Shadowpaw

Darkpaw padded into the apprentice den, pale lilac eyes glowing slightly in dim light. His jet black fur allowed him to blend in to the shadows. He didn't notice that there was another dark pelted apprentice until he almost bumped into him.
"Ah, sorry." He meowed. "Who are you." He added after some though and sort of reluctantly. He was curious though, because he didn't believe he'd ever spoken to this cat before.

"NELLA FANTASIA IO VEDO UN MONDO GUISTO"

Shadowpaw, a quiet voice answered. She was finally moving into the apprentices' den, putting the finishing touches on her nest in the corner by the entrance. Shadowpaw had stopped what she was doing and turned her blue eyes towards the newcomer. What's your name? She thought maybe this fellow apprentice could be a friend, but as usual it gave her anxiety to talk to new cats, so she just waited for events to naturally unfold.

Darkpaw blinked as the other cat only meowed Shadowpaw. "Oh, well okay. I'm Darkpaw." His eyes flicked to the nest that she had been finishing off.
"Oh, so you are just moving in?" He asked. No wonder he'd never seen Shadowpaw before because she had not been here...

Yes, they told me to move in here, her gaze followed his to her nest. She glanced around the den, and back to him. So, how- how long have you been in here?

(its hard to write a quiet cat when you in person, your anxiety usually makes you talk a lot now here with shadowpaw i have to do the opposite XD)

Darkpaw nodded at her. "I have been here for a little while now, so I know quite a few cats that stay here, but admittedly not all of them." He told her, and pointed to his nest over a few tail length.

"My nest if you ever need me, for anything I dunno." a very slight smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. He flicked his night black tail in slight amusement.

Thanks, she meowed back gratefully. She turned back to her nest and pawed a piece of moss into place, as well as a stray feather she had salvaged from prey the previous day. Her blue eyes turned back to him, and wondered what to do next.

Darkpaw smiled. "No worries." He shrugged, and then lapsed back into his quiet observance, the ghost of the smile fading slightly.

He then had an idea. "Wait, uh would you like to go and find some more moss and stuff to line our nests with?" He asked, totally open to Shadowpaw saying no, it was just an idea.

Shadowpaw blinked and glanced out of the den. She didn't know if they were allowed to leave the camp without a warrior present, as they had always stressed to the kits exploring that they were not allowed out. Sure, if we can.

"We can, no need for a warrior to be present. We're apprentices now." He reminded Shadowpaw with a smile.

He got to his paws and waited for the other apprentice to follow as he lead the way out of the den. "Come on, don't worry."
