|| Mosspaw ||
Forestfox had remembered to wake up early. He wasn't thrilled to be training an apprentice, but it would be an experience. Maybe it'd even be better than he expected. Smoothing down his fur, he exited the warriors' den and headed over to the apprentices' den. It was still dark out, and a foggy mist hung low in the camp, so he wasn't entirely sure if Mosspaw would be up yet. Or maybe he would. Some cats enjoyed the morning.
He stood outside of the den to call for him. "Mosspaw, come on out."

Mosspaw's ears twitched when he heard his name called, and he sat slowly up in his nest with his eyes still closed. Blinking, he ran his tongue over his paw before smoothing out the short, but still disheveled fur on his head. Sleepily, he padded out of the apprentice's den, flinching a bit at the sunlight. Not wanting to keep his mentor waiting any longer, the gray-and-white tom-cat padded swiftly over to him. "G'mornin'," the apprentice mewed, his voice groggy and a little slurred from sleep. His ears twitched as he stifled a yawn.

Forestflx nodded in greeting when Mosspaw exited. "Hello. Go eat some breakfast if you're hungry. If not, we'll be on our way." He said, taking a glance at the prey heap. It wasn't too full, but there was enough to share if Mosspaw wanted food. 'Looks like we should probably go hunting today.'

Mosspaw stared at the fresh-kill pile for a few moments before shaking his head, "Nah, I'm not really hungry," he meowed, turning his attention away from the food and back towards his mentor, "can we just head out for training now?" His tail twitched excitedly as he glanced at the camp entrance, wondering what the outside of camp looked like.

Forestfox nodded and spun around, beginning to pad off. He wondered how the day would go. 'I have to make sure not to be like Hornetstripe. She was so bossy.' He glanced back at Mosspaw, wondering what he would think of him. 'Does he mind being trained by a young warrior?'
Eventually they reached their first border, RockClan. "This is RockClan. Their leader is Cloverstar, and they're all pretty strong. They hunt prey similar to us, though lizards are included." He faced Mosspaw. "Get a good sniff if you'd like. Any questions before we move on?"

Mosspaw followed eagerly after his mentor, his grassy-green eyes drinking in the territory. It's so big out here, he thought, feeling even smaller among the seemingly endless forest. He had to tilt his head all the way back to be able to see the few openings through the branches where the blue sky above was visible. The gray-and-white tom-cat's head snapped back to face Forestfox once he had begun speaking.
Gingerly, Mosspaw took a few steps closer to the RockClan border and gave a tentative sniff, his pink nose scrunching up at the strange scent of other cats. "Why do they smell so... funny?" he asked, backing away from the border and looking up at the older tom-cat.

"No idea. What's weird is that they think we smell bad." Forestfox gave the border a sniff before stepping back. He set off again with a flick of his tail, this time heading toward the FireClan border. It was quite a long walk, with the shade becoming less and less as they neared. He wondered if Mosspaw's paws were hurting.
Soon they arrived at the FireClan border. Forestfox stepped aside to allow his apprentice to get a good view. "This is FireClan. Their leader is Darkstar, and the cats there are really fast. They eat rabbits, although there are rumors that their leader feeds off of cats." He looked at Mosspaw, wondering if he had any questions.

Mosspaw quirked one of his pale gray ears in disbelief. "They think we smell bad?" he glanced over at the RockClan territory before looking decisively back at his mentor. "RockClan cats are weird." he concluded with a curt nod, ready to go explore a different part of the territory that wasn't so...rocky. His shifted his weight around on his paws, ready to get to softer soil.
The long-limbed apprentice's ears flattened to his head as Forestfox talked about the mysterious FireClan leader. She eats cats?! he thought worriedly, inching closer to his mentor as he watched the border warily. "D-Do you think she actually eats other cats?" Mosspaw questioned, wrapping his long tail around one of his back legs.

"I agree. Though I wouldn't say that to their faces." He responded, not wanting Mosspaw to go insulting every RockClanner he saw. There didn't need to be a battle over calling someone weird.
Forestfox cracked a smile at the tom's surprise. "It's certainly possible. The FireClanners will of course deny it, though you have to think about how that rumor started in the first place." He then started to head off again, now to their last border. He moved up a hill, then stopped at a ridge and pointed toward the mountains with his tail. "IceClan lives there. Their leader is Robinstar, and the cats there are good at climbing. They hunt fish, and it's pretty gross." He paused before continuing, "They aren't living there now, though, due to an avalanche. They'll probably move back soon."

Mosspaw stifled a whimper, wanting to run as far away from FireClan territory as possible as thoughts of a evil Darkstar munching on his flesh filled the young tom-cat's mind. He stuck close to Forestfox as the two headed away from the territory, glancing back every now-and-again to make sure they weren't being followed.
He finally relaxed a little when they made it to the IceClan border. He leaned his head towards the border and sniffed, finding their scent just as strange as the RockClanners. "They smell funny too... Must be the fish." he mewed, wrinkling his nose and pulling his head back. At least this scent wasn't as prominent though, most likely because there had been no IceClan patrols marking this border because of the avalanche. He much preferred the earthy TreeClan scent to these other weird clans. "Where are the IceClan cats living now?" Mosspaw questioned, wondering where they would be if not their own territory?

Forestfox nodded. "They smell the worst, in my opinion." He shrugged at Mosspaw's question. "I'm wondering the same thing. They probably haven't moved too far, though. I guess we'll just have to wait and see." He wasn't worried in the slightest. IceClan was an enemy clan after all, so why should he be?
He then turned to Mosspaw after a long pause. "Congrats, we've visited all of the borders. Now, would you like to begin hunting or battle training? We'll start the one you don't choose tomorrow."

Mosspaw nodded, knowing what his mentor said made sense. Still, he was a little worried about the IceClan cats. He knew he shouldn't worry himself sick over it though, after all IceClan cats were an enemy clan, right? He spent a few seconds looking over at the IceClan territory before turning his attention back to Forestfox, ready for whatever he had planned next.
The pale gray-and-white apprentice spent a few seconds debating what he wanted to learn first before making his desiscion. "Hunting," he meowed finally, with an eager smile. He wasn't all that keen to learn battle moves yet, since he wasn't the best when it came to conflict.
