A round ten thousand moons ago... Ravenpaw padded quietly down the halls of the palace, heading back to his personal den. He had just finished his fifth apprenticeship lesson, and they were slowly becoming worse and worse. The more he worked on his fighting skills, the more he became bored. However, he was excited that even now, he could tell he was better than he used to be. He could nearly beat his instructor already. When he padded past a flower vase on the wall, he gave it a narrowed eye glare, and smiled wickedly as it turned into a frog and hoped away. His powers were also becoming better, significantly better. That excited him more than anything else, plus his mother was the one who was teaching him. She was much more interesting than the blockhead that tried to teach him battle techniques. Raven stared at the ground, and watched as the gold beneath his paws began to crack and splinter into weblike lines. Slowly, the lines broke away and the gold fell into the darkness, breaking away into nothingness. Soon, the palace walls cracked as well, in loud, ear shattering bursts. They fell away, revealing a dark night sky beyond. Ravenpaw gave a slow blink, closing his eyes for a long moment, and when he opened them again, the walls and the floor were back in place, and the vase had ceased it's life as a frog. Even as an apprentice in training, he could do all of this. What chance did Graypaw have against him? Raven smiled, his brother would have difficulty proving that he was more worthy of the throne. It was a simple fact, he was more worthy than the gray furred tom. He continued his walk down the hall, letting his paws create soft, barely noticeable falls. He tried hard to make them silent, but he couldn't seem to distribute his weight correctly. That was something else he had to learn, how to be completely silent. Raven was sure that he could get it down quickly though, at least he hoped he could. If he couldn't, he wouldn't be able to sneak up on his older brother, or his younger sister. At the thought of them, he perked his ears and looked over his shoulder, making sure that no sibling was tracking him down. Siblings could be creepy like that, though Raven would be happy to see them both. He was growing more bored by the second, and wished to see their shinning blue eyes around any corner. They could discuss training together, or what pranks to pull on their friends. In any case, three was always better than one. Ravenpaw turned the next bend, picking up his pace. He looked up and down the halls for any sign of Willowpaw or Graypaw. Willow had only recently become an apprentice, and Raven was excited to ask her how her training had gone. If he was her, he would have lots to tell. Well, he basically was her, since he had his own training, which was both exciting and boring at the same time. Raven paused in the hallway, wondering if he should try another illusion. His instructor had said that he was an Illusion Manipulator, whatever that meant. He was told that he would only get stronger, being able to create, shape, and manipulate illusions, making them so strong that targets can see, hear, touch, smell and taste things which do not actually exist. Raven found this to be pretty exciting, and wanted to tell his siblings. Again, he rounded another corner and nearly ran into a pillar. He frowned at it and walked around it, only to see that he had walked into the feasting halls. He had been heading toward his den, though he had gotten pretty distracted and gone the wrong way. From across the room, he spotted a gray tail, and smiled evilly. Maybe his sister was there to, watching, and so he could impress them both with is abilities. He began by making the roof crumble away into stars. That was really all he could do at the moment, and make objects turn into animals, but it was still cool. (( @thor and Calista ))

graypaw flinched as willowpaw sang a cracked note, the only mistake in her usually flawless singing. gray had requested her voice, always happy to hear the pleasant voice the gods had blessed his family with.
although he enjoyed her singing, a frown filled his face as his thoughts drifted away to his training session not too long ago. not his trainer for fighting and technique, whom he greatly liked and agreed with his teachings, but the one who was dedicated to his, powers.
it was recently discovered that he could control the weather. more specifically, thunder, wind, and rain. it was an odd power, one he wasn't too fond of. he couldn't quite control it yet, and ended up soaking himself twice whilst trying to summon a light drizzle. his rage had gotten the best of him, and he ended up blowing his instructor straight off a cliff. good thing it wasn't a long fall? he definitely got in trouble for that one.
He looked up at the ceiling in frustration and worry, suddenly confused at the shining stars above him. he was certain he couldn't control that.
it was beautiful, the shining stars stark against a midnight velvet sky. he looked at willowpaw, wondering if she too, could see the same beauty.

Willowpaw was slightly distracted as she sang, so it was no surprise she had hit a rough note. She had been told that she took after the god Tīwaz, but she believed herself to be less like him and more like Mímir. Tīwaz was known for his wisdom, sure, but also his courage. Surely that didn't fit her. If she were in a battle, well... She wouldn't know because she had never been in a battle. Then, Mímir was more simply known for his knoledge. For being a good adviser... which she felt more described her. Then again, she wasn't the best at judging herself. Perhaps only time would tell if they were right. Well, time and figuring out what her powers were, or if she even had any. Then again, she could take after Bragi, or maybe even Óðr. That would be fun, to take after them in the field of music. Or, maybe she'd take after Eir and be a good healer!
Before she could think of another power already proven to exsist that she could have, Willow was distracted by a huge while in the ceiling and traced the cause back to Raven. That was one thing she had an affinity for, though it wasn't really a power, just a sense. "Hi Raven," she greeted across the room with a smile.

