Frostkit was.... Pretty sure she was old enough to be an apprentice by this point. Yet, no one was coming out to give her ceremony. She pouted to no one except herself. No Oceanstar and no Cloudship meant no ceremonies. Which meant Frostkit was stuck in the nursery and she was getting a little too big for it, right? Man, this sucked. She sighed over the fresh-kill pile. At least there were no debates on whether she was old enough to eat actual prey, which was actually the best? She loved it. It was awesome.

Leopardkit bounced out of the nursery with his usual energy. Only recently had he been allowed to venture out on his own, though he expected his mother kept a close eye on him. As he stumbled out of the den, he looked around camp for any chance for adventure and fun. Finally, his eyes rested on Frostkit, one of the older kits in the nursery.
Without second guessing himself, he ran over to her and purred in delight. "Hey Frostkit! You still waiting on big old Oceanstar to give you a mentor?" He asked, more or less unaware of how unpleasant it likely was to have to wait for such a ceremony.

Frostkit looked over her shoulder to see her younger brother, Leopardkit. He was... More of the energetic type. She strained her brain, and came to the conclusion that he... Was the only one of them like that. She guessed she could be sort of excitable... But Flutterkit was cranky, Birchkit was weird, Egretkit was sleeping all the time, and Hailkit was.... Also weird. Leopardkit was clearly the bouncy one. She'd heard her mother look at Leopardkit fondly, something about some guy named Birchbounce.
She nodded. "Yeah. I'm hoping that maybe Cloudskip will come around and give me a mentor sometime.... Mom says that the deputy can do ceremonies if the leader doesn't want to or can't for some reason." She explained.

(We'll just keep going as if you haven't become a 'paw yet. Also, just so you know, I can only come on here on the weekends, so I won't be able to reply again until Friday afternoon. But I WILL reply, I promise!)
Leopardkit snorted and tipped his head to one side in confusion. "Huh, I wonder why a leader wouldn't want to do ceremonies. That seems....not leaderly." He said, more seriously than anything he had before. The thought of a leader not wanting to do his sibling's ceremony made him feel even worse for Frostkit.
Suddenly, an idea flashed in his mind. "Hey, I have an idea. Why don't I help you get a jumpstart on your apprentice duties!" He squeaked excitedly, tail swishing.

((That's okay! And don't worry lawl I always RP threads that keep going even during a name change as where they'd appear in the timeline so to speak. Honestly, it bugs me a ton when it's implied a ceremony occurred in-thread because it usually makes little sense.))
Frostpaw shrugged. "Oceanstar probably has reasons and stuff. Maybe we don't know them because we're not leaders." She pointed out, still defending the leader of Fireclan's decisions. She wasn't sure.... She was totally on board with the delay of her ceremony but.... She didn't want to doubt their leader.
She blinked. "Huh? How do you mean? Is that allowed?" Were the first voiced thoughts that crossed her mind in response to her younger brother's suggestion. Though.... He seemed far more excited for this than her.
