Naturepaw swallowed hard. "Yeah." Her voice came out strangled. She cleared her throat. "I know." Nature looked away from Shiverwind and sat in silence for a moment. Then, she inhaled and exhaled deeply. "Alright. Let's move on to a different subject, shall we?" she suggested, trying a bit of a forced smile. This kind of subject was very depressing. It wasn't something she liked to linger on for very long. "So, what do you like to do for fun? Personally, I like taking walks through the woods or climbing up boulders near the clan territory."

Naturepaw laughed and grinned at her friend. "Alright then," she replied through a chuckle. At least he likes something."I like cats, too. Much better than wolves or foxes," she replied with another giggle.

"I agree," Naturepaw replied, smiling at her friend. But then he seemed to hesitate. Naturepaw's smile fell and she got more serious. "Except what?" she asked as lightly as she could while still being serious. She tried not to darken too much. They were having a good time and Naturepaw didn't want to darken the mood or anything.

"Oh. Yeah, I remember the stories told from that time..." Naturepaw commented softly. As she thought back on it, she realized how much stronger Ice Clan, as well as the other clans, became after that terrible time. Naturepaw herself wasn't here when that happened, but the stories of Death Clan taking over weren't outdated yet. The memories were still fresh on the minds of many cats throughout the clans. "Hopefully, no more conflict will come up right now. We just got some land from Rock Clan, but at least we didn't take over Rock Clan, you know? The other clans - besides Death Clan - seem more sane and seem to think about others...a little," Nature said with a small smile.

Naturepaw's eyes widened. "Really? An apprentice died? I didn't know that..." she murmured. Nature just thought that the cats in the battles got injured, but she didn't know that one died, especially a cat so young. "Do you know who it was?" she asked quietly, her heart beginning to ache from a loss she had never felt before. She wasn't sure if she knew the apprentice, but one of her clanmates died in a stupid battle over territory...

Shiverwind was silent. "Hm.. I don't quite remember, I don't think she was IceClan..Bluepaw! She was killed by Cinder, and s-s-she was RockClan."

Naturepaw breathed a sigh of relief. It was still terrible that an apprentice died, but she was relieved that it was no one she knew. "Well, I'm thankful that none of our clanmates died in the battles," she replied. Nature looked up at Shiverwind. "I'm glad you didn't get involved. You could've gotten hurt..." she said in a hushed voice.