R avenpaw began padding towards his siblings, a smile on his face. He hadn't heard Willowpaw singing moments before. He noticed that he hadn't heard her sing in a while, and wondered how good she was getting. He was quite overjoyed at the sight of them, and gave an immediate response back. "What are you guys doing?" Raven then went on to fix the illusion he had created. He looked up at the ceiling and stared hard at it, slowly bringing the crumbled bits of stone back together to form a roof. Finally, the cracks fit back together and sealed with a bright light, and he brought his head back down to give them both a smile. "I think training has been going well, don't you?" He wanted to show them more, but he would eventually have his chance. Raven wanted to hear what they had to say about their days.

gray immediately felt his cheeks warm, glad that he had fur to cover his embarrassment. of course it would be raven, he thought, watching as his brother walked up to them.
"nothing, and no." he said, rolling his eyes. "but, I did blow my instructor crazy, literally." he winked, a gleam in his eyes.
((hmm... sorry writing sucks))

Willowpaw shook her head at Greypaw. "Remember, you need to learn, not just destroy every mentor you have." she turned to Raven "That goes for you too ya know. Try to help them teach you. Having us in particular is already enough trouble for them."

R avenpaw gave his brother a smile that said 'i would do the same,' before turning his attention to Willowpaw. "They're all so boring though, like, can't they have a little fun?" he asked, holding his black paw in front of his face. He instantly added, "Mother is an exception." Then he placed his paw back down and sprung to his paws. "Do you guys want to see all I've learned?" The smile on his face grew, and he was eager to show them everything he could do so far. Maybe, while he was at it, he would learn something new that he could do that he hadn't known about.

grey lowered his head at Willow's scolding, then smiled wickedly at ravens' look.
"entertain me, brother." gray winked at him. ((Sorry for shortness))

Willow sighed and shook her head, but stepped back once again. She had the feeling that there was something off about Raven's birth, but she wasn't yet sure what. Her fathers relationship with him just seemed off. Then again, maybe that was just because he favored Grey more than anyone else. He was great at expressing his feelings, even if he didn't realize it. He commonly came off as cross with her because he didn't be like how she acted. Who cared though, no matter how many lessons she took, she would never act like a proper lady. And she had been taking them since she was born. She sat down and flicked her tail to allow Raven to continue though she knew her opinion wouldn't have effected his choice to or not to share in the end. They were boys. They never listened.

R aven nodded and decided to try something he hadn't yet. He had seen himself many times, in the golden walls of their home. He imagined himself, every little small black hair from his face to his tail, and his bright, glowing green eyes. He imagined his ears, and his long legs and long tail, and the way it swished in the sunlight. Then, he took a step back, and it looked as if he was stepping out of himself. He stood there, well, his shell stood there, staring forward into blankness. It was just an illusion, a clone of himself, and he had no idea how to move it, but it looked so real. He circled halfway around it and stared into it's face, before looking back at Willowpaw and Graypaw with a triumphant expression.

graypaw stood up, quickly walking towards his brother and his clone. he stared impressed, jealous his brother was able to control his powers so quickly. "show off," he mumbled at ravenpaw, with a smile.
the black cat, well, the other black cat; was the perfect doppelganger of ravenpaw. the same dark fur, glowing eyes, long tail, everything. he could swear there was even a cocky gleam in it's eyes.
he looked back towards willowpaw, waiting her reaction.

Willowpaw narrowed her eyes slightly. She would have been willing to sit back and not give an opinion, but every other time one of her brothers showed off, that was how she acted. Why not mix it up a little? She stood up and walked straight for the clone, seeing what would happen if she walked directly through it.

I t took lots of energy for Ravenpaw to keep the clone going, and when Willowpaw walked through it, he quenched his jaw and closed his eyes as if it hurt. He couldn't seem to hold the imagine, so he took an unsteady step back, and the clone exported into a green tinted mist. The imagine wasn't stable enough for Willowpaw to step through much of it, but she had gone through its head. "Well," Raven shrugged with a smile. "That was interesting. I didn't know I could do that." He really hadn't known he could do anything like that. All his mother had taught him to do was turn objects into animals, and take apart the castle walls. He could do those fairly well, but it was hard to hold the image for long. It was also very tiring. (( doppelgänger XD. been watching the flash? ))

graypaw watched as the figure faded, willowpaw now in its place. he took this as his opportunity, to do what he wasn't really sure he could do.
he stepped in the middle of his siblings, shutting his eyes to concentrate. he imagined the perfect storm, piecing together the few he had witnessed to create his own.
Soon, lightning erupted, a brilliant shock of white in the sky; the thunderous boom calling its warning a second later. Violent wind began pulling at his fur, so harsh he lowered himself to the ground, struggling to stay put.
Everything loose in the feasting hall flew, crashing against the pillars and splattering on the floor. The world was shaking, or at least Asgard was, and he was glad their powers were being shown off inside instead of out.
The loud rain that followed brought him back to the storm, a steady patter sounding.
The storm had started off weak, and he could feel himself loosing control as the force escalated.

Willowpaw tilted her head slightly as the image faded into a mist, then she turned as Grey started up a storm. Based on the effort it seemed to take and what she already knew, she could tell he had no clue what he was doing. "Greypaw." she warned, though her voice was probably to soft to be heard over the wind. In training her mom had said she had magic to, but those typically sent to sense what type said she was just a void. That proved she had power, humans had a small light of it, but no one really knew what. So why did her brothers both have such perfect control? Her attention was brought back to the storm and she watched her brother for other signs of loosing control. (She's calm. Her power is new; she undoes magic when it gets to out of hand. Maybe. That also fits for being able to locate the used.)
