((Gosh, I feel bad for Foxpaw XD Temper + Self-esteem issues = Biting his head off at every turn
Rosepaw huffed. "You're just backpedaling...." She grumbled, not appeased in any shape or form, lacking belief in the honesty of Foxpaw's amended statement. Then Foxpaw looked like he wanted to say something, but thought better of it. She huffed. "I'm guessing you're dealing with a lot of cats who seem mad at you." She stated. She thought it was pretty obvious, since Foxpaw seemed a little frustrated that Rosepaw kept getting offended... But it seemed like he wasn't just frustrated with Rosepaw, even though it was only the two of them at the border at the moment.

((My poor Fox-son, he's losing his innocence </3
Foxpaw didn't reply at first, he took a deep sigh. Maybe he was just backpedaling, trying to make somebody like him. His ears twitched. "Literally all of my littermates hate me. I make my first and only friend and then they're ready to kill me with opinions and anger. They're the reason I've been out here. I keep my anger to myself, unlike them." He grunted, a former spark of negative emotions budded inside him.
He simply ignored it.

((Well to be fair it's already happened to the rest of his litter. Stormy ran away to twolegplace, Hazel is very angry, Amber.... Just came back but I think she's insecure.... Not sure what's wrong with Frosted but I bet there's something!!
Rosepaw was not expecting the vent. Her eyes went shifty, not quite meeting Foxpaw's eyes. She sighed. "I guess if we're going to be sappy... I'm just kind of mad since it seems like no one believes I can make a good warrior." Her ears flattened. "... Yeah, I'm getting tired of this sappiness." She sighed. "Look. I snap at everyone, alright? I'm just mad at everyone. Don't take it personally."

((They seriously need to call a family therapist.
Foxpaw chuckled awkwardly, realizing how sappy he was being after Rosepaw's reply. "Umm... You'll show them when they're taking orders from you." He encouraged, smiling awkwardly. "And... Sorry again about that comment from earlier, I get desperate with positive judgement... I don't know, really."

((... I wonder if Firebird would work. I heard tales of her therapy powers.))
Rosepaw flattened her ears, though her expression seemed more awkward now. She often found herself in the throes of anger or irritation, but actual conversation was a bit... Difficult. She wasn't too great at it. "... Yeah. That's the plan." She replied quietly as she looked away. "And... I guess it's fine." She didn't really want to say it out loud, but sounded like she and Foxpaw both had their own issues. Maybe that meant it was okay to be hurting a little.

Foxpaw smiled faintly, nodding happily at the Treeclanner. He could tell she was uncomfortable, he made no note of it. He blinked and awkwardness filled the air. He decided to speak. "Um... Are you going to have an assessment soon? Sorry if I already asked that."

Rosepaw huffed. "You haven't." She replied, but her tone wasn't necessarily unkind. "But... I hope so. I don't really know, but I can hope that's the case." She squinted at Foxpaw. "What about you? You look the part, but...." Technically, Foxpaw could simply be big for his age, but she honestly, that wasn't really a good indicator.

Foxpaw chuckled, his smile growing stupid. "Well, when 'ya do, good luck!" He chirped. He then paused and lowered his ears. He stared at the ground for a second, lost in thought, and quickly looked back up at the other apprentice. "I don't know when... Eveningwhisper and I never have had a training session, and I'm too nervous to ask my siblings or any warrior I know. Plus, Hazelpaw has to get her warrior name before me, don't want her to be the last one..." He muttered, his ears twitched.

Rosepaw simply nodded in response to Foxpaw's chirping tone. Then he seemed to deflate. Again. Rosepaw almost wondered if this guy had an on and off switch that kept getting flipped. At least she was predictably mad pretty much all of the time. Her ear flicked. "Just ask someone. Don't think about it." She advised. "Thinking too much creates doubt." Then her ear flicked again, but with obvious annoyance. "Why does it matter that this 'Hazelpaw' becomes a warrior before you do?"

Foxpaw lowered his ears, forcing a small chuckle. He thought over Rosepaw's advice. He shifted his gaze away from the apprentice. "I-I guess... And for my sister, it's complicated. She wanted to be the first warrior in the litter, but she failed her assessment and my brother and other sister got their warrior names. She wanted to prove herself by being the first warrior of us, and I don't think being the last would help her... So I'm making a small sacrifice for her, it'll hopefully make her less angry... It'll be better." He murmured the last words. He had realized how long he was talking and he turned red with embarrassment.
"S-Sorry. I rambled."

Rosepaw frowned. She didn't have siblings so she didn't really understand al the way, but.... "That doesn't sound fair. Why should you sacrifice anything just because her pride is fragile?" She asked, lashing her tail. Yes, she herself wanted to prove herself... But she wasn't being as stupid as demanding to be ahead of her agemates. She'd become a warrior when she did and then she'd prove she was a better warrior than all of them, thus validating her existence. But this Hazelpaw kind of sounded like an idiot to her.
