The sky was shining today, it felt nice outside. It was a day Honeykit had never experienced until now. It had been bitterly cold for all the she-cat could remember.
The golden kit merely sat by the exit of the nursery with blank eyes, hypnotized by the blue sky. She couldn't even notice any cats around her.

Laurelkit had taken a post just outside the nursery and sat, watching the cats bustle around her. Although it was admitingly cooler in Iceclan than where she had been before joining, she never really noticed the cold. She did know it was worming up, but it didn't change her view on the wheather at all. She glanced around and noticed another cat. Her adoptive mother's daughhter she believed. "Hello," she said to the smaller kit. "You're Honeyit, right?"

The golden she-kit snapped back to reality and flinched back as she heard another kit's voice. She turned red in embarrassment at her reaction. "Um... Yes. Who might you be..?" She murmured quietly, lowering her ears. She recognized the kit from the nursery by her mother, but never learned their name.

"Laurelkit." she responded with a warm smile. "Your mother adopted me." she added.

Honeykit tilted her head, her expression shifting back to its usual distant stare. "Um... What is laurel..? I do like your name though." She smiled faintly, her ears twitching back up.

Laurel smiled. "A laurel is a type of flower. It doesn't grow in this region, but my family had a history outside the clan even before my dad left with me it seems," she responded.
