Giving birth (Snakefang/O)

Sweetfur nodded a thank you to the apprentice that brought her duckkit. Turning her attention back to Phantompaw she smiled "Thank you, i really appreciate it." she purred. She was grateful that everyone would gladly protect her kit

[Phantomwhisper]

"So you'd be fine... If I mentored him?" Asked Phantompaw in a hopful voice wondering and waiting until he was giving a warrior cerimony!

Spottedpaw nodded once to Sweetfur, and trotted back to the back of the den, where she watched the quadruples sullenly from her nest. Ever since she got hurt severely in the face, she didn't talk much except for times of need. Tears sparkled in her good eye, and she wondered if she would ever have a normal life with good eyes again.

[Sweetfur]

Sweetfur looked at the almost-warrior "Of course, you look like you could handle him. But it will be awhile before he is ready to be an apprentice." she meowed. She looked at Spottedpaw "hello." she meowed.

[Phantomwhisper]

Phantompaw smiled and said, "I'll have time to prepair."
Phantompaw said excitedly

Sweetfur nodded, "I can't wait to go back to the nursery with him" she purred.

Spottedpaw just nodded at Sweetfur sullenly, her dark green eye sad. Her face was scarred, and she wasn't sure if cats would make fun of her if she chose to go back to the apprentice den.

I padded over to Spottedpaw and wrapped my tail around her. "You look pretty to me," I meowed, licking the top of her head. I was her adopted father in a way, and that was fine by me.

[Ducksong]

Duckkit was confused. What was going on? Why couldn't he see? Those questions swarmed the little kits head.

[Sweetfur]

Sweetfur looked at her kit and licked his head "Duckkit, your blind.." she meowed sadly. "But it's okay.." she meowed, looking at snakefang for reinsurance.

[Snakefang]

"But you'll be a strong warrior, I can tell. A kit born blind is destinied for greatness. They might suffer through blindness, I'll admit, but they will be stronger than normal warriors because they work harder to prove themselves. Promise me that you'll prove yourself," I meowed.

[iamhazel]

I nodded sheepishly, and trotted to the back of the den to lay down again. With a sigh, I recalled Snakefang's words. Were they directed to me or the kit..? "But you'll be a strong warrior, I can tell. A kit born blind is destinied for greatness. They might suffer through blindness, I'll admit, but they will be stronger than normal warriors because they work harder to prove themselves. Promise me that you'll prove yourself." he had meowed, but she wasn't sure of who he was talking to. Laying her marred head on her paws, she sighed heavily through her nose and looked at Snakefang with my good eye. I studied the ginger and white tom, dozens of questions running through my mind and eye at once.

[Ducksong]

Duckkit made the small head movement. He knew what they were saying but couldn't respond.

[Snakefang]

"Both of you will be great warriors, I promise. But I need you to both promise me that you'll prove yourself and work hard," I looked at both of them. "Promise me..."

Duckkit's mind raced, trying to find the words to say. He couldn't do it, never could he say anything, for he had only been just born. He watched Snakefang's expression when the tom said to promise. He was a runt, Duckkit was. But he was the only kit.
