Spiderleaf laughed, relieved Robinstar wasn't pushing away her fretting. She was well aware the tom was nervous at best at the thought of befriending others. Partly she felt that was her own fault. "It counts," she allowed with a purr. "Are they here tonight? Are they nice? Come on, you can't hold out on me." The queen hounded, automatically looking around, even though she wouldn't recognize the apprentice even if they were present. In her mind it was natural for her to be interested in anyone so heavily involved with Robbie. THIS IS THE NEW YEAR

i'm golden I'm out on the edge and I'm screaming my name Like a fool at the top of my lungs Sometimes when I close my eyes I pretend I'm alright But it's never enough Cause my echo, echo Is the only voice coming back Shadow, shadow Is the only friend that I have |

The tabby laughed, unable to deny Wolfpaw's playful accusations. He was friendly and open, perhaps too much so, by nature. It was almost definitely what led to the illicit border meetings he'd endured all throughout his apprenticeship. Though looking around, neither Earthblossom or Willowpaw were around, which was actually a bit of a relief. "I'll talk your ear right off if you let me," he informed Wolfpaw with a wise nod. "That's the only way the queen's could ever shut me up as a kit. They assured me that their ears would fall right off, and I, a kit, began a voyage of silence in order to save them." The warrior chuckled at the foolishness, more amused rather than embarrassed that the playful threat had managed to hit him so seriously.
Raggedwolf's green eyes flickered with faint surprise before he was smiling again. It turned noticeably more flustered with Wolfpaw's actions, though he managed to keep it intact through sheer force of will. "No, no...Neither do I." He repeated with a bashful laugh, though was unable to return the wink. Getting the girl...he'd gotten, twice, and neither one on purpose. All it had led to was pain and hate. Getting the guy...? Well he was considering it.
His head lowered slightly, a nod of acceptance to Wolfpaw's words. Interesting and not bad. The pair were certainly good at giving compliments. The notion made him snort in amusement. "Rockclan is...." He paused thoughtfully. The thought of lying had never crossed his mind. "Small, as always. But I've just been given my first apprentice, and Spiderleaf and the other queens are doing well. We've certainly been worse, that's for sure." He admitted finally, a crooked smirk lighting his features then disappearing. "And your clan?"

MAPS CAN BE POEMS WHEN YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN | Just by watching the she-cat's varying facial expressions, Thicketpaw began to fear he'd scared her. Thankfully it passed quickly, and with an explanation no less, and the pale tabby allowed himself to relax. He chuckled, nodding his understanding. "Ok, I think I get you now." He replied. "It's nice to officially meet you. This is my first gathering, but I'm glad I got to meet someone fun rather than scary."He sighed, then covered his mouth as it turned into a yawn. "But Cloudclan am I tired."Crevicelight |

Mottledsnow Azaleapetal Thornfall A moment into the conversation and Lionpaw was already outnumbered. He glanced from Mottledpaw to Azaleapaw with growing fear. He had to be careful. One wrong word and he'd hurt their feelings, then they'd cry. Girls cried, and weaved flowers (he knew this despite what Orchidpaw said) and pretended to be warriors to make their clan look better while the males did all the real work. He'd been taught that from a young age, so now he was especially careful around females, maybe even a little scared of how fragile they were. "Mottledpaw? I'm Lionpaw, of Iceclan," he answered with a reserved nod, remaining polite.
Then he was either saved or sunk completely, as another cat arrived. It was yet another being to compete with...but they were male. That was a bit of a relief for him, since it was someone he automatically knew was born to be strong. "Hi dude," he repeated with a smirk. "I'm Lionpaw. That's Mottledpaw and Mystery meal," the tom added, gesturing to both Mottledpaw then Azaleapaw. "Join us." With that settled he glanced at Mottledpaw again. "To answer your question, this isn't my first gathering, but I still feel rather lost, so there's not much difference."

