Grayshade hurried in a little late, out of breath. She always missed the Gatherings, but this time this time this time she was going to meet new cats and do those things cool cats did. Whatever they were. The gray she-cat glanced around for Liongrowl, her co medicine cat, but couldn't spot his pelt anywhere. One she did see, though, was the black pelt of one she did recognize: Crowwing. The scarred tom was one of the FireClan medicine cats, and so automatically entered in the pool of potential conversation partners. She picked her way around the other cats, nodding awkwardly at a few as she did, and tapped Crowwing's shoulder with her tail. "Hi!" she said, unsure of how exactly to do this. How does one even word. "I'm Grayshade, the new TreeClan medicine cat? You're Crowwing." She flinched a little. Thanks, Captain Obvious.

"Good," she dipped her head. "And you?"

" I'm from fireclan, what clan are you from?" Softpaw replied. Softpaw began thinking this wasn't that bad and she flicked her gaze up to look speckpaw in the eye as they talked

Bluepaw nodded her head she liked to hunt. "I'm not a fan of battling so I'm more of a hunter." she told her truthfully. The siamese she-cat studied her scars. "I'm sorry but is it okay if I asked how you got the scars?" she asked her.

"I don't mind at all. The one on my lip was given to me by my ex-mate when we were kits. The one on my forehead, flank, chest and shoulder was given to me by a rogue. The rest from a fox. I can't see in my right eye anymore." she meowed to Bluefeather

Spiderstar cleared his throat and got to his paws. "It appears that Wildstar is, like always, going to be a no-show. Let's just begin without her, shall we?" He declared, making sure he was loud enough for all of the gathered cats below to hear him. "For those of you who are wondering who I am, allow me to introduce myself. I am Spiderstar, the new leader of Treeclan. Unfortunately Beechstar has left us, and Whitehawk retired shortly before that. I'd also like to introduce my deputy, Magnoliafrost, as well as our two new medicine cats, Grayshade and Liongrowl." He explained, smiling at the cats below. "Currently Treeclan is doing quite well. With New Leaf coming back to us prey is back and our Clan is beginning to grow faster. One of our queens, Applefall, has retired from her duty, and we now have a new full-time mother, Lionstrike. Let us hope that her kits will grow strong and healthy." He said, steping back and giving a nod to Darkstar. "If you'd like to go next." He whispered, although he doubted she was paying attention.

The TreeClan apprentice ran up to Bluepaw, her eyes glittering. "Who are you? YOU are from which clan?" The tabby meowed challengingly. Before the other cat could answer she swung her head around and examined the gathered cats. "Wait actually..." The she-cat mewed, realizing this COULD be a cat from her own clan if only she had any sense in her nose to smell. Since she was a tiny kit she could barely smell anything. Slightly embarrassed she looked away and floated forward, leaving the other cat as she floated slowly away.

Crowwing turned around, expecting Willowpool or Liongrowl, but it ended up being another she-cat. Treeclan. Oh, Grayshade! "That would be correct." he purred. He was about to return the introduction only to listen to Spiderstar's news.
'So Treeclan had all their high ranks new to the position.' Crowwing noted that he would offer his assistance and wisdom whenever appropriate to the forested clan until he felt like they were back to the swing of things.
"Congratulations, Grayshade." He would have nudged her a bit, but with her flinch, he assumed that she was still unsure of him. He was of another clan, regardless of medicine cat or not. "I hope that Treeclan is treating you well. Being a medicine cat that is. I know that it was a bit odd for me to transition from warrior duties to being in the position I am today."

Bluepaw looked at Cherryheart with aww. "Wow that's cool! You fought a fox before. That's amazing, most cats would have died, you are on strong cat." Bluepaw rambled on and on. She was cut off by her own clanmate questioning her. "Umm I'm from Treeclan the same clan as you and I'm Bluepaw, and this is Cherryheart from Fireclan." she told the younger apprentice. Her attention then turned to her leader as he begin to speak.

Grayshade fell silent as she looked up at Spiderstar, the new leader. She ducked her head as he mentioned her and Liongrowl, and while they were waiting for Darkstar to comment on FireClan's status, she turned back to Crowwing.
"Thanks," she mewed with a small but genuine smile. "It's definitely a bit freaky. An apprentice already broke their leg, so that's keeping us busy, but I think Liongrowl and I are both settling in well." She blinked a bit in surprise. "You were a warrior before? I didn't know that!" She leaned forward a little. "What was it like, to change paths like that--besides 'odd', I suppose," she added with a little chuckle.

"Hello there. We managed to drive out the fox. I wasn't alone so I can't take all the credit." Cherryheart meowed.

( Blackthorn Jean-Jacques Leroy) Lionstrike padded into the clearing, her tail flicking behind her. She gave off an appearance that she didn't care about anything. But, in reality, she was trying to find a specific cat. Her icy eyes scanned the clearing as she paused. Then, she found him. She slowly moved her way toward him in the crowd, occasionally snapping at a cat to move out of her way. "Psst! Blackthorn!" she whispered when she reached him.

(Spiderstar)
Cloverstar smiled slightly, though her fur prickled with anxiety. Did Spiderstar mean something else with "good relations", or was she just paranoid (as usual) and looking too much into things? She didn't want to give it too much thought, lest she make it obvious at a place when making good impressions on everyone was the norm. "Yes, I hope so as well."
Her ears pricked slightly at Darkstar's inquiry to Robinstar. When she glanced, however, Robinfrost...wasn't there on the branch. Strange. It seemed more than a little unprofessional for the deputy to just leave his spot on the tree for no apparent reason.
"Has anyone seen where Robinfrost went?" she asked, addressing the question to neither of the two leaders in particular but loudly enough that wherever the deputy was, he'd probably hear it. "IceClan still needs a representative for announcements."
She looked around. Wildstar would be making no appearances yet again, it seemed. It was a bit of a worrying pattern--was the leader ill? Dead, but with it being covered up for some reason? She watched Spiderstar make his announcements for TreeClan before stepping down, evidently to let Darkstar take her turn. Cloverstar braced herself, already going over what she planned to say.

A chill crept down Crowwing's spine when being reported that an apprentice broke their leg. "An apprentice in my clan too get into an 'accident' this past moon, but he's doing his best in getting his warrior ceremony soon."
It was good; Grayshade and Liongrowl were doing well, and he trusted this apprentice in the two's paws. He grinned, figuring out that he caught Grayshade's attention. "It was a bit strange, but Forestbreak was going to retire and I was sort of raised by the medicine cats as a kit."
He shrugged. "You can say that my life is just one large oddball," he concluded, flicking his tail.
