SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY (( @thor and Calista )) The day had come when Ravenpaw and Graypaw were to become warriors, and it was all Raven could think about from the moment he awoke that morning. He didn't feel like an apprentice anymore, nor did he act like one, so he was excited to finally recieve his warrior name and be called a true citizen. When Raven woke up, he insteadly went to the balcony to watch the sunrise, but for some reason, the weather had decided to be queer. Steam rose from the ocean. Raven guessed it was a cold night, and so when the sun hit it, steam began to rise. He wasn't sure if he was correct, but he didn't really care, since he was worried about the strange fog it created, masking the beautiful sunrise. Without thinking, he created an illusion and pushed the fog away. No more steam rose from the ocean after. This a satisfied glance, Raven turned back to his rooms and began getting ready, though there wasn't much to do in his case. He simply created a lasting illusion on himself, which smoothed his fur and made it shiny and placed his ceremonial necklace on his neck. It was a golden band, nothing more. Raven had had practice with lasting illusions ever since he failed his brother moons ago. The day after that, he had went to his mother asking if he could make long illusions that he didn't have to keep thinking about, and she had told him about lasting illusions. They were illusions that the creator made real, being placed permanently on an object or thing until the creator took it away. Raven found them amazing, and had done one everyday since then to keep his ability in check. Padding from his rooms, Raven instantly went to his siblings'. Graypaw's room was a little bit closer, but barely, since Willowpaw's was across the hall. Raven had trouble deciding on which to go to first, so he made one duplicate of himself and went to both doors, knocking. He waited for them to appear. (( he has very handy abilities ))

(Yeah he does. To bad Willow can see through them.) Willowpaw had been an apprentice for a while, and had descovered that her power was to remove power, but she hadn't shared it with anyone. Even her brothers. She and her mother had deemed that the best choice until she had full control over the power. She had also developed the power to tell when someone was lying, which they had decided was linked to her magic seeing illusions and reading them, the shifting from just magic lies to physical lies that cats told. She couldn't tell unless she was actively trying though. Nonetheless, when Raven's illusion came to her room, and she had been up and ready hours ago, even managing to sneak in some practice regaurdless of Shadowstrike's protests. She knew Raven didn't like her hanging out with him though, and had given enough time for the scent to fade. Opening the door, she simply shook her head at the illusion and walked to where the acctual Ravenpaw stood wat Greypaw's door. "You ready for the big day?" she asked with a grin.

[[cringey post sorry]]It was finally the day where Graypaw and Ravenpaw were to become warriors, after so many moons of training and practice. No longer were they young, immature apprentices; but cats advanced in their training and ready to recieve their warrior names. He'd been itching for the ceremony all week, and was tossing and turning all last night, but he needn't wait anymore.
When Graypaw woke up that morning, everyone was busy and bustling oustide his rooms. Well, it was to be expected, especially since it was the two princes ceremonies that day. Before cleaning up, Graypaw had eaten a small bird, for his hunger was replaced with excitement and nervousness. The knock at his door only made his spirits soar higher. "Raven!" Graypaw grinned as his brother appeared before him, looking sharp as usual. His sister was beside him, and he nuzzled her before looking back at Raven. "Ready?"

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Ravenpaw turned when he heard Willowpaw coming toward him, stepping right through his illusion. The illusion's gaze followed Willow with puppy eyes, then floated away into the wind. The real Ravenpaw smiled at his sister, excited for the day. "I couldn't be more ready for any day."
His gaze swept back to Graypaw's rooms as he heard his older brother coming. His smile cane with his gaze. Any rivalry between the two was forgotten this day, and Ravenpaw only felt his own joy. At Gray's question, he gave a mischievous grin and shot back, "Are you?" Glancing at the tom, he squinted his eyes slightly. "Would you like me to fix your pelt?"

Willowpaw watched the two cats, stopping herself from laughing at the question. Everyone knew that Thor wasn't exsactly receptive to help, but perhaps that day would be different. (Sorry, so short.)

Graypaw frowned, but nodded nonetheless. It was to be a grand day, the least Gray could do was look presentable.
"Thanks Loki." Graypaw said, calling his brother by his nickname. It didn't really fit Raven much in the prince's opinion, neither did Thor for himself; but he still liked the nicknames. As the three walked from his room, he couldn't help but think of all they've been through together. Graypaw and Ravenpaw were tall and muscular, handsomer than ever before. And although Willowpaw wasn't yet to become a warrior, she'd grown from the younger cat she once was too, now wise and beautiful like mother.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Raven smiled as they all fell into step together, heading to where the ceremony was to be held. Raven, glad he could practice a lasting illusion one more time, thought about the time he'd seen Graypaw looking best, which wasn't too long ago. Most the time, the warrior didn't care what he looked like, as long as he was fighting someone.
Ravenpaw twirled a claw around his brother's head, then set it down to continue walking. A slow, green mist twisted its way through Gray's paws, seeping through fur and making it flatten down. When it was done, it disappeared like the illusion had. "How's that?" Raven asked with a genuine smile, eyeballing his work. Gray looked nicer than before, but one could say he now looked... off. Raven turned to Willowpaw with a slightly amused glance.
(( off to my track meet now D: ))

