Beechstar's fur spiked when no one listened to him. This was a gathering, not a useless time to just chat. "EVERYONE LISTEN UP!" The leader yelled, his voice louder than anyone else there. "The leader's will share their clan's news and then this gathering is over." He turned to Cloverstar. "You go first, newbie."

Lotuspetal quickly turned her attention to the leaders. How would this Gathering turn out? It usually turned into a fight, but whatever.

Cloverstar opened her mouth to say something, but she was then promptly drowned out by the sounds of further chatter. She closed it, tried again, same result. She couldn't hear herself think, let alone speak, over all of this noise.
Then Beechstar silenced the chatter, and she could talk...but what could she say? She scowled, bristling at the condescending nickname. Newbie? "I told you, my name is Cloverstar," she said coldly, straightening up to make her announcement. "I am the new leader of RockClan, as Hawkstar has retired. We have a new deputy, Flamepath, as Sagefang has stepped down as well. That is all."
Her piece spoken, she waited for another leader to speak. Maybe if they hurried up, the Gathering would be over quickly. |

Sweetpaw smiled up at Cloverstar, so far, this was her first gathering, her ginger and white pelt was sleek, when she heard the name of Hawkstar, she felt slightly saddened, Hawkstar had been her mentor before.

Beechstar simply rolled his eyes at the she-cat. If she thought that name was brutal then she obviously hadn't been a leader for long. He stomped one paw on the branch to turn the attention to himself. "Treeclan also has a new deputy. Koisplash has retired and Whitehawk took her place." The leader almost frowned, but stopped himself and kept a straight face. "Treeclan is in good health and is completely recovered from the fire and the raid. We can overcome anything." Then he was done. The fire was long ago, he was still going on about that? A bit of confidence in his announcements.
