Marbledpaw padded into the apprentices den. Althought she was more than six moons old, her apprenticeship had been delayed for a few weeks. She was so happy to be an apprentice. Marbledpaw purred to herself. No more queens! she thought happily, we could play as much and as roughly as we want! Marbledpaw pushed the nests closer together and started making a new nest, pawing together ferns, bracken, moss, and some feathers Finchpaw had lent her. He was always collecting those. She felt a rustle in the entrance and turned around. "Hi" She meowed to the cat, "I'm Marbledpaw."

''Hey hey, new apprentices. That's great.'' Beaverpaw entered, hearing the first new 'hi'. A new voice, new look, new cat.
''Nice to meet you, Marblepaw. Nice name you got. I'm Beaverpaw.'' He introuduced himself kindly,''Who else is coming in?'' He asked.
Great to know there wouldn't be the same cats he'd be stuck in. They were not that fun..

Sweetpaw walked in, smiling, "Hello, you must be Marbledpaw, my brother told me about you." she smiled, flicking an ear, not noticing Beaverpaw.

"Hi Sweetpaw" Marbledpaw meowed. She bounced up and down. "Can we play?" She was still used to the frolicking at the nursery, being the spunky kit she was.

Marbledpaw shrugged. "Me neither, I'm waiting for one" She then looked at her and said happily, "Want to play tag?"

She smiled, "Okay." she only had one friend, Krestelpaw, she wondered if this friendship would be successful as well?

Marbledpaw chased her. She was almost about to catch Sweetpaw when Sweetpaw's tail lashed in her face. Marbledpaw wasn't deterred, however. She batted at the tail, called a "Your IT!" and sped away in the other direction.

Hearing voices from outside. The silver tabby padded into the apprentice den. She instantly recognized Sweetpaw and smiled at her friend. But the smile faded when she spotted beaver paw. Remembering their fight. Avoiding eye contact she turned to find Marblepaw and smiled in greetings.
