Firebird shuffled her paws. "But... with my dreams, someday they could be real. Who says badgers can't attack the camp? Who says everyone won't get slain by those things? I-I know Mintfrost isn't real, because he's already dead. B-but everyone else... it's like looking in the future!" She stared down sadly. "I'm scared it will really happen. That one day, I'll wake up and see the whole camp destroyed just like my dreams. And... And even if I do convince myself it won't happen, they just won't go away!"

"you won't see that being as good a warrior you are you would wake up trust me, your the best warrior this clan has.. Better than me" he said resting his tail on her shoulder. She was better she wasn't weak or unpopular. She was braver and more self assured then he ever could be.

Firebird instantly looked up. "That's not true. You and Speckheart have always been better than me...." she murmured. They were older, stronger, faster... she was just the third person in the group. They had a brotherly connection, while she just stood there awkwardly as they grew up and went their separate ways. She wasn't strong. Heck-she wasn't even brave enough to fight a badger.

"I'm not very brave, I'm not strong or a good fighter,. You are" he said it was true.

"That's a lie, and you know it." she murmured. She didn't want to just agree to it so Foxclaw would stop, being that seemed rude to act as if she accepted being 'better than him'. But the warrior didn't see any other way around it besides insulting himself. "Stop it. Your a brave warrior-one of the best in the Clan. You can't just tell me one thing when it's not true. I'm strong, yes, I know I am. But I am certainly not the strongest." Pausing, she added more softly, "I don't even compare to some of the warriors in FireClan when it comes to courage or strength."

He looked. Over at her, he knew she was only trying to be polite, but he was not stronger than her he had to agree there were better cats, but not the way he saw things not in spirit, she was the most amazing cat he knew. "I guess you are right"

Firebird just nodded, though, deep down, she knew Foxclaw's words were just spoken to calm her down. Nuzzling her paws to do back to sleep, she couldn't help but sigh.

Seeing his jaws open in close, Firebird was confused. Did he want to say something? She was curious, but personal limits held her back. For a moment. Then she lifted her head. "Were you going to say something, Foxclaw? What is it?"

He shook his head . It wasn't a good time. His heart throbbed " n-nothing, lets just not lie anymore unless we have to"

Firebird nodded in agreement. What had he been trying to say? Agree not to lie... then why did you just now? 'Nothing' was obviously not what he was trying to say before. It hurt a bit, but she did not let it show, offering a warm smile in return. "Of course."

He smiled back, he had to lie because it just wasn't the right mood.

((End thread?))
She was drifting to sleep. Two seconds, she would be out cold.
