(( for Shadowpaw )) He was still exploring the territory, there was so much to go over, so much to remember. Luckily enough for Wrenpaw his sense of direction was great and he never had a hard time finding his way back to camp after his days of exploration. Today's travels had brought him to an area near the Iceclan border, well, right on the Iceclan border. In fact, the scent line was odd, it curved this way and that; around the trees and boulders like neither clan really knew where to leave markers. "That's peculiar." He mumbled to himself, making sure to stay a good fox length away from either scent. Although to his surprise he caught a flash of movement from the opposite side of the scent line. Hmm, well if there was to be a day he encountered an Iceclan cat, he figured today wouldn't be too bad. "Hello?" He mewed, hoping it was either another curious apprentice like himself or a warrior who didn't want to shred his pelt. He didn't have any scars of yet and wasn't looking to get any anytime soon.

"NELLA FANTASIA IO VEDO UN MONDO GUISTO" Shadowpaw was exploring the territory on her own, just aimlessly wandering. She came to the TreeClan border, and soon heard a hello from the other side. She padded up to the border to see who it was, keeping some space, standing behind one of the closest trees to the border. Greetings, she answered, keeping behind the tree. Her mind was thinking of all the different escape routes as she awaited an answer.

If his eyes were correct, there was indeed another apprentice; only this one was peeking out from behind a tree. Possibly even more weary than he had been about getting his pelt shredded. "I don't bite... much." He mewed, trying to lighten the mood a bit and to make eye contact with the other feline. As far as he could tell the other cat's eyes were blue, and from the sound of the 'greetings' that was in response to his initial 'hello' Wrenpaw figured he was dealing with a she-cat.
The light-brown tabby sat down where he was along the border, wrapping his tail around his paws and continuing. "Really, I couldn't hurt a fly."

"NELLA FANTASIA IO VEDO UN MONDO GUISTO" Shadowpaw peeked her blue eyes out further, and slowly approached the border. She studied the tom before her, and came to a conclusion that he was not much of a threat if they both stayed on their own sides, at least until she knew for sure he was friendly. She sat on her side of the border, head and ears high, in her natural statue-like posture, and continued studying him, getting used to him to make sure she will be able to recognize him.

(( i am so sorry for the long response time college has been kicking my butt ))
Well, there was one thing Wrenpaw could immediately conclude from this feline. That being that she was not at all much of a talker. Which was perfectly fine, Wrenpaw hadn't ever been the greatest at communicating either. But after a good amount of silence the brown tabby finally decided to break it.
"Uh, so, hi... I'm Wrenpaw... of Tree-c-clan obviously." He mewed, adding a bit of a laugh to round out his sentence and make the situation seem a little more at ease. "A-and you are?"
Anxiously Wrenpaw then took a seat as he awaited a response, glancing from his paws then back up to the she-cat again.

"NELLA FANTASIA IO VEDO UN MONDO GUISTO" Shadowpaw, she replied. IceClan. She tried her best to be friendly, but studied him still and looked past him to the territory beyond, wondering why she wasn't supposed to cross the border. Would they really start a war over some curiosity? She never did understand the customs of her adopted Clan and their counterparts.
((same, it's fine lol))

Wrenpaw nodded quickly, happy that there was a least a tiny bit of conversation going now. Her name was Shadowpaw, an apprentice much like himself; just from the other side of the border.
"Iceclan hmm?" He mewed, also trying to sound as friendly as possible. The vibes he was getting from this she-cat were quite confusing and he really wasn't sure if she was comfortable at all. "Is it cold up there or? Why's it called Iceclan?" The tabby tom was now set on conversation, he had always been a curious little nerd.

"NELLA FANTASIA IO VEDO UN MONDO GUISTO" Shadowpaw thought a moment. I really don't know, I've only been adopted around Newleaf as they called it. It might snow here more than in other areas... She laid her tail delicately across her paws and watched their surroundings for any signs of threats that may never come.

So Shadowpaw wasn't clan born, which didn't matter to Wrenpaw but it was interesting to hear that other clans also accepted outsiders. He wanted to inquire more about her origins, but decided that was too personal for a first-time conversation, especially because she seemed nervous enough as it was. Instead he figured he would ask her how she liked clan life, it wasn't too touchy, and might even lead the conversation to her origins. "So, being a part of a clan must be different than what you were originally used to. Would you say like it more or less?"

"NELLA FANTASIA IO VEDO UN MONDO GUISTO" Shadowpaw shrugged slightly, looking down. I could not choose. Clan life seems too involved, everyone seems so entitled to be taken care of by everyone else. Sure, it may be better than being all alone, but at least if I was alone I would be able to eat what I catch, believe what I believe, and not be required to take care of others that I may not like... She spaced out for a moment, staring at the ground in front of her paws. Her tail tip twitched and she shot her gaze back to Wrenpaw. Plus, I would be free to go wherever I want and learn whatever I wish without cats threatening war. I had no say in coming to Clan life, anyway. Shadowpaw blinked her thoughts away. The thought of going back had occurred, but she knew that if she did, she would never see the few cats with whom she had become friends. And, to top it off, she would most likely not know how to hunt or take care of herself if she hadn't been kitnapped.
