Den Cleaning and a Bit of Prey (O)

[Coalfoot]

Coalpaw picked up the fish she caught. She mewed a quick goodbye to her mentor before padding towards the nursery. 

The apprentice put down the fish and called out to the kits, "Anyone want a bite of fish and fresh bedding?"

[DarkPaw]

The shadow colored male padded towards the strong stench of stream fish . He spotted the shimmery animal as well as a green eyed female. As he drew closer he stared at her she looked much like him self other than the splash of white on her front for-paw he growled irritability "the nests need a good cleaning they stick and are starting to hurt" he wrinkled his nose and added "the fish won't help the smell" He did not mean to be rude but his day had been once again a disappointment with a to busy mother and a father who wanted nothing to do with him life really did bot seem to have an upside at the moment

[Lilypad]

Lilly kit fell on top of coal paw with a surprise. She had been climbing a high ledge

Coalpaw smiled when at least one kit approached her. "Well, I'll clean out the nests, don't worry. Do you want to have a bite of fish?" She ignored his rude comments. The best way to act towards someone having a bad day was to be nice.

Suddenly, something fell on top of the black she-cat. She gave a meow of surprise, jumping back a few steps. When she saw it was another kit, Coalpaw grew concerned. "Are you okay? You took a big fall there."

[Lilypad]

She mumbled "not big enough I didn't get to high" before snapping to her senses,she had crushed a cat with a higher position. " I am soo so sorry!" She cried" are you ok?!"

[Coalfoot]

"I'm fine! You should be worried about yourself!" Coalpaw sniffed the small kit, making sure there were no injuries. "I'm no medicine cat, but I think you're okay. If you start hurting, go to the medicine cat den."

She pushed the fish closer to the kits. "Have a bite if you want. If you do, make sure to tell them that Coalpaw gave you your first fish." Coalpaw winked at them and got to work on cleaning the nearest nest.

[Rabbitpaw]

As Coalpaw cleaned out the nearest nest he unearthed a small sleeping kit. The kit mumbled, as if in a dream, then sat bolt upright.
" Oh! Hi there! I'm Rabbitkit! " Rabbitkit squeaked. To Rabbitkit, Coalpaw didn't look like all the other kits.
" Are you an apprentice? " asked Rabbitkit curiously.

Coalpaw jumped in surprise when a lot popped out of the nest. "Sorry! I didn't know you were there," she apologized. "Yes, I'm an apprentice. My name is Coalpaw. Rabbitkit, huh? That's a very cool name. Who is your mother?"

[Rabbitpaw]

Rabbitkit looked up at Coalpaw and said proudly
" Mothbriar.". Rabbitkit hadn't really talked to his mom but he'd heard that she was someone to be proud of.
Rabbitkit shook off some of the remaining scraps of moss still clinging to his pelt and asked
" And you? Who is your mother? " Rabbitkit asked curiously.

[Coalfoot]

"Lightfall," Coalpaw answered. "You can have a bite of the fish over there," she pointed to it with her tail. "Or you can help me clean."

The apprentice started to clean the nest again, smiling at Rabbitkit's enthusiasm.

[Rabbitpaw]

Rabbitkit went over to the fish, gave it a small bite, and declared,
" This is great! " Rabbitkit exclaimed. He took another bite, bigger this time, then thought not to eat anymore, just so that the other kits could have some too.
" I'll help you clean too " Rabbitkit said. He bounded back over next to Coalpaw and started to remove the dirty pieces of moss from the bedding and floor.

[Coalfoot]

Coalpaw purred at Rabbitkit. "Thanks for helping. You'll do great when you have to clean a den. It's required before you can pass training." She replaced the dirty moss with fresh bedding.

"Maybe I'll be a warrior when you become an apprentice. Then I could become your mentor!" Coalpaw chirped. She really liked the excited bundle of fur that dashed around, helping her clean the den.

[Rabbitpaw]

" That would be wonderful! " Rabbitkit said excitedly. His mind filled with the thoughts of becoming an apprentice and having a mentor and being able to explore the world outside of the nursery.
" I hope that you do get chosen to become my mentor, it would be so great! " Rabbitkit replied. He hoped that Coalpaw didn't have to leave too soon. He knew very few of the kits in the nursery and they were mainly the only other cats he got to talk with.

( Seriously though I hope you could be my mentor . I'm about half way there to becoming an apprentice, you might not be warrior by then though and if not we could just hangout as apprentices together )

< it'd be really fun to have you as an apprentice. I'll be done with training soon, as long as my mentor replies quickly. I'm patient, though. Almost as soon as Rabbitkit becomes an apprentice, Coalpaw might become a warrior. We'll just have to see how it all plays out>

Coalpaw beamed. "I think it'd be great too!" She finished the nest she was working on and moved onto another, allowing Rabbitkit to help her move all of the moss. It was a little slower since she wanted him to have a part and he was a lot smaller, but Coalpaw didn't mind very much.

It warmed her heart to see the fluffy little kitten. Maybe if she found the right cat, she could have kits of her own. Too bad she hadn't found a tom worth noticing yet... Coalpaw sighed. One day...

( Yay good job on warrior! I need to get going on Apprentice then Also I'm not sure how long this thread can go because their is only so much den cleaning to be done so we'll have to make some other thread soon. Maybe if you could tag me on one? That would be nice )

Rabbitkit continued to move the dirty pieces of moss of to the side and tried to do what Coalpaw was doing.
" This is kind of fun! " Rabbitkit decided. He hoped that all the apprentice duties were as fun as this, he guessed he would find out soon. Coalpaw seemed like the type of cat who would be a good mentor. When he became an apprentice, he wanted to go up to Wildstar or Robinfrost and ask if he could have Coalpaw as his mentor, if she hadn't already had a apprentice already.
