Crevicelight was a bit too far from Rockclan's campsite, but she just had to continue trekking into the territory. She was pretending to follow the sunhigh patrol, but strayed away from their path. But she continued what she started and ended up near the Treeclan border and that's when the Turkish Angora realized that it was sort of too late. Someone already spotted her and Crevicelight really wanted to meet another clan's warriors, especially after playing with Crowpaw moons ago! "Wow! Your eyes are so bold!" she called out, remembering to stay on her side of the border, though heavily tempted to cross. She was not yet sure of this stranger though, he might attack her, but she could talk to him as long as she wanted on her side of the border, right? "Oh, anyways, I'm Crevicelight! I never seen you around the border before. You look older than me though, so I guess you're a senior?" She then looked at him again and shook her head. "No, nevermind, you still look young! Forget what I said earlier!" Still, she was not yet out of breath. "What's your name anyways?"

Sunny didn't know why his paws had wandered over to the Rockclan border.
Maybe because the Fireclan border made Moon's screaming worse somehow, and it was strange hanging around the Iceclan border when they weren't there. Through process of elimination... He supposed Rockclan was the border with the least amount of negative thoughts attached.
He had been shyly walking along the border. His ears were folded back and his expression was uncertain, but other than that, his posture was straight, his tail held at a normal height... Just like Thistlefang told him. Something about dignity. It was a little hard to remember because Moon always clawed at him in their mind when he tried to recall it.
He'd spotted a Rockclan warrior across the border, and she seemed... Kind of loud, but friendly. She started rambling a bit going on about.... Well, he wasn't one hundred percent sure. "O-Oh... Well... I-It isn't my real name.... B-But I'd really like it if you could c-call me Sunny." He replied nervously, with a hopeful smile on his face.

Crevicelight liked the idea of not using your actual name. It kept it kind of mysterious as to who the Treeclanner actually was. Maybe she'll find out later today, maybe not, but now she was more inclined to get to know Sunny. "Well, it's a name name you've got there Sunny. It describes your perfectly. You're like a sunny ray of sunshine." Which was sort of true, she just didn't notice how nervous Sunny seemed to be. She wasn't really good at picking that up, unless it was with her apprentices for she got to know them over time. "What are you Treeclanners up to today? Can you climb a tree? If you can, then can you teach me?"

Sunny blushed.
He looked away as he absentmindedly pawed at the ground. "T-Thanks..." He responded nervously. It was kind of weird being complimented... He couldn't remember the last time someone complimented him. Maybe... Before Starry had left? It had been a few moons then....
Then he returned his gaze back to Crevicelight who started going on and on, asking three questions in a row. He blinked and almost took a step back, but managed to not flinch away from the Rockclanner. "W-Well... The u-usual... Checking b-borders and c-catching p-prey...." He replied quietly, as his gaze turned downwards. "E-Er yes.... U-Um... W-Why would y-you want to k-know how to c-climb a t-tree? D-Does Rockclan h-have trees?"

Crevicelight carried a smile as Sunny began to respond to her. Checking borders and catching prey. Maybe he was a stray from a patrol too? Rockclan already learned to let Crevicelight do her own thing - she'd get back to patrolling later today, but would Treeclan retrace their steps to find their wandering clanmate? She did not know. It wasn't like she was worried. The more strange cats meant the more strangers that she'll get to know. She was a bit confused at his answer to climbing though. It felt like he was hiding something from her. Maybe he didn't know how either? "We umm. . . have a few. But I think it would be cool to actually climb. I think that's what Treeclanners are best known for." She stopped. Maybe Sunny was trying to keep his technique a secret. Maybe it was something Treeclan taught their kits to keep a secret from the other clans. She'd have to ask Cloverstar about that later. "I just think it'll be fun to climb, but I don't have to. I have cliffs to play around with already."

Sunny noticed Crevicelight was smiling at him.
He gave a nervous smile back, trying to smile widely, but it came off rather awkward. When Sunny was in control, his smiles were always awkward, nervous... They didn't offer comfort exactly. They had been this way since not long after he'd become a warrior. It was... Frustrating at times. Also somewhat frightening. Did Moon's existence come at the cost of his confidence? That was terrifying, thinking that Moon had actually stolen something important from him.
He absentmindedly pawed at the ground at Crevicelight revealed that Rockclan had a few trees. He supposed that made sense... He figured all four territories of the clans were pretty similar, meshing a bit at the borders. But as such, Rockclan had its cliffs. Not a lot of trees. So, tree climbing didn't seem all that fun.
"You just use your claws..." He murmured softly.
He was a Treeclanner, true... But Starry had always been more of a natural in the trees.

'You just use your claws.' Oh, duhh! Why didn't Crevicelight think of that? In Rockclan, they mainly looked for nooks and crannies within the boulders and would leap from place to place. They didn't really have to use their claws to travel, just their weight and posture. "That. . . makes sense!" she enthusiastically commented with a chirp. 'Maybe I'll try it when Sunny leaves. That way he won't see me fail my first time, but the next time we meet, we can race up in the trees!' Crevicelight purred, lost within her own fantasy. She was content with that and hardly remembered that Sunny was still staring at her. "So Sunny, why don't you go by your real name if you don't mind me asking? It's alright if you don't want to answer it."

Sunny blinked.
Crevicelight seemed to... Really like his advice? He thought it was kind of lame. Then again, that might've been Moon's mutterings. Sometimes it was hard to tell which was his thoughts and which were Moon's. Then she seemed to space out.... He wondered what Crevicelight was thinking. Probably about trees.
He still didn't get why she wanted to climb trees. Treeclan as far as he knew was the only clan where tree climbing was useful. He blinked.
"U-Uh... Well... My r-real name is u-uh...." His ears folded back as he looked away. "It d-doesn't feel l-like the real m-me."

Crevicelight was stumped when Sunny said that his name didn't fee like the real him. So maybe he was meant to be a loner perhaps but born in Treeclan? She didn't want to jump to conclusions though. She refused to get to know non-clan cats, and she wanted to get to know Sunny. He still had some warrior name that wasn't him anyways. "When I was a kitten and apprentice, I used to play with some other kittens and apprentices, and we pretended we were warriors invading our camp! Maybe that's what you're doing?" She was so close to the border, and every time she was about to step over, she would trot away from it. At least it was keeping her sane, though she wanted to cross. "Sunny, why don't you feel like the real you?" She didn't really now this cat other than he seemed friendly, shy, but definitely hiding something from her. She just felt like she had to uncover this mystery about the strange tom.

Sunny shook his head.
He noticed Crevicelight was dangerously close to crossing the border, but she managed to keep herself form crossing the border. That was good. He was a little nervous about Crevicelight being so determined to uncover his secret.
At the same time, Sunny really didn't want to reveal to a total stranger who wasn't even of Treeclan something he would never tell anyone. The only cat who knew who was sane, was Thistlefang. But he was Starry's best friend so... He sort of was a special case of sorts. Moon's whispering that Crevicelight would probably figure it out anyways were not helping matters.
He absentmindedly pawed at the ground. He didn't want to answer her.

Sunny didn't give an answer, but Crevicelight shook it off. Whatever it was, she was dying to know, bu she didn't want to force him to say or do anything she didn't want him to do. So she went over to a tree on her side of the border and leapt onto the shortest branch that she saw. 'Okay, now I just have to climb!' But Crevicelight didn't really know where to dig her claws into. It was way different. With boulders, there were different layers, different shapes. She was stumped with this attempt of hers. Crevicelight was not really high in the air yet, so she managed to jump down successfully. "How do you know where to go next?" she asked looking back at her tree. "Aren't you scared of falling too?"
