Wolfmist turned in her nest, catching sight of Lionsmoke's blue-gray coat. She grunted. Why is his nest still next to mine? I thought he was going to leave, she thought bitterly, closing her eyes for a moment. She only opened them again when she felt her mate stirring beside her. She glanced at him with wide, blue eyes, then turned away from him in her nest. There was something she needed to tell him, but she was still angry. Did he deserve to know? Did he deserve to have such great news?
"Got anymore kits you want to tell me about?" She muttered, but she really did want to know. If he had anymore children, she had the right to know the truth - and it was the first step to making up for their fight.

Lionsmoke was sleeping in his nest, his thick tail lashing in his sleep. Well, he was really pretending to be asleep more than anything. He didn't want to talk to Wolfmist, like he would usually do. He just wanted to sleep before leaving tomorrow. He had decided that it would be for the better of them both if he had just disappeared into the territory like Jaypaw had. Besides, perhaps he'd encounter his brother. He would only need him to survive, right?
The black-colored tom heard Wolfmist rustle as she turned in her nest, obviously away from him. He didn't care, though. Not anymore. He was done with pleasing someone that he couldn't seem to please. But, when she spoke, Lionsmoke gave a loud, irritated sigh, not turning over. "It would be more polite if you decided to talk to my face and not my back." he muttered, not turning over.
"And, no. Happy, Princess?" he said, glancing over his shoulder with a yellow glare. He then rested his head back where it was, glaring at his nest. I can't believe she doesn't even trust me when I say I wouldn't have anymore.

Wolfmist let a small growl escape her jaws. "I'm no Princess, and your no loyal mate," she replied, lifting her head to look at him. "I'm tired of this fighting. To be honest, I thought you would have moved your nest. I thought you would have left already - and, in all honesty, I was relieved. I was relieved that the fighting would be over and I could sleep peacefully." She turned towards him, sadness creeping onto her features.
She studied his back for a moment, wondering if he'd turn over and apologize one more time. To tell her he would never leave her. She wanted something like that to happen, so that they could both be forgiven and move on. They could live happily - as a family.
But of course, this didn't happen. Instead, she turned back around and closed her eyes, praying that the tears wouldn't squeeze out despite that fact. "Maybe…" she trailed off. There wasn't any fight left in her - she was defeated and exhausted. "Maybe I should meet them." Her voice was quiet and strained. "Your kits. What are their names?"

Lionsmoke snorted. "Sure. Keep telling yourself that." he meowed. No. He wasn't going to have her beat him in this battle. He wanted to prove that he didn't do anything else wrong, and apologizing for it doesn't seem to help. The tom almost flinched, but his claws dug into the moss in his nest instead, causing them to fall apart. "I'm leaving tomorrow. It's not like you want me here, anyway. You just said so yourself."
The blue-gray tom gave up on his apologizing. It didn't seem to make anything better. So, he just stopped. Maybe it was for the better. The thick-furred cat sat up, cleaning moss from his pelt. He got out of his nest, carrying it to a corner in the den. He then left it there with a pile of other unused nests.
"Meet them? I think that would cause a horrible amount of fighting." he meowed, stopping by her nest. "But, they are Sagepaw, Darkpaw, and Reedtail. Haven't seen them in moons, so good luck finding them. Anything else you need before I go?" Yes, he still did care for her. He'd provide for her, even if it was one more time.

Wolfmist ignored the comment about leaving. No, she didn't want him to leave, but she didn't need to say so. In a few moments, he'd have a reason to stay. ...Darkpaw? "Darkpaw? The tall white fellow with the dark amber eyes?" She tilted her head. "I believe I've met him already - I'm his mentor - and we get along fine, mind you," she muttered, rolling her eyes.
"But I need to tell you something," she added, glancing at him with perked ears. "If you'll listen."

Lionsmoke just shrugged. "I don't care what he thinks of you. As long as he behaves himself." he meowed softly, lashing his tail. This would be the last time to see or talk about his children, isn't it? The blue-gray tom almost regretted leaving, but he knew it would be the right choice. Wolfmist hated him, and she wanted nothing to do with him.
"What is it?" he asked. "I will always listen."

