LokiCalista ran through the Canyon with a grin, not really knowing that Loki would be there until she saw him. She hadn't been avoiding him lately, but, well fine, she had been avoiding him. That's why she was in the Canyon in the first place. She had only really seen Loki in the fields and figured he wouldn't be there. Turning and hoping that he hadn't spotted her, she walked in the opposite direction, sticking to the shadows she had already been in.

THEY CALL ME god of MISCHIEf, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID Loki had been in the canyon. It was an enjoyable spot, but it reminded him of both Thor and Squirrelbite, two cats who'd just up and disappeared on him. He assumed Squirrelbite followed her own ambitions, but Thor. He sighed, whatever happened to Thor couldnn't of been good. He felt disconnected, empty, like he'd never felt before.
He stood in the canyon before Thor's old cave, a beautiful area, but Loki couldn't bring himself to enter it. His sharp ears flicked, picking up the faint sound of pawsteps. Yet, they were growing louder, fast. He turned his head just to see Calista leap into the shadows, heading the opposite direction, her white fur standing out.
Loki stood. Yes, they had been on bad terms last time they met, but that felt like ages ago. Loki followed her, also sticking to the shadows. His black fur blended in well, and he made sure to silence his paws. Finally, he called out, "Calista," and was surprised to ear it echo all about the canyon.

Calista knew she was being followed, she was the best fracker where they had come from, but she had desperately hoped it was some srange cat planning on surprise attack her rather than her brother. When he spoke her name, the small part of her that had known it was him kept her from freezing all together. She turned on her heel and gave her brother a small smile, not letting the internal ache into her face. "Loki," she responded, her voice meraculously even.

THEY CALL ME god of MISCHIEf, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID "You do not have to pretend like you don't want to see me," Loki started, stepping from the shadows. "I can see it in your eyes. But we're both going through the same thing here. Our brother is never returning, you and I both know. Why run from me, Cali?"

Calista shook her head. "Because I don't. I act like I don't want to see you because I don't. I am a selfish, selfish cat, and I don't want to face what I did. Seeing you is facing what I did," she said, fully prepared for when he showed how upset he was, which she was sure would happen at any moment. She had caused Thor to leave. Loki had shown that he could forgive a lot, but this? This was beyond that.

THEY CALL ME god of MISCHIEf, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID Loki closed his eyes and breathed a sigh, before opening them again and staring right into his younger sister's eyes. "This was not your fault. If anyone, it was my doing. I pushed him to go with me, and you continued to warn us about the consequences." That was true, she had tried to stop them both multiple times.

Calista's eyes widened. "Wait, you went back?" she asked, completely shocked, or, at least, trying to be, "How could you? I warned you not to and then you..." she sighed and gave up, "Its not even worth being mad at you, it's my fault."

THEY CALL ME god of MISCHIEf, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID Loki shifted on his paws. He wished for all his being to be back on Asgard. He knew not of what was happening there now, but when he last left, the kingdom had been in ruins, a false king creating mayhem in the heart of the greatest city that ever lived. He could not protect it, he had fallen, he was useless. He'd always been afraid of being useless, and now that he was, he felt like a melee worm. "We're both to blame."

Calista shook her head. "I don't want you to believe that, so don't. I long deserve blame, whether or not the blame I get belongs to me or someone else."

THEY CALL ME god of MISCHIEf, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID Loki flipped his long tail behind him, gazing at her half-doubtfully. "You seem to always want to take the blame for yourself, as if I could never burden something on my shoulders." He then leaned down quite close to her face and stared into her blue eyes, his own green ones blazing, "Stop. You can't carry it alone."

Calista chuckled. "My do you have our roles mixed up. I don't care if you take blame for something you did. I blame you for going back to Asgaurd after my many warnings. You have no reason to blame yourself now though. It is completely on me that we all are here in the first place, and it's on me that he left. You are the one trying not to let me take the blame I deserve and it's maddening. I know it's my fault and I know everyone needs to accept that so we can lay go, but you won't. You insist on saying you had a part in Thor's leaving. You insist on protecting me from some guilt and a few tough times, and I don't know why. I don't get it." she said, more emotion than she thought she had left in her filling her words.

THEY CALL ME god of MISCHIEf, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID Something left Loki in that moment, as if he completely stopped caring about everything in the world. The good light of his eyes left, and they became duller in their shine, but brighter in their glow. "Take it, then. It seems I had no part of it, and I shouldn't stop you from taking what is yours." It felt odd, to not care anymore, but a dreadful weight seemed to leave his heart. He knew he would start caring again, someday maybe, but it was always said the ones who cared too much, now do not care enough. He cared too much, so he left it behind.

Calista blinked, slightly shocked at Loki's quite noticeable change, but also having had changed enough herself that she just didnt care. She would care if she had hurt him, sure, but that wasn't what had happened. She knew very well the difference between shutting down emotions and covering hurt with stone-coldness. After all, wasn't that the line she had been walking on for the past few moons? She quickly got herself together and nodded. "Thank you." she said honestly, feeling the weight of the guilt transferred to her, and pushing away into the section deep behind the mental shields she had developed and hardened over the past moons, deep inside her where it wasn't visible to anyone. "See," she said after a moment, "I can take it."

THEY CALL ME god of MISCHIEf, AND YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID Loki shifted on his feet, casting a half eye roll to the canyon wall, before looking back to her with a straight line of a mouth. "Yep, look at that. Seems you didn't need my help at all."

Calista shook her head. "I've never been the one needing help, at least, not when someone else is around that will help."
