Darkstar had curled up on the Leader's Branch after intervening in another fight before. "If anyone starts fighting anyone right here, right now, I will kill you," she growled, making sure that her voice reached those who were arguing now.

(Briarpelt, please don't make OOC-only posts in an RP thread. That counts as spam.)
Only a talk? Cloverstar had to take that with a grain of salt, considering that one of the two warriors looked like the type who was always ready to rip someone's ears off. But she didn't have time to say anything else before Whitehawk intervened yet again. She blinked in surprise, whatever words she'd planned to speak forgotten. She had to feel sorry for him, not that she would tell him so. His pride was probably damaged enough from seeing two of his warriors cause such a public scene in front of the other Clans, at a Gathering, no less.
"Well, if that's all, then...I suppose there's nothing that hasn't already been settled," she finally said, a little awkwardly. What was she supposed to do now? Just go back to the branch? She shuffled her paws slightly, momentarily a bit at a loss as to what to do. Should she start conversation? But then, what would she say? Oh, CloudClan, this was confusing.

Lotuspetal than wondered if she embarresed WHitehawk. She probably made the him think that Tree Clan was dishonorable because of her. Lotuspetal slowly retreated to her tree, climbing to the very top. The cats were medium-sized circles. Lotuspetal sighed. Now what? She didn't want to cause another argument....

After the she cat was done grooming herself she got up and stretched her stiff limbs. She then made her was over to her new leader. Once there she rested her tail on her shoulder. "Relax, everyone here can tell how nervous you are. Be brave." She whispered into her ear. She then said, "If the gathering has not started by now it probably won't." she looked around. "Try talking to the deputies or the medicine cats of the other clans and get in their good books, because right now to them you are just a name, they need to see who you really are before you are entirely accepted." The she cat gave this advice a lot, she had seen three leaders come and go at this point.

Just when Cloverstar was seriously considering just going back to the branch and pretending she'd been there the whole time, she nearly jumped out of her skin at a touch to her shoulder. She whirled, fur starting to bristle, until she realized it was Sunblaze. It took a moment until embarrassment sank in at how quickly she reacted, and she lay her fur down almost as quickly as it'd stood up, prickling. However, she heard Sunblaze's advice, which was more reassuring than she could put into words in the midst of all the Gathering chaos and unfamiliar faces from other Clans.
She gave a shaky nod. "I...um, okay," she whispered, before clearing her throat to assume a more serious tone. "Right. I understand. Thank you, Sunblaze."
But who should I talk to first? Cloverstar wondered, looking around. Whitehawk seemed alright, but he probably wasn't in the best conversational mood after telling off a pair of quarreling Clanmates. She couldn't see any of the other deputies and medicine cats nearby, however, so he appeared the only option available.

Beechstar came dashing into the clearing. He skidded to a halt before he ran into anyone, but he looked rather exhausted and ridiculous. "I apologize, everyone. I was making sure all of my clan-mates got here. Last time someone got lost." He laughed but was still out of breath. Plus these legs don't carry me like they used too. Beechstar climbed up the tree with ease and sat on his usual spot on the branch. "Where's Wildstar and Haw-" He noticed Cloverstar and blinked slowly. "Hello."

Dang it. Did Beechstar have to recline right below her? Lotuspetal decided to listen upon her tree. Nobody could see her. And to ensure that, Lotus climbed a branch higher.

Darkstar recognized the voice of Beechstar, even without opening her eyes. "Well, it's nice to see you too, beautiful," she muttered.

The timing couldn't have been more perfect. Cloverstar's ears twitched and she looked up to see none other than the TreeClan leader running into the clearing as if his life depended on it. She recognized the distinctive ginger and white tabby pelt almost immediately off the bat, but that was really all she knew about him. The idea of having to talk to him as a co-leader, however, made her fur start standing up again.
She shook herself, trying to focus, though she was admittedly a little envious that he'd managed to get on the branch with no slip-ups. Granted, he'd done this before and she hadn't, but still. At least she hadn't been late to the Gathering.
Cloverstar started out of her thoughts when she heard him speak, again. Wait, was he talking to her?
She looked over. Well, yes. Yes, he was. Mouse dung.
"Uh." She gave a small cough, trying to sound formal enough to be taken seriously, but not so much that he'd think she was being hostile. The last thing she wanted was a conflict. "Hello. I'm...Cloverstar. New leader of RockClan, after Hawkstar stepped down. It's an honor to meet you."

Dustpetal's whiskers twitched as the TreeClan leader arrived late. Not the best first impression for the new cats here today, but TreeClanners would be TreeClanners. The arguments around the clearing also seemed to be from TreeClan.
Meanwhile, RockClan's new leader seemed like a bit of a mouseheart. She looked at the leader, watching the introduction with a carefully neutral expression. At this point the only cats in power she could bring herself to respect were Darkstar and Whitehawk.

"I'm Beechstar." The orange leader nodded to her in greeting. He had never seen her before, not even as a warrior or apprentice. Weird. Oh well, she could still be a possibly ally. Beechstar smelled another familiar leader, so he whipped around to Darkstar. "Hello, sorry I didn't see you. It's quite dark out and you blend in." He decided to change the subject. "Have we started yet? If not, we should. I see my deputy already had to spilt up a fight. Those usually start after we make the announcements."

Lotuspetal wanted to cry out. 'Idiot.' she told herself as she listened. 'Dung-face. I made news. Dang it.'

~Her Bark IS Worse Than Her Bite~
The warrior didn't flinch. She could have come up with WAY better responses, plus this was a gathering, so she didn't intend to break the Warrior Code anytime soon. "It is, actually, because I am pretty sure you're my sister, and therefore, because I am a warrior before you, have a higher power over you," Petalfur replied with a simple smirk. This cat definitely didn't know who she was dealing with. Plus, Petal wanted to be strong in front of her apprentice especially. Can you help me? I'd like to join and I don't know how to... sorry to bother you. Can you please ex plain what to do?