((too lazy for pink....))Mystery meal. Was he referring to her? The nerve of some tomcat who obvious didn't have any respect at all. With a glare and a lash of her tail, Azaleapaw made it obvious she was offended. "Excuse me, but that is not my name, and I will never agree with such a term should you start calling me as such. I am Azaleapaw, and that is all. I do not appreciate that title whatsoever." she said with her usual prideful tone of voice. Arrogant flea-bag. Turning to the new cat, she gave a light dip of her head in acknowledgement and then moved on to answer Mottledpaw's question. "This is indeed a first for me. I have never been to a place so crowded with strangers." she murmured the last bit a bit awkwardly, glancing around at all the cats and wondering just why everything was going so smoothly in terms of socialzing. ((Wait... Does Lionpaw think Thornpaw is MALE?! Thunderhowl Mottledsnow AzaleapetalThe other Treeclan apprentice ignored Thornpaw. She shrugged it off. It was alright. She seemed busy being offended anyways. That was important. She was somewhat happy that she was greeted back by... Lionpaw, she caught the name. She caught the name of all three. Mottledpaw, Lionpaw, and Azaleapaw. She was fairly sure she'd already given her name, but she'd repeat it if necessary. She gave a smile, that came out a bit more nervous than intended. " Y-Yeah... Me too! This is all new and about fifty million and seven different types of weird!"

"It's sort of my first too!" Crevicepaw admitted with a loud purring. "If you want to meet someone scary, you should meet the Deathclanners. I heard that they don't follow the warrior code." Although Crevicepaw tended to try to break as much rules as she could without getting in trouble, she knew certain laws of the warrior code were sacred and should not be tempered with at all. To her, Deathclan had no rules at all, other than to destroy. Once Thicketpaw mentioned that he was tired, the Turkish Angora nodded. He was younger than her anyways, so it was no surprise he would be the one to potentially knock out first. "I can walk you back to your border if you want," she suggested, wanting to spend more time with the tabby. "Or I think the Gathering might end soon, if you could stay up a bit longer."

Crowwing listened to the tom's response, trying to visualize Thistlekit or Thistlepaw in Beechstar's time. Avery different cat he saw in the warrior that stood before him today. "It really is." he laughed. "It's like keeping up with your warrior duties, but hunting herbs and remedies while fighting illness and injuries."
To mention his past as a warrior or not, the tom would wait for that. "I'm hoping that Treeclan is treating you well?"

Lionpaw seemed to be a curious one; reserving his respects for Thornpaw only. Hm. That was curious. "IceClan? You're such a small thing! I've always heard IceClan warriors were the biggest and the strongest, akin to mountain lions." She said, lightly teasing the tom. "I am sure you will get there someday, Lionpaw." She turned her attentions to Azaleapaw for a moment, "I've always taken comfort in that many of the other cats here are also uncomfortable. This is the breeding ground of discomfort, and maybe it's up to you to balance it out. You'll probably make friends very easily as long as you're approachable." She spoke kindly before waiting for either cat to respond.

MAPS CAN BE POEMS WHEN YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN | "It is?" Thicketpaw remarked with surprise. "But you're so...." He stopped himself from saying old. "Err, experienced. Much more so than I am anyway." Whew, nice save. At the mention of Deathclan Thicketpaw grew more somber, but that was only to hide his intense curiosity. "Have you ever met a Deathclan cat?" He asked, sitting up straighter. He knew the rumors about them, but he had always wanted to see if they were true for himself. The gathering was going to be ending soon? Well, he was more comfortable with that notion than he'd like to let on. He still hadn't lost the last of his pudge from kithood, where he'd done nothing but eat and sleep. Truthfully if it weren't for his training he'd still be fat. He wasn't lazy, he was prioritizing his sleep. "You think? Well never let it be known that I back down from a challenge," he insisted, kneading his paws as if preparing for battle. "Would you really have walked me to the border? That's so sweet Crevicepaw. Careful, I might fall head over heels for you if you keep up this manly heroism." He teased with a smirk, nudging the she-cat lightly. Crevicelight |

