Well, this Gathering was just lovely. There was so much chatter everywhere that it was starting to make Cloverstar's ears throb. She fidgeted slightly, not sure what to do. Once, she'd dreamed as a kit that she'd be up here, looking out over the Clans as a powerful leader. Now that she actually was here, she found it a lot duller than she'd anticipated. No cats giving you free catnip, for one thing.
She glanced over at Whitehawk. The new TreeClan deputy, wasn't he? So far he did seem to be a good choice, since he was now using his authority to break up a fight. She wished she could say the same for herself; all she'd really done so far was get her nine lives.
"So..." Cloverstar coughed, not sure who she was talking to. "...Very loud Gathering this is, isn't it?"
(breaking news: to no one's surprise, clover is a big dork)

"That was humiliating?" Briarpelt bared her teeth in a snarl. "Pah! Hardly. They are just silly names, silly things." Briarpelt whisked her tail rather evilly. "After all, Lotuspetal, darling, didn't you see me? I didn't take my warrior vows. So, yes, I am already an apprentice. But who cares? I can just... well, leave." Her green eyes narrowed. "Didn't you see it too, Whithawk?" She spat the name out. "So, yes, I don't give a piece of fox-dung about the truce." It probably wasn't wise, but Briarpelt liked to get all up in her enemies faces. Plus, it was putting them in a tight spot. She wanted to leave. And a fight... Whitehawk wouldn't go against his precious Cloudclan, now would he? And what fun a fight would be. What absolute fun.

Applefall turned her head away from her conversation with the other queens. Shenarrowed her gaze at the uproar going on because of Briarpelt. She knew her brother had mentored her when she was an apprentice for the second time. The ginger and white queen flicked her tail at the stubborn warrior who claimed she was evil.
"You should care about the truce. And your clanmates. That's why you were born into the clan." she meowed.
"Really, petty arguments with your clanmates and kin is unnecessary and silly."

"Were you even around when Briarpelt scarred Tigerscar!? She destroyed my friend's appearance and my friendship! And look what she turned me into! A scared, helpless kit." Lotuspetal mewed at Whitehawk/Applefall. "Besides," she sighed. "It's kinda cool to have Briarpelt around. You never get excitement."

Briarpelt raised her eyes. This queen had more idiot in her than Briarpelt had thought. Crouching, she growled at the other cat. "And if this so-called destiny was commanded by CloudClan, what made them rain, ah, rocks and trees, and let them kill two innocent treeclanners? Hmm? What made them not force me to take my vows? Idiot." Then she turned to Lotuspetal and raised her eyebrows. "Thank you. Nothing is ever fun without me."

Applefall snorted at the she-cat. "If you think I am an idiot, then you a very much mistaken. I think the only idiot here is you. No one else is trying to defy CloudClan except you. Sure, they've done things we weren't happy with, but they are the reason we are here. Now, if you are going to continue to fight, I suggest you leave now. We are here to communicate with the other Clans."
The ginger and white tabby then turned her back on the warrior, looking back at her fellow queens. "My apologies. We have stubborn warriors." she murmured.

"Does that TreeClanner really not hear herself right now, how stupid she's making herself sound?" He yawned, obviously bored by her uproar. "Eh, Miss want-to-be-bad." His gaze shifted towards her. "Cut the chatter, do you not see no one gives a rat's tail. This is a peaceful gathering. If you want to start something, like your petty dramatic entrance go humour yourself and kindly stick your head in an ant hill." He grinned and his tail swayed from side to side.
"I'm good." He yawned once more and returned to his little group to chat with.

"Um... okay." Lotuspetal looked down at her paws. "I... just.. wanted to talk...." Her voice was basically like a whisper, but loud enough to here. Maybe talking with Briarpelt wasn't a good thing.

Briarpelt's eyes narrowed. "Idiot."

"Now don't call me an idiot without considering yourself."

"I wasn't talking to you." Briarpelt's eyes narrowed in pure hate.

While she was busy trying desperately not to yawn from her spot up on the branch, some particular chatter in a certain part of the clearing caught Cloverstar's attention. Two warriors, from TreeClan, it seemed, had been arguing. It was the fight she'd seen Whitehawk intervene in, but now a queen and an apprentice also seemed involved.
Well, she might as well do something while she was here. She jumped down from the branch, thankfully landing completely on all fours this time, and strode over. She tried to keep her shoulders straight to appear imperial, expression serious yet calm. Be a leader, Cloverstar. Be a leader. "Is there a problem here I should know about?" Cloverstar asked coolly, flicking her tail tip.

"It's just a stupid talk. I don't know how I got so many cats in my audience."

Whitehawk was now completely done with this. He looked at Cloverstar, now beyond embarrassed that a leader from a different Clan was getting into this. Briarpelt was truly lucky he didn't have the ability to magically make her vanish, because with her extreme obnoxiousness, he would in a heartbeat. He stepped in between Briarpelt and the others, now lowering his ears.
"Leave. Now. Go home. You are no longer welcome in this gathering, and you're lucky you've been welcomed here at all." He growled, lashing his tail. "I will discuss your punishment when I return. But for now you will go home, and go to sleep. Or, if you wish to make up for this in a slight way, which I doubt, you may go on a night hunt to get food for our amazing home." He commanded, glaring back to Lotuspetal.
"And you. Next time someone pushes a fight on you, especially when you're at a gathering, with cats from other Clans watching, back off. You're lucky I don't force you to clean the entirety of the camp, the both of you." He snapped, looking at each of the she-cats, eyes blazing with fury.
