Thunderpaw sat outside the apprentice den. Her green eyes searching the night sky. The she-cat felt a cool night breeze blow through her cream and brown tabby fur. Her brown bangs her brushed aside so both eyes could be seen. The sound of paw steps behind her made her turn her head.

Fangpaw was awake at this time, and wandered outside. He spotted Thunderpaw and decided to pad on over. Hello Thunderpaw, mind if I join you? The tom asked softly as he stayed standing to make sure it was okay for him to be there before he sat.

Thunderpaw smiled warmly at the gray tom when she saw him come from the den. "I don't mind at all, please help yourself." The she-cat then turned to look at the sky once more. "Have trouble sleeping," Thunderpaw asked with out turning her gaze from the sky.

He smiled and sat next to her. Having trouble sleeping? Fangpaw sighed. Somewhat, but the night sky is a great thing to look at when sleep is not easy coming. He said and turned to her. If you don't mind me asking, why are you out here? Fangpaw asked.

Thunderpaw smiled at his comment. The night sky was something amazing, so beautiful and breath taking. When he asked about her, she turned her green eyes back to the gray tom. "Well, I get these urges to come out and look at the night sky. I have tried to ignore it, but I can't sleep all night. It's bad really."

Fangpaw nodded understandingly. Yeah. I know what you mean. The night sky is great. He said, giving her a smile.

The she-cat took in a deep breath, the cool fresh air making her throat feel cool. The air was fresh and it brought a soothing feeling over her. Thunderpaw knew she had to think of something to talk about with Fangpaw, it would be really weird if she didn't. Thinking of past conversation she found something, "So you still good friends with Pinepaw and Robinpaw?"

He nearly winced at the names mentioned. No. I haven't really spoken to them in moons it seems. I have not many friends. Just a few here and there. Fangpaw said, and suddenly felt heavy. He looked up at the sky and sighed, but put a faint smile on his face.

Thunderpaw turned her gaze away slightly. She was the same, she had only two she could really call a friend, Jaypaw and Pinepaw where gone. Turning back to Fangpaw, she gave his shoulder a flick with her tail, "Don't worry, I'm the same. Sorry for talking about it."

He looked back at her. Nah, it's alright. Not everything nor everyone can go one way. Fangpaw said, giving a small smile.

"Well, that's a sad truth," Thunderpaw giggled a little then turned back to the stars. The she-cat was growing tired of raising her head to look at the sky. She laid down and rolled on her back so her white belly faced the black sky. She found this would be a lot better to look at the stars. "Do you ever think that your family is watching over you from Cloudclan?"

He sighed, and laid down himself. Fangpaw then looked up at the sky. Well, I think so. At least I hope so. But I don't remember much of my family. All I know is that Galestorm and Shredthorn are my older brothers. That's about it. He said and gave a smile. At least I know someone in my family... What about her though? Fangpaw spoke again. Ah, well. What about you? Do you think they are watching over you? He asked, hoping she thinks so.

Thunderpaw put on a sad smile, but she did try to make it seem like she was okay and not affect, but it was a lie. "I don't know anything about my family. I don't have any siblings or anyone in blood. I don't know anyone within blood or kin, I don't know. One thing I do know is Quickfox raised me as one of her own." Thunderpaw looked at him then back at the stars, "Is it nice? Having a family."

Fangpaw frowned. I suppose at times yes, but I hardly see them Thunderpaw. Galestorm is having "mate issues", which I knew was going to happen. He said, and mumbled, ladies man. And Shredthorn, he is either hunting, or being alone, or even with a friend. He said.

Thunderpaw looked away from his and back at the sky. For some reason she found it hard to look at the gray tom for some reason. Why did she struggle to do so? "Well at least you know for sure you are not alone in this world, there is always someone you can turn to and you know they are alive." Thunderpaw turned to lay on her side, her tabby back facing Fangpaw.
