, she buried her catch and started trotting to origin of the sound, worried that perhaps somebody had been injured. It wouldn't hurt to check, right? "Hello?" she called, moments before she found the cat who had been making the sound. "Is everything alright? Did you run into a tree...?"

Voice. Off to her right. Dewmask twitched her right ear, trying to determine where exactly the voice had come from, and... Yep, pawsteps coming at approximately a sort of angle. At the next question of whether she ran into a tree or not...
"Yep." Dewmask muttered, blind amber eyes staring Autumndust in the face. Her whiskers were twitching slightly, and the brown fur around her face actually showed a little bruise. "Sure did."
Does this cat recognize me? Dewmask was sure she had scented her before, but that could've been from when she was actually in the clan. Dewmask sat down, curling her tail over her paws, waiting for the other to speak.

Autumndust let out a distressed gasp when the warrior admitted to having indeed run into the tree. "Oh, no! Are you alright?" she asked, clearly concerned, despite technically only having just met the other cat. She stepped forward, looking over Dewmask to check for any injuries. (#mom activated) It seemed nothing was wrong, other than the poor thing's face having been scratched up a bit, which was good.
Dusty paused when she noticed the way the the warrior's eyes seemed cloudier than they should have been, and they didn't really focus on any one spot in particular. She almost opened her mouth to ask whether that was new, but then she remembered she'd seen other cats like that. The warrior was blind, Autumndust realized suddenly.
"Well, you don't seem badly hurt..." Autumndust concluded, though Dewmask probably could tell that for herself. She wasn't aware she had slipped into her 'worried mom' voice. "You'll have to be more careful in the future, though. Do you need any help getting back to camp? Oh- I'm Autumndust, one of the TreeClan queens. I've seen you around, I think, but I never got your name?"

Autumndust padded around her, obviously looking at the wounds that must've been on her head or something, with a worried tone under her voice. When asked if she needed help getting back to camp, Dewmask immediately nodded.
"Oh, that explains where I think I've heard you before." Dewmask said, unwrapping her tail and getting up into her four paws once more. "And scented. But, uh, yeah. I haven't been in treeclan for a long time, and I can't remember why..."
I can't even remember my kits names. How long was I gone? Dewmask twitched her whiskers. "Please, guide me back to camp. I bet some cats would be glad to see me."
What if they're mad? Dewmask twitched her ears again, mostly at annoyance at her thoughts. She would readjust, but she still had the forest in her. Hopefully. "Dewmask." She replied, belatedly, after realizing she hadn't answered that question.

"Good to meet you," Autumndust nodded, realizing a moment too late Dewmask couldn't see it. Maybe she could hear it, or something, though? Dusty wouldn't know. "I'd be happy to lead you back," she meowed, looking over the warrior one more time to make sure that she was standing alright. Getting hit on the head could make cats dizzy, if they were hit hard enough. Thankfully, that didn't seem to be the case for Dewmask, but Dusty had to check again anyway.
"I'm sure your clanmates will be happy to see you," she went on, starting to walk back to camp. She kept an eye on Dewmask to make sure she was keeping up alright, and kept her pace a little slower than usual. She stopped on the way to dig up her mouse from earlier. "I caught the mouse you lost earlier, so you don't have to worry about that," she explained, before picking up her catch in her jaws and continuing forward. "I hope you don't mind me stealing your catch," she mumbled around the mouse, as an afterthought.

Dewmask started to smile again, and padded after Autumndust, keeping her scent and pawsteps close at hand. She felt tree roots underneath her paws, at times, and when Autumndust admitted to catching the mouse that ran away, Dewmask laughed, "Well, I lost it, and I was a bit busy muttering about my wounded head. It's good." The white she-cat continued padding, ears high on her head, making sure she was to trail a bit behind Autumndust. "...Oh yeah, where has Paleheart been, recently?" She asked, that name being the few things she had remembered.

[[ AAH SORRY I TOOK SO LONG ]]Autumndust secretly was relieved when Dewmask let her know she didn't mind the queen snagging the catch. For some reason she had been a little more worried about that than she should have been. "Paleheart?" Dusty repeated, voice still muffled around the mouse she was carrying. She tried to remember where she'd heard the name before. Dewmask's mate, right? The one she had a litter with? "Oh! Right, Paleheart!" she exclaimed, finally recognizing the name. She dropped the mouse by accident, and picked it up quickly, cheeks burning at the mistake.
She was the queen, it was her job to remember these things, and yet she still had trouble. So many names to remember, so many other cats. Even now she wasn't used to it.
"I can't say I know what he's been up to..." she admitted. "I'm sure he'll be happy to see you, though," she added, sensing the warrior's uneasiness. "Your kits will be, too. There's nothing to be nervous about."

Dewmask sighed, shaking her head with a smile on her face. "I don't know how you gathered that. But yeah, thank you." The tan she-cat smiled, swerving around another tree she had remembered, before pausing. "The more I stay here, the more I remember... I wonder if my kits remember me? I have been gone for a while." The blind cat put a nose to the air, and sniffed in familiar and unfamiliar tree-like scents. "We're close to the camp, right?"
(IT'S SHORT BUT I HAD TO REPLY)
