@roselightning Snowpaw sat silently on the long tree branch belonging to an old oak tree. From here he had a good view of the IceClan and RockClan borders, it made him feel as if he was "guarding" the TreeClan territory while he took time away from training. Cold air filled his lungs as he breathed in, with the leaf-bare trees already loosing their foliage he only had his fluffy coat to protect him from the cold winds. The white tom blinked as something unusually cold and wet pricked his ear tips. Curious, he looked up to find small white flakes pricking his face. Snow, he thought with a sort of calm happiness. His pink nose twitched as a snowflake hit it, causing him to sneeze. He was too caught up in watching the snow fall to notice the cat walking underneath his branch.

Rosepaw was walking along, rather ruffled. Her fur was messy, some rubbed the wrong way, some not. Some of the Leaf-fall leaves were even clinging to her pelt, annoyingly enough. On top of that, it had begun snowing, so dots of snow were scattered throughout her fur. She had been practicing maneuvering in the trees. She could scale and descend trees fine now, but it was moving confidently amongst the branches that had been... Less than stellar. She wasn't too badly hurt, but she'd made a misstep and ended up slipping onto a lower branch. Luckily, she hadn't fallen to the ground. That might've been more serious.
However, in light of this... She figured maybe she should wander towards the shorter trees that lay around the edges of the territory. The tallest and greatest of trees lay in the heart of Treeclan territory, so she was walking towards a border.
Then she heard someone sneeze.
Her narrowed gaze shot upwards to see... A cat with a rather obvious pelt. Her ears flattened. "What are you staring at?!" She shouted, even if the cat wasn't even looking at her.

Snowpaw's ears flattened as he heard someone yell up at him. He continued staring at the snow for a few more seconds before looking down, spotting another TreeClan apprentice--although this one was much more disheveled than himself. "Looking at the snow," he called down, his tone frank and to the point. He had figured that would be obvious, it wasn't as if there was much else going on in the sky. Not wanting to have a conversation with another cat while he was still in the treetops Snowpaw leaped down, landing neatly on his paws. He looked over the she-cat once he had regained his composure, his nose wrinkling a bit at her disheveled appearance although he didn't comment on it; he had some manners after all. "Figured I'd take the time to enjoy it before it gets everywhere and I get sick of it."

Rosepaw was mildly irritated by the blunt answer. The other Treeclan apprentice then descended from the treetops, landing gracefully on his paws. He wrinkled his nose at her, likely at her appearance. Her ears folded back as her fur bristled. She couldn't think of anything to say. She decided to zero in on his behavior, rather than his statements. "And I suppose I look like a slob to you...?!" She asked in a rather demanding, abrasive tone.

The fluffy white fur on the apprentice's neck pricked at Rosepaw's tone; he didn't take too kindly to being ordered around, especially by someone his age, but he knew that he could've been a bit more pleasant, so the tom tried his best to keep his annoyance in check. "Well, I wouldn't have said it quite like that. But I'm sure you've had... better days, I guess," he let out a soft snort before looking over the she-cat once again, "frankly, it looks like you've had a tussle with a bramble bush," Snowpaw's ear tip flicked to the side.He shuffled his paws a bit before tipping his head to the side, "is there a reason for that?" It was his best attempt at offering to listen.

Rosepaw's fur was still bristling when the white-furred apprentice responded again. His attempt at trying to be nicer was ruined by the snort. Though, it wasn't even slightly approaching acceptable to Rosepaw in the first place. The second remark certainly negated anything that would've repaired this ruined first meeting.
She looked away. "I was practicing something. I messed up a little, that's all!" She shouted defensively, not even looking in Snowpaw's general direction. She was half expecting him to be mean about it... Like practically everyone else she'd met her age.
