Tanglepelt padded into the den, her tail flicking. A question was making her antsy, like a tick crawling on her neck. She was itching to ask him. "Flame?" she meowed softly, glancing at the ginger tom. "I have to ask you something." she meowed, walking to her ... er ... former mate. "Flamey!" she said a bit louder, a giggle jumping from her mouth. She growled to herself. |

The flame tabby was just quietly minding his own business, finishing a delicious spaghetti meal when he heard his name.
Rather board, he stood up, gave his fur a brisk groom, and trotted into the den.
"Yes? Oh, Tangles, how nice to see you."
He mewed, smiling at the similar she-cat.

I'm just curious so I know how to act and not to when I'm with Emberstorm. And, please, don't give me any Cloudspirit crap. I don't like him. Never did. He's only my friend." she meowed, nodding. |

The ginger tom flicked his tail, his eyes showing concern and worry.
"Tangles.... I... I still love you. I never wanted to break up with you, but then Snow came along and... it all changed. I'm sorry if it hurt."
Flamewhisper mewed, glancing down at this ginger paws.

Shock. Pure shock flowed through her veins. Of course, it was always Snowstorm that changed everything. Tanglepelt felt anger to the she-cat, want to Flamewhisper, but confusion clouded her vision. "Wh-what? I ... I am shocked, but I don't know how to say this. I feel like I'm betraying Emberstorm. He was there for me when I really needed him. But, I ... Still, you know ..." She trailed off. "Have I told you how much I hate Snowstorm? I know she's your lover, but ... She was my friend, and she's different. She insults me, she taunts me, she even almost attacked me." Tanglepelt stopped, her eyes narrowed with thought. |

he had to be strong. for tanglepelt. for him. for emberstorm. all he wanted to do was crumble down and cry, having no one with him. that's all he deserved. but instead, he stead up, and took a huge gulp of hair. it wasn't fair, tanglepelt had been there for him. she needed someone to stick by her, to love her endlessly.

Tanglepelt stared at Flamewhisper, her ears pulled back. Everything that he had said was true. Emberstorm would never leave her. But, she hadn't felt all betrayed by the ginger tabby. "But ..." She never answered. She would be stopped anyway. She sighed, looking away from her former mate. "Alright. At least go be with Snowstorm. You deserve someone if I do." |
