"Okay, so.." Fennelkit searched around the nursery for a moment, placing a twig on one side of the nursery.
"You're going to bat the moss to me, then I bat it back. That nest over there, if the moss ball lands past it," he gestured to a nest next to Lostkit's, "I win a round. If you bat the ball past this stick, then you win the round. Does that sound good?"

Lostkit listened carefully to the new instructions, and nodded her head to let him know that she got it. "There will be no way I would let you win this game." she playfully growled at him. Her different colored eyes gleaming with happiness.

"I bet I can prove you wrong!" he replied, just as playfully, crouching in preparation for her to toss the ball, watching.

Lostkit let out a giggle at his playful reply. "You're on Fennelkit!" she said excitedly. The fluffy white kitten tossed the ball of moss with her paw into the air and then batted it towards he newly made friend.

The moment it came towards the golden tabby he leapt forward, preforming a belly flop directly in front of the ball, one of his extended forepaws hitting the ball and sending it tumbling back over to the fluffy she-kit.
He obviously wasn't injured, seeing as he quickly stood back up and braced for the ball to come his way again.

Lostkit busted out in a fit of giggles at how he stopped the moss ball from passing him. She was to busy with her laughs to even attempt at trying to stop the flying ball of moss that buzzed by. She shook her head still laughing and quickly retrieved the ball. "I'll give you that point Fennelkit." she purred before tossing up to continue the game.

"Aww, but it was my fault you couldn't hit it back-" he cut off his mew to swiftly bat it back at her, "What about just giving me a half-point?"

If only Fennelkit was quicker. Fennelkit merely watched it whiz past him. "One point for you."
He scooped up the moss ball and flicked it over to her, very high.
Until the moss back brushed against the ceiling and caught in the brambles.
Fennelkit stared up at the caught ball for ten seconds, a blank expression on his face.

She let out a happy squeal as it went past him. She waited hot him to get the ball to hit it back. She noticed that it was high and she tried to leap up for it. To her dismay she failed, and frowned up at the ceiling that had taken their moss ball. "I guess it was a tie game." she shrugged her shoulders. Her eyes still looking up. "So Fennel what else is there to do in the clan?" she asked him, looking over at him with a smile.

"Oh, uh.." Fennelkit snapped his gaze away from the moss ball, "Yeah."
When she asked about other things, he stared back up at the ceiling, trying to think.
"Well, I don't think I'm the best kit to ask that. I'm not very ad...adventurous, but.. I know you can go outside and ask the elders for a story, and you... can pretend to be Treeclan and Fireclan, or some other clan besides Treeclan, and then pretend to have a battle, but I don't like battling..."

Lostkit nodded her head to show that she was listening. Why don't you like to battle?" she asked him tilting her white head to the side. She wasn't going to play that game then if he didn't want to. This was the first kit she has talked to and she was hoping to become close friends with him.
"Anyways have you heard any stories then?" she asked really not wanting to speak to older cats. Rainlight told her they might treat her differently.

[ whoa they're almost apprentices already ]
"I guess I think fighting is... Sort of mean? But I know it's important. But other cats can do that! What if I killed someone and their family hated me?" Fennelkit shook his head, clearing the thoughts.
"Oh, no, sorry. I don't talk to the elders. Not yet! Maybe soon. I could make up a story, though."

(Ikr I can't believe it)
"You're not wrong about that. Fighting isn't that nice but it is what protects our clan is what I have heard." she said looking at him with her different colored eyes. "Don't worry about that though if it ever comes down to that I will fight beside you." she tod him. That way if he ever did have to take someone's life she could take the fall and not him, he was to nice of a cat to be hated by anyone.
"Yeah tell me a story!" she said excitedly. The white kitten quickly laid down onto her belly with her paws stretched out in front of her. "What will it be about?" she asked with a purr, as she laid her head down onto her paws. Her tail twitched with excitement. This would be her first story she would remember.

"Oh, um..." Racking his brain for an idea, he came up with a story about a cat who wanted to be a warrior.
"Okay, so once there was a cat, and it had... Whatever features you want it to have. And it wanted to be a clan cat, just like us. But... they were.. a loner..? So the cats didn't like them all that much. The clanners, I mean."
Continuing on with his story, he told of how the loner eventually ended up coming up with a brilliant idea to save one of the clans and was thus allowed to become a warrior named Sunleap.
He looked at Lostkit when he'd finished, worried he'd put her to sleep with a boring story.
