Fallenstar wandered the territory aimlessly. His thoughts were a little busy. He was trying to figure a few things out that he wasn't yet familiar with. He knew IceClan's territory not very well but he knew there must be some prey. But he couldn't fixate an opinion on whether the lack of prey was because of the cold weather or if something had occurred around the territory while IceClan had been living in the barn. His first assumption was to jump to conclusions that other Clans might have been taking advantage of the Clan's absence in the territory. "I wonder.." He muttered and his mind trailed off as he walked through the territory lost in thought. Peachglow

Peachglow was having difficulty finding prey, something that she had never struggled with before. She liked to consider herself an adept hunter, so perhaps it was only because she was trying to hunt in a completely new territory in the middle of leaf-bare. Even so, she wanted to contribute to Iceclan; the queen refused to sit in the camp all day, eating prey and playing with kits.
The she-cat came to a stop as she came across a familiar face, Fallenstar. They were both new to Iceclan, and she was eternally grateful that he allowed her, a complete stranger, to join. "Fallenstar," Peachglow announced her presence, padding up to him. "I don't suppose you're having any better luck with hunting than I am?"

A voice chimed in and he turned his head to see Peachglow approaching. He gave a disappointed shake of his head. "I'm afraid not. I've been trying but IceClan's territory isn't exactly the best suited for prey this time of year. Not to mention that avalanche they faced likely scared of a big portion of prey." It'd been moons since the avalanche though, maybe this just seemed like a more difficult place to catch things than where he'd previously occupied.
"The barn seems more plentiful in comparison at this point but I'm bias to say so. I think I'm just not used to how little IceClan's territory has to offer." He'd considered moving IceClan further down the mountain to see if there'd be any luck but he was hesitant to present the idea to a Clan who'd just had to give up their territory for several moons.
"Maybe I'm just too new to this."

"I know how you feel." Peachglow didn't feel a lick of envy for Fallenstar. He was having to lead a clan who didn't know him all that well, in a territory he didn't know during the worst season. At least Peachglow could keep to herself, but he wasn't afforded that luxury, considering he was leader. "Have you tried fishing yet?" Peachglow had seen cats adding fish to the fresh-kill pile recently, it was possible that the rivers weren't as affected by the avalanche.
"..I would, but I don't exactly know how." Peachglow admitted, flicking her tail. She'd always gotten along just fine with hunting prey on land, and had never picked up the skill of fishing, though she was interested in learning, as it looked like it would come in handy.

"Glad to know someone does that's a relief." He was glad he wasn't on his own in regards to feeling out of place. It was frustrating and he was trying his best to make decisions that would benefit everyone but ht felt like there was a chance not everyone might agree with any decisions he made. There was always at least that one person who felt that way.
"We could move further down the mountain.. possibly less snow. But I feel like another move is risky and I'm not sure how highly the Clan would think of me after that. Moving after already helping reclaim back lost territory? Seems redundant or even questionable." He was a bit conflicted.
"Hah... That's a good idea. I don't feel like I'd excel at it but maybe it's worth a shot? If you want we could head to the river and give it a try if you're up to seeing me fail at fishing." The last bit almost sounded like he was trying to be humorous.

A bit of a smile crept onto Peachglow's face and she felt amusement for the first time in quite a bit, though she was certainly still quite a ways away from letting loose even a little. "As long as you're willing to see me try fishing for the first time." She responded playfully, serious in the regard that it would likely be a catastrophe at first. Peachglow didn't spend time around water unless she was drinking, and she'd never thought about hunting in it.
She wasn't exactly sure where the river was from here, not having had much time to memorize the territory's layout, and waited for Fallenstar to lead the way, her gold eyes bright.
"We can certainly head over to the outskirts of the territory and see if it's any more hospitable there, after we've finished at the river." Peachglow suggested gently, looking forward to the adventure.

"You bet. I can't go into it alone or I'll never be able to clear the embarrassment at least if we're both doing something we're unfamiliar with it's less humiliating." He seemed to for once have a small smile unlike his usual static expression. It was kind of hard to get him to change his expression.
Fallenstar had passed the river a couple of times, but he mostly knew where it was solely because he tried to avoid it for a while. "Should be this way." He gestured then took lead on bringing them there.
He nodded at her idea. "Sounds like a good plan to me. By the way. How's things been? Considering the whole mess with all of us just having traveled here?"

Peachglow thought that Fallenstar would look like a drowned rat if he were to get, which was even more amusing when considering that he was the Iceclan leader, and spent most of his time being serious. "I don't think you could ever live that down! You're lucky that I'm just as much a fish out of water here as you are." By the end of this, it seemed they would have plenty of embarrassing stories of each-other, though Peachglow would probably refrain from damaging Fallenstar's statute.
Hearing his next question, the she-cat hesitated, looking at the ground. "The journey was fine, or at least as fine as can be expected." She commented, padding after him, her tail waving.
"Adjusting to clan life, though.. That's another story."

"Fish out of water.. Was that a play on the situation?" He actually found that rather amusing and laughed quietly to himself before taking a look around the area. "That's the truth. We've got a lot of newcomers coincidentally. A lot of cats are seemingly finding it hard to adjust here."
The tom flicked his tail and continued his way towards the river, hoping he was actually heading the right way. "Hopefully my sense of direction isn't off.. I'm frankly not all that good with figuring out this territory."

"Mhmm, I'm glad you caught on." Peachglow smiled, feeling quite pleased with herself, before continuing to listen to what Fallenstar had to say. "Well, adjusting to clan life might be well worth it, but it certainly isn't easy." The queen felt sure that eventually, all of the newcomers would settle in, even herself, eventually.
She followed him, trying to take note of the scenery around her, and get more acquainted with Iceclan territory. "We have that in common." Peachglow said warmly, "I'm sure we'll find it, it's a river, it's a bit hard to miss." A giant snake of icy, rushing water would be hard to miss.