His last few words hurt, but in a good way. I will always listen. She gave a smile that would have been hard to see in the gloomy den. But now was the time to tell him. She hesitated. What if it was a bad idea? He seemed so intent on leaving, and if it was what he wanted, she didn't want to make him stay. But I want him. I want him to stay, she thought, despite how greedy it sounded. Besides, he could still leave if that's what he wanted. She wasn't forcing him to stay.
"I'm.." Her voice faltered, and she cleared her throat as she turned towards him. "I'm pregnant," she finished, plunging into silence. She gulped, waiting for his response. Surely he'd be at least somewhat happy? Or would he be angry? Only time would tell. She rested her head on her paws, slightly fearing his response.

Lionsmoke didn't see her smile. With sleep still in his eyes, everything seemed almost blurry and dark. The blue-gray tom paused, listening to her speak. Did she sleep with someone to get back at me? Maybe it's only fair. "Congratulations. Who's the father?" He wanted to ask if she did this just to get back at him, but he kept his mouth closed.
He didn't like the thought of her having kits. Not with someone else.

"..." This made Wolfmist angry. "Are you really so dense?" She asked, insulted. "Do you think I would stoop to that level?" She shook her head in disbelief. "They're yours, genius."
sorry, this is really short.

Lionsmoke froze, his yellow gave wide. I did it again. But, this seemed to make Wolfmist angry, his question. It's not like he could predict what happened. "Well, I didn't know if you wanted to get revenge on me. You know, that would wound me." He glanced at his nest in the corner of the den. He was beginning to reconsider his idea leaving. Maybe she didn't want him to stay still.
Without saying anything, the blue-colored tom walked closer, coming behind Wolfmist. He stepped into her nest, laying down. He curled his body around her, his tail beginning to twine with hers. "I'm sorry."

"Why would I want revenge? I know you made a mistake, and I've forgiven you - I thought I was being clear," she blinked up at him as he came towards her, settling down beside her in her nest. She smiled. The two barely fit inside one nest, but he was warm. She rested her head on his chest with a content sigh.
"Me too," she murmured. "The kits will be gorgeous." After a moment, she looked up at him with wide eyes. "Please don't leave me? Despite what I said, I don't think I could handle that." She settled back down. "I love you too much."

Lionsmoke gave a small shrug. "You were just really upset. I had thought that you went to go sleep with someone else to make me upset." He felt her rest her head on his chest, making him smile. It was a tight squeeze, but he would rather stay here than go grab his nest again. He lifted his paw, resting it on her side, as though he could feel where the kits were.
"Well, they have a beautiful mother." he whispered, licking her ear. Lionsmoke looked down at her, blinking his yellow gaze. "I would never leave you. Even if I left, I would come back. IceClan is my home. You're my heart." He lowered his head, brushing his chin against her head. "I love you too much as well. I'm so sorry."

"And an even more handsome father," she purred softly in his ear, nuzzling his cheek. "And you're mine, my love," she purred happily, glad their fight was over. "I'm sorry as well. Let's just try not to fight again, alright? I don't think I could live without you." She glanced down at her stomach. "And neither could they."

Lionsmoke gave a quiet laugh, his ear flicking. "I wouldn't say I'm too handsome, dear." he meowed, smiling broadly as she nuzzled his cheek. "I promise, I won't do anything bad again. I will please you for the rest of my life, however long that is." When she glanced down at her stomach, he frowned. "Are you going to move?" he asked.

"Psh. Why not? Of course you are, that's why I love you," She teased. "Of course, I'm just kidding. I love you for who you are, but you know that. Your handsome, that's my point." She laughed. "You don't need to try and please me - you do just by being with me," she purred. "I love you, and I will forever, even after I die." She promised. "Move? To the nursery?" She hesitated. "I suppose I do, don't I?" Her heart sunk. "Make sure to visit me a lot, okay? Maybe you can stay with me sometimes."
