“Well, that happened,” Lightpaw mumbled as he watched Coalpaw’s black tail disappear into the shadows. “Guess it’s just us then, huh?” he said, glancing at Dawnpaw with a smile. A part of him was overjoyed that he would be spending time with the she-cat, yet freaked out that their wouldn’t be anyone their to distract her if he messed up.

Coalpaw shifted to the right to get a better view of the two through the thick brush. She strained her ears to hear what they were saying.

Dawnpaw stared at lightpaw, she knew it was time to ask, "Lightpaw, do you like me, I mean in like like.." she mewed calmly. She was afraid she would mess up and get laughed at, but she had to ask.

[Coalfoot]

Yes! She asked him! Coalpaw nearly squealed in excitement. Please, she thought. Please say yes.

[Lightheart]

Lightpaw's leaf-hued eyes widened and the fur on his pale golden pelt pricked at the question. "I- uh..." the tabby stumbled over his words, eventually taking a deep breath and relaxing so he could give a audible answer, "yeah, I do. I really care about you, Dawnpaw," he stated truthfully, gazing into the she-cat's blue eyes.

Dawnpaw stared into lightpaws eyes, her ears twitched, "I do too lightpaw, i care about you too.." She mewed with a gentle tone. She then felt like someone was watching them, "You think someones watching us?"

[Lightheart]

The small tabby felt a content warmth spread through him as he heard the Dawnpaw returned his feelings. Softly pressing his nose to Dawnpaw's cheek, he blinked contemplatively, thinking about what she said-- he did get the faint feeling someone was watching them.

"Yes!" Coalpaw yelled. She ran out from her hiding place. "Phase four complete!" The younger apprentice jumped happily around her friends, mumbling random words incoherently.

"I knew you two liked each other," she booped both of them on the nose with her paw. "Make sure that I get to name at least one of the kits... and that I'm their aunt..." she rambled.

Dawnpaw stared at coalpaw, "Wait what?" she mewed, surprised at coalpaw. She then figured out what was going on so dawnpaw then mewed, "You can name one of the kits if I have any.."

"No, it has to be your and Lightpaw's kits because it is going to happen and I know it," Coalpaw said matter of factly.
