Anemonemist Redfern knew that the medicine cat had returned home from sharing with Cloudclan just a few days ago. She knew that working alone without another medicine cat or apprentice to help had to be difficult, and so she'd left Anemonemist in peace for a while to recover and do her work. Now though, she needed to talk to the medicine cat. It was more a case of curiosity rather than dire need, but Redfern was taking her new duties very seriously.
"Anemonemist, did Cloudclan have anything to share with you this half moon" She asked as she entered. Redfern was aware that Anemomemist wouldn't always want to, or be able to, share the messages from Cloudclan, but it was worth asking just in case.
- Gotta get the plot rolling c: -

ooooooo exciting :)
Her fur instantly spiked up the moment she heard someone enter the den, and Anemonemist was just about to shoot a frustrated growl to whoever decided to bother her today. Except when the voice spoke, and the medicine cat turned to realize it was the new deputy, Redfern. And right to the point, it seemed, as Redfern bluntly asked about the half-moon gathering Anemonemist had attended a few days ago.
She was regarding the deputy in a narrowed gaze, devoid of anything but thoughtfulness, as the healer considered if she should tell her or not. This was the deputy. Sure, Redfern certainly wasn't Cloverstar, who would have been told first thing about CloudClan's prophecy... when Anemonemist would have been ready to tell her....
But the warning had seemed important. Perhaps it was time to share her secrets.
Giving a soft sigh, the silvery-speckled healer gave her den a suspicious glance, as if expected some cat to be hiding out nearby. Then, she beckoned Redfern closer with a rushed sweep of her tail. Dusty eyes still narrowed, now showing a bit of concern, as the clear words spoken by the red warrior returned back to her.
"I was going to tell Cloverstar," she quickly countered, a blush of embarrassment seen in her red ears at being caught with hidden information. "...Eventually. But you'll do, I suppose...."
Taking a deep breath, Anemonemist began to speak. And though it was softer than a normal indoor tone, she made sure Redfern could hear her, not too happy at the idea of repeating herself.
"I was dreaming I was standing atop a high pillar, above the clouds. Around me is... a lake of stars. As I look around, another pillar rises, and there's a red cat on this one. I don't know who he is, so don't ask." Anemonemist paused, wondering how she should explain this. "...He told me a few things. They don't make much sense, but...."
"Even the most beautiful of flowers will die. Even the sturdiest of rocks, will someday fall." Her tone echoed with no emotion. Clear, and certain. The words were so easily remembered in her head, and repeated aloud for someone else to listen to. "I mean this for you, and for your Clan."
She kept out the odd 'my dear' part, obviously.
"Watch the water, and when the snow grows high and the rock wears low, you will know where to build your wall." Anemonemist fell into silence, waiting for Redfern's response.

For a moment Redfern wondered if Anemomemist really would turn her away. She was not leader of the clan, but she was all Rockclan had. Luckily Anemonemist began to speak again, and Redfern was too relieved to be offended. She listened in silence as the medicine cat spoke, carefully thinking over the words. Her mind caught on the red cat she spoke of, trying to remember any ginger cats that had lived in Rockclan. There had been a few she remembered, but clearly Anemonemist hadn't recognized him.
"Do you have any idea what it means?" She pressed, tail flicking with agitation. It sounded like a warning, but of what? "Snow....maybe he was speaking of leafbare? And this wall, is it literal? Why on earth would we need to build a wall...And where?"

Anemonemist gave Redfern a bewildered look. Did the deputy seriously think she had even the slightest idea of what all that nonsense could have meant? She was a healer, not a genius. The speckled she-cat didn't even have a clue to help with any suggestions. All she had were those words from the mysterious red cat. Anemonemist even questioned if the dream itself-- the pillar and starlight ocean --were of any importance. Although, she highly doubted that.
As Redfern continued, rambling her own thoughts aloud, Anemonemist provided a blank stare and her own frustrated lash of her tail. "Who knows?" she growled, not really wanting to aggravate Redfern too much. The healer turned away, going to check on her herb storage out of paranoia again. "We're not going to find our answers today, most likely. And maybe not even tomorrow. I'd suggest just paying attention to the weather, and trying not to panic the Clan."
Anemonemist paused in her walking, now peering back with narrowed eyes. "...Do you plan to tell the Clan? Or anyone else, for that matter?" she questioned softly.

Redfern tried not to show her exasperation with his easily Anemonemist turned away from Cloudclan's message. "Isn't it your job to know" She asked with a sigh. It was without malice, but the stress she was under came through in her voice. Whether they had a clear translation or not, the red tabby wasn't so keen to simply brush it aside.
She was still mumbling to herself, tail flicking thoughtfully. The only source of water they had in the clan was the waterfall they shared with Iceclan. Whether she was right or not, Redfern elected to put more patrols along the border just in case. "Not about the prophecy," she replied, sensing Anemonemist's concern. "But I will tell them to be on their guard." She stood, ready to leave now that her questions had been answered, or at least spoken. Redfern turned to leave, though paused midstep. "Have you considered taking on a new apprentice?"

Anemonemist had heard the stress in Redfern's voice, but as she could offer nothing to help, she did not reply. There was no point, in her dusty eyes.
As Redfern replied that no, she would not tell the Clan about the prophecy, Anemonemist could not help but breath a very audible sigh of relief. RockClan didn't need to know of such dangerous things. Not yet. The speckled healer turned away, refusing to allow the RockClan deputy to see any more worry through her expression. "Good." she muttered, about to bid Redfern farewell very briskly when the she-cat spoke first. And even offered a question about taking on an apprentice. She probably meant no offense in her words, but in all honesty, Anemonemist felt like she had just been scolded. "Why are you taking so long to give RockClan another medicine cat? Are you that stuck-up to believe you can protect the lives of an entire Clan on your own?"
"When the right cat comes along, I'll consider them." Anemonemist growled, keeping as much emotion out of her voice as physically possible. Although she could not help the soft bristling of her short fur. "For now, there is no one to even spare a glance to." Okay, that last bit seemed a little rude. But Anemonemist didn't know what else to say after that.
{ I'm sorry that this is a little overdue ^-^'
