He nodded at the fact that past apprentices were forgotten. With such a big Clan it was difficult to remember all the names. "Yeah, I have one, but I wish I could get this other kit, her name is Shadowkit, very energetic, but shy. She actually managed to jump onto my back once, I was pretty surprised," Rabbitswift meowed. The tip of his tail waved as memories of that day came into his mind. She wasn't quite old enough to be an apprentice, but Rabbitswift wouldn't mind having the energetic she-kit.

Sage laughed. "Yeah, it's the same with Willowkit! Somehow she managed to jump up and nuzzle my shoulder earlier. I was so suprised!" she thought for a second before continuing. "Maybe if we both become mentors we could trian Willow and Shadow together!"

Rabbitswift smiled at the idea of the energetic kit that Sageleaf described. "It sounds like Shadowkit and Willowit are very alike," Rabbitswift stated. He thought for a moment, and smiled wider at the fact that Willowkit could be a good friend for Shadowkit. The shy she-kit had troubles making friends, and maybe another energetic kit could be the right medicine for that. He liked the idea that Sageleaf came up with, the idea of Willowkit and Shadowkit training together if they became their mentors. "I like that idea. Shadowkit could use a good friend that she could see any time," Rabbitswift agreed.

[attr="class","boxesl"] sorry for the short post, iPod 26 Sage smiled. "I'm so very happy you agree!" She purred in delight. "But the ceremonies lately haven't been very often, if you know what I mean." What will your verse be? |

[ It's fine. ]
Rabbitswift nodded to her comment on the ceremonies. "Yeah, but I guess that's the way it goes, less kits means less apprentices," Rabbitswift meowed. It was a shame since when kits were plentiful, some mentors could get two apprentices, but now that there were less kits, it meant it was unlikely for a warrior to get multiple apprentices.

"Actually, the ceremonies were just held, and I got Willowpaw's as my apprentice! I'm so excited to begin training her!" she replied.

Rabbitswift smiled, mostly because he was happy for Sageleaf. "Lucky," Rabbitswift commented, still smiling. "It's unlikely I will get Shadowkit, since I have Leafpaw, but at least you got the apprentice you wanted," Rabbitswift meowed. He liked his current apprentice, since she seemed like a fast learner, but he also liked the energetic young she-kit.

"Ej, you never know. There's always a chance." Said Sageleaf. "How is Leafpaw doing, by the way? Isn't she almost ready to become a warrior?"

Rabbitswift smiled at the idea of a chance. It was a slim chance, but it existed. Then Sageleaf asked about Leafpaw's training, and Rabbitswift nodded. "Most likely, she was a natural when it came to hunting, but not yet ready to become a warrior," Rabbitswift meowed. Remembering that he still had to go over battle moves with his apprentice.

Oh boy, boy, "what does she still need to improve on?" Asked Sage. "Good hunters often need more fighting practice, so I'm guessing that's what you're working on with her?" | NOTES TAGS WHATEVS |

"I haven't taught her fighting yet, so I suppose that will be where there maybe difficulty," Rabbitswift replied. He was new to mentoring, so naturally there would be some difficult moments until he adjusted.

Oh boy, boy, Sage nodded, and a realization suddenly dawned on her. "Leafpaw is your first apprentice, isn't she?" Sage inquired.

Rabbitswift nodded, "Yes, she is my first apprentice, and she is doing very well." Rabbitswift was already pleased with Leafpaw's hunting skills, but there was still so much to go over before she could be a warrior. He still remembered bits and pieces of his training with Splashstream, and how difficult it was.

"That's good. The first apprentice is always the hardest." Dhe replied, trying to remember her first apprentice. "I actually met Leafpaw earlier today, she's quite the ball of joy." She said, not sure weather ball of joy was an expression or not.

Rabbitswift nodded, since it was most likely Sageleaf would know more about this topic. He was a young warrior and this was his first time training an apprentice, which would make it rather difficult. "Well, everyone has to learn how to be a mentor at some point," Rabbitswift meowed. He knew being a mentor was a big responsibility and took up a lot of time, but no matter what, the Clan would need warriors. This meant giving an apprentice various sessions of training, until they were prepared to take on that responsibility.