Willowpaw rolled her eyes at Ravenpaw's use of magic, which left her seeing two versions of Greypaw at once, one perfectly groomed and one still having his typical messy fur. She shut off the one where he had normal fur. It was harder than just letting herself be tricked by the illusion, but she needed the practice. Turning her attention away, her gaze was brought to the window, where the weather had changed to. "I see you've been practicing," she said, motioning to the sky. "Not that you, or Grey for that matter, need it."

Graypaw laughed as he saw a reflection of his look in the window Willow looked through, aising an eyebrow at a cat that didn't really feel like him. "It's... gonna do for the ceremony, thanks. Mom would be mad if i showed up a mess." Graypaw looked towards his sister with a cocky smile, quickly deciding anything he'd say might get them into a fight.
They finally came across the tall, wide golden doors where the brothers were to become warriors. He could already hear the gathering cats inside the room, could already imagine his mother and father on their thrones, and his friends in the crowd. Nervousness, anxiety, and proudness were only few things he was feeling, as he turned towards Willow. "You should take your seat by mom and dad, before it begins."

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Raven followed beside his brother, and cast an encouraging glance toward his sister as Graypaw told her something. Raven waited for where Gray would go, not really knowing what to do. There was a fairly empty place to stand near the thrones, so Ravenpaw took a step toward it, and looked to his brother to see if he was doing the same.

"Nope," she said to Greypaw, "Since I am the eldest born available, I have to state the welcoming speech," she said, loud enough for Ravenpaw to here to. "Don't worry though, its gonna be a great speech. I'm gonna mention how you changed the weather this morning." she said, waiting for their responses before she made her way up to the right spot to open the ceremony.

"Good luck." He replied before she went off. Gray stood exactly in front of the doors now, his brother besides him, waiting for Willowpaw to present them. Everyone knew Gray loved the spotlight, it was nothing new to him. The apprentice motioned towards his brother to copy his stance, and wait to hear their names called to enter.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Ravenpaw watched as Willowpaw took her place in front of the crowd. Their family was born in the spotlight, so Willow's unwavering voice didn't surprise the dark tom. He stood elegantly beside his brother, who was trying to look superior and strong, which wasn't exactly a stance Raven could sport as well as Graypaw. So he stood up a little straighter, if thats even possible, and leaned to whisper something quietly to his older brother. "I'll never let it drop if you get a name like Graycloud, or Grayfeather."

Willowpaw approached the stage with her back straight and head held high, taking a spot in the center of the stage before she began speaking. "Welcome everyone," she said, smiling as she refused to give in to any stage freight, "Today is a very special day, one where we get to honor two very important apprentices and welcome them into the ranks of warriors. The honor is one that have each recieved through physical and magical training." she said, grinning as she turned to Grey and Raven way in the back. "Greypaw, Ravenpaw. May you please step forwards?" she asked, speaking while they made their way up to the stage without bothering to see if they were acctually approaching as she turned back to the crows. "Greypaw has been able to master a great many Storms, and Ravenpaw has such thorough control of illusions that he managed to change the weather for this joyas day. In physical training, need it he said? These two are the best, at least among the apprentices," she said, taking a step back. "I believe all of you will agree when we say it is time for them to be warriors, so without further ado, I was allow my parents to start the ceremony." she said, stepping back, behind her mom and dad for a few minutes and looking down, not meeting anyone's eyes. It was a horrible speech, but she would bet she'd have time to apologize for that later.

[[sucky post ew and tiki does the beginning not remind you of that deleted scene where Loki says to Thor 'give us a kiss'?!?!? Aww that was so cute.]]"Stop it." Graypaw laughed and then snorted, nudging Ravenpaw in a playful manner. His brother always knew how to lighten the mood. And his sister was quite a speaker, she knew how to grab the crowds attention.
When their names were called out, and the doors opened; the smiling crowd began to chant and music surrounded him, making him feel as if he were walking on the clouds. Graypaw confidently strode towards the thrones against the wall, where his family stood; father at the front of the stairs and mother and Willow behind him on either side. The prince eyed his father directly all the way down, with a cocky smile; until he and Raven reached the foot of the stairs. He lowered onto one paw and bowed low, and when he raised his head again he winked at father, who in turn rolled his eyes.