Lionpaw's smile softened at Azaleapaw's endearing display. Ah yes, there it was. The delicate nature of she-cat's making it's first appearance, just as he'd predicted. He'd never been in contact with so many before, it was like traversing a war zone, trying to avoid upsetting any of the fragile beings. "My apologies, Azaleapaw. But you'll find that if you'd merely introduced yourself as Mottledpaw and myself did, I wouldn't have been left to my own devices." Then again, he did have his pride. The golden tom nodded once, deeming the matter settled and turned with a smile to Mottledpaw.
He laughed off what he deemed to be an insult, trying to quell the prickle of annoyance that rang along his spine. Small? Well what was wrong with small? Orchidpaw had said he hadn't looked like a lion either. Well he was still growing, just as Mottledpaw had said, even if she did do so in a teasing way. "Next gathering, I bet I'll tower above you," he smirked, matching her teasing tone then adding a determined swish of his tail. So......Thornpaw was a girl. He'd been unable to tell at first. Maybe it had just been very strong denial on his part. With a defeated sigh Lionpaw sat down, shaking his head. Where were all the toms at these things? He consoled himself pretty quickly. The males were sleeping, preparing for their warriors duties the next day. It made sense that it was mainly females at the gathering, since they had much more time for socializing and the like. Feeling a little more comfortable with that, Lionpaw's smile brightened. "That's a rather big number Thornpaw," he laughed. "I'm sure you'll get used to it. Despite the fact we're all from different clans, it's rare to find an openly hostile cat around here."
Mottledsnow Azaleapetal Thornfall Hahahah, I completely missed that she was a girl xD Sorry

Thornpaw flattened her ears. She harshly poked Lionpaw in the side, feeling rather brave. " Shoosh you rudey booty." She scolded. Then she sat back down on the ground. " Yeah.... It's a big number. Big numbers are good for prey counts." She tilted her head to the side, hearing Lionpaw say that hostile cats weren't common. " Eh... Aren't we all from different clans? Aren't we supposed to be enemies or somethin'?" She asked. " Really sorry I'm really new and don't know a thing." She explained, in case they thought she was being weird. She noticed the grumpy sigh from Lionpaw. She studied him carefully. " Do you have a problem with me?" She questioned. Thunderhowl Azaleapetal Mottledsnow

Mottledpaw smiled at that. It seemed his..slight insult? was going over her head. "Maybe! I was and am the biggest of my litter, though. Logically, I'm not sure if that will be possible. You are a bit smaller than my brothers...but much more adorable I can assure you!" She spoke, this time without the teasing tone. She wasn't really meaning any offense at this point, and wasn't aware it was probably coming out that way. "However, your mother must have really believed in you and I am sure she still does. With a strong name like Lion, I will bet you're someone who can do the impossible. Lion's are the worlds bravest creatures, and bravery is not measured in size." She finished with another smile, flicking the tip of her tail.

Robinfrost grinned, poking Spidermask lightly with his tail. "That might be a little weird if you met her, without any background information," he told her, shaking his head in amusement. "Her name is Oakpaw. I don't know if she's here yet, though." He scanned the crowd with frost blue-green eyes. "I'm not sure if she decided to come or not. Perhaps I should have asked her." He turned back to Snap. "It feels like forever since I've seen you."

(mwahaha and so enters hermionecat) Oakpaw had been looking around for Geckopaw, but had not yet found her--she wasn't sure if the wacky cat was coming or not, and though she hadn't wanted to stick close to home, she didn't seem to have the guts to go up to anyone else. She wasn't exactly a young apprentice and she knew that, but she was built a little more FireClan-y (gross) than all the muscular cats that seemed to be suffocating her from every side. She caught sight of a quite a few apprentices that could have squashed her like a gnat. So, though she wasn't at all keen to hang near Dappledpaw and Rabbitpaw, the most she could do when she accidentally bumped another young she-cat--FireClan, by the smell of her--was to back away and mumble an apology. But she wanted to meet other cats, she thought, frustrated. She brightened as she spotted Robinstar 's coat through the crowd. Certainly her mentor could point her towards some hopefully-not-terrorists, and she wandered through the crowd towards him, hanging behind him as she realised he was already speaking with someone--a white she-cat with black patches. They seemed to know each other well enough, and she didn't want to intrude--so she sat back and waited to be noticed while all the same trying not to eavesdrop, or look like she was doing anything of the sort.
